Anthony Family Spokesman Resigns/Is Fired *all threads merged*

That's how it reads to me, too.
$6,500.00 just seems like such a small amount of money for a licensing fee. Sounds more like a commision on the licensing fee???

(We'll soon find out more...)

ITA. I see this as the commission. We shall see.

Oy Vey! Can this saga get anymore disturbing? I really don't beleive he was an asset to this family in the first place. We hardly heard from him because they A's were going on every TV show that would hear thier lies. Why have a spokesperson when your not going to keep your mouth shut. The spokesperson is supposed to speak for you did anyone run that by the A's. It seems not. I can't wait til that gag order is in place. What is CA going to do then? She can not keep quiet and her nose out of people business.

I remember, from the latest interviews that were released, when Yuri suggested a family spokesman to George. He even suggested the self-appointed family minister.

You are right....the As chose someone from LA. He wasn't local or easily "in the loop." His shining quality, though, seems to have been media connections and the fact that he, personally, has made money off high profile cases. It will be interesting to see who is right in this he said/she said.

A family spokesperson could/should have reduced dramatically Cindy's interaction with the media. I join you in being anxious for the gag order!!

I hope they are not expecting any sympathy that their paycheck was stolen :boohoo:. I forgot...they don't care about the money . Their credibility is gone and people are going to believe him before they do the A's, whether true or not.

I don't think any of this has anything to do with the A's thinking their "paycheck" was stolen. It has everything to do with the fact that they were totally shot down by the public for receiving money for photos used in the NBC interview, which it now appears they never received and knew nothing about.

I don't believe that LG stole from them.C'mon...It sounds to me like a commission as a spokesperson. CA originally said 13000...hmmm...I believe she thought they should get all the money and forgot about paying fees for representation..Honestly, I have a hard time believing that the whole world is out to steal from the A's...Get a grip lady!!!

I just can't agree with this. I'd like to...but trust me...does Cindy look like the type that doesn't know what's going on...especially if she brought these people onboard in the first place?

I think she's keeping track of every single penny.

My bold...
I'm betting Garrison is hoping.

Then I guess you'll have to discount the emails between Cindy and the NBC Rep (in which Cindy points out that she and George received no payment for their interview), and the invoice for payment faxed from LG's office in California.

Why would NBC be paying LG a commission as a spokesperson???

Think who took a media hit for "profiting" from Caylee's disappearance. And now we may have a scapegoat. If he is the one who made the profit, I hope they have grounds to sue him. If not, I hope he takes them to court.

As per usual, he seems to be talking fairly nicely about the A's. He is being pretty vague about why he is leaving and why now at this time. However the A's don't seem to feel the same compunction to talk nicely about him.

Hey, wasn't this guy a friend of the family?

Yes. Rick said that CA paid their mother back for KC's theft.

If I remember right, I believe Rick said his mom really, reeeeally wanted to prosecute Casey for the theft, but Cindy somehow talked her out of it by going into her own 401k and paying back at least some of the funds (not sure whether it was the entire amount).

How much better off they all would have been (especially, of course, little Caylee :() had they just let Casey suffer the consequences of her criminal actions at that time instead of bailing her out so that she could continue to scam and scheme and hurt....and worse.

I know that Cindy has done a lot of things that have angered people, but can't anyone accept that just maybe not everything she does is evil? Maybe she and George really were conned by LG in this instance, and there is no ulterior motive other than perhaps her wanting to know why NBC said payment was made when, to her knowledge, there was no payment?

Hi Chilly :)

To tell the truth, I can't stand that LG guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did hoodwink them. I definitely would accept at face value the obvious explanation for this media payment thing with most folks -- I mean, it seems pretty straightforward and very well could be the truth.

However, taking anything CA claims as the entire truth doesn't seem a safe bet to me at this point. Because she's been so deceptive since the beginning, I don't believe a word out of her mouth unless/until there's no explanation other than her own and there's some major corroboration from a trustworthy source not affiliated in any way with the Anthonys.

Obviously, LG was paid a photo licensing fee. But I don't know if that's the whole story. I have no idea what arrangement, if any, there may have been between the A's and LG or even Casey/JB as far as the monies go.

Frankly, I wouldn't trust LG or CA as far as I could throw either of them...so I have to take a wait and see stance with this one. I don't think it's unreasonable at all for folks not to believe anything Cindy says, though. It's unfortunate, but she has no one to blame but herself for the perception that she's a dishonest person.

Yup, yup, yup! Had KC been stopped at any point as she descended into worse and worse aggregious acts it *might* have saved Caylee. She escalated and escalated was never checked. so she moved on to the next level.

As KC said herself to LA on July 16, maybe I should have been stopped before.

Isn't a spokeperson another way of saying PR agent? Agents get a cut of all monies from work they book for their client.

Ahhh yes, every grieving grandparent of a missing child must deal with the complexities of paying their PR guy. This family amazes me in ways I cannot believe.

"Due to the erratic behavior over the last several months exhibited by the Anthony family, Larry Garrison is resigning as their spokesperson. It is my opinion that others have manipulated them into situations, that would not dignify the family. I can no longer be part of that behavior. I wish them all the peace and resolution they so deserve. The truth always comes out in the end, and in this case 'The truth is better than the spin,'" the statement said.

Oh...the spin...he should have seen that from miles away. :bang:

AKA...Their daughter murdered her baby. I'm out!
