Richard Gere's son is also Homer, named after Gere's dad.

Personally, i think it a lovely name.

i don't watch and have never (apart from the clip of Tom Cruise outed) the Simpsons. :p
Well, if I didnt have kids or (kid in my case) I probably would never have watched it either....the Simpsons cracks me up, even though I'm a bit over them now as they are all repeats....Futurama is funny too...

I don't remember the Tom Cruise being outed clip, are you getting that mixed up with South Park maybe?

She's got to be (ostensibly, of course) the most unstable Hollywood personality that I've ever seen.

LOL, I agree... :D

Richard Gere and his wife also picked that name. Ugh. Celebrity names are way out there. The poor kids.

Anne Heche was on my favorite soap opera, Another World. She played twins and won emmys for her role. I followed her career when she left AW up until she got tangled up with Ellen. It was just too wierd to me. I have watched Men in Trees and enjoyed it very much until recently. It lost it's appeal once everyone started sleeping with everyone else and then I lost track of who is with whom.

Anne and the cast of that show are up here in Vancouver filming so there are a lot of sightings of the whole cast. It makes me very sad to hear that yet more hollywood children are having families torn apart, based on whatever feels good at the moment. I thought that Anne had finally gotten herself pulled together but here we go again...........:banghead:

She had an affair with Ellen DeGeneres and had a breakdown after they broke up in 2000. She wrote a book about her instability in 2001, called "Call Me Crazy". Ooh, I can use the crazy smilie

Right, thanks 22 :)

I knew she was with DeGeneres but didn't know she had a breakdown or that she wrote a book..

narla...In particular, I think what samhoney was referring to was an incident where Anne Heche ended up in a strangers yard or doorstep in LA, in the midst of the throws of some kind of breakdown, and when face to face with the homeowner, she claimed she was the "Daughter of God". Apparently the homeowner recognized her as a fairly well known actress, but Anne denied who she was and kept calling herself "Celestia". Word spread like wildfire throughout Hollywood about this.

She was so good as Vicki/Marley!!! Oh, man. I caught a commercial for Another World and it was enough to make me start watching. Anne just chewed those other actors up, spit them out and sent them crying home to Mama. No one came close to matching her talent.

LOL yes she did. When Another World went of the air, I recorded the last week of episodes. I am embarassed to say that I still have those episodes. Ya color me obsessed.......lol

I don't like the way that Anne Heche used Ellen. Heck, Ellen lost her show and almost wrecked her career because of this woman. I've always liked Ellen and am glad that she is back. She's a natural comedian, IMO. :)

I'm so annoyed that Jack on Men in Trees is back with his ex on the show. The chemistry between him and Ann's character, Marin, was so HOT! I guess it was hot for real too... I think Hollywood types can't tell the difference between infatuation and love. It's so easy to get infatuated with someone that you've only known a short time, and working so closely, naturally they develop a bond. But that's a far cry from love and then they throw away their marriages and run off their new "love". :bang:
