I agree we are waiting specifically on Toxicology reports correct? If they had found nothing I think we would have heard by now. It makes me think something is brewing also, that and the fact WH is still in jail. Toxicology is for drugs and typically takes about 6 weeks according to this article:

http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/addiction/features/the-truth-about-toxicology-tests?page=3

<Why do the forensic toxicology tests take so long?
Getting a complete and accurate forensic toxicology test result can be a lengthy process for a variety of reasons, according to the College of American Pathologists and experts interviewed by WebMD.

There may be a lot of specimens that need to be tested, which means more testing time. And as an investigation proceeds, information about the possibility of another drug being involved may surface, so even more testing may be needed.>

I don't see AJ as a drug user, she was active in sports. Are they speculating someone drugged her? Why Toxicology? Does the ME make the determination for COD? Again I have to wonder why it is taking so long......

Here is another good link:

http://www.dfs.virginia.gov/laboratory-forensic-services/toxicology/

<Examiners in the Toxicology Section analyze body fluids and tissues for the presence and concentrations of alcohol, drugs, and other potential poisons. Support is provided to Medical Examiners to assist in determining cause and manner of death, and to law enforcement agencies investigating crimes where drug or alcohol use may be implicated.

Non-Implied Consent Cases
Law enforcement agencies also submit blood, urine or other body fluids from suspects or victims of other crimes. Examples of these situations include drug-facilitated sexual assault, DUI/D investigations not pursuant to the implied consent statute, and child abuse or endangerment.>

Hmmmm.

JHM, LEO is getting all their facts together before they do anything. Tox report is part of the Autopsy report. It will either back up or dispute findings/theories. Example: they cant arrest someone for drugging her and she died, if no drugs were found in her system. LEO is on their timetable not ours. Murder, if that's what it is deemed to be, has no statue of limitations for filing charges.

I totally agree. But at this time no one has been charged on any drug crime. Even though we have heard there was residue on the scales found. And I very much agree more crimes may have been found in the investigation. By whom or what? We just have to continue to wait. The wheels of justice is slow. As Larry Jegley said (Pros Attorney in Pulaski Cty AR, in the Beverly Carter case) at the press conference the afternoon after her remains were found that morning. The wheels of justice is slow, They will take their time and get it right. That's how we do it. I have faith that these involved in this case will do no less.

He may not have been charged, but he admitted to doing it, and admitted that it had been escalating. He admitted to breaking into someone's house, and to punching their dog in the face. This does not sound like a reformed sinner to me. Sky Masterson would have had to roll a lot of dice to reform this particular sinner...

On one hand I like the idea, but on the other hand it seems like an involved activity that requires a lot of work which is started way too soon. Scholarship funds are difficult to raise money for normally, and there will be a lot of questions due to questions about who is involved with fundraising and unanswered questions about AJ's death. Not to mention, who picks the winner.

Seems like a lot of energy around something that requires the same group of friends that might be better focused on one of the charities they have already staged events to support. Scheduling the golf tournament on 9/11 is a little odd too.

Something just occurred to me. AJ was found in a different county. I don't know how they do it in VA, but in my state if found to be crime committed ~ example missing from ABC but found to be murdered in XYZ it would become XYZ case. So that could be some of the hold up on info as well. JMHO

Praying for Justice For Anjelica.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I know I and several others don't post and/or read as often or as much because all the ads make the pages slow to load and eats up data. Not complaining, just stating the facts.

I was thinking about you today AJ. Hoping for justice for you soon.

I was thinking of AJ today, too, as I walked down to the docks (with my cats - and no, not on a leash). We just stroll and enjoy speaking to neighbors on their balconies, and I think about her, wish she could go sailing, to the beach, to college, or married - children later, maybe and I just hurt whenever I come on here. What is going on? Why no toxicology reports or even COD? Is it really that complicated?

I go check on the Dermond case (Georgia) every chance I get, too. Can't believe how crazy that case is and it may never be solved. However, I hate this for the families and their pain, more than my need to know. Love WS, peace for AJ.

I hope I'm not too far OT.

I just watched the Paradise Lost series of documentaries on the West Memphis murder case, where three little boys (Michael Moore, Chris Byers, and Steve Branch) were killed and justice seems to have been on holiday. Three young men were arrested on dubious grounds and were ultimately released after taking an Alford plea. So it seems the real killer was never caught. (Some would disagree; I am on the side of the filmmakers and those who believe that the men arrested were not guilty.)

Those of you who've seen the documentaries will know that John Mark Byers, the stepfather of one of the murdered boys, is an interesting character. "Bigger than life"--how seldom that descriptor is used in a positive way! And he makes himself look very guilty during a good bit of the first two films. By the third film, it appears that he's no longer under most people's suspicion.

This is a man who has done many bad things, who is seldom straightforward or truthful, who loves being the center of attention. He practically carries an "I'm Guilty" sign for much of the first movie. (At one point, he gives a member of the film crew a knife that comes to figure in the case.)

Over and over again, I thought of Wesley Hadsell. The similarities are manifold. You've got these characters who would be funny, entertaining in some ways, if the question wasn't whether or not they were guilty of killing their children.

I don't know whether the documentaries can shed any light on AJ's case, but they certainly led me to realize how easy it can be to assume that someone like that is guilty.

Had Zach and the girls on my mind today. In the worst turmoils of their lives I hope they are able to enjoy some summer time, and make some special memories. Haven't been watching SM of anyone lately, and see no updates from media, so I guess we wait until trial for the other charges, figuring there will be delays, and it will be rescheduled for later this year, and pray that AJ's remains have been able to tell her story since her voice was taken. :( Sure would love to see a charge for her murder, as well as some obstruction charges. Until then we wait. and the family and loved ones mourn.
