I voted no immunity, go after them for obstruction.

I'm sorry but.. once a liar always a liar. I have a REALLY hard time even trying to convince myself that CA might tell the truth... she's just too twisted, just like Casey!

There's too much evidence/tampering pointing towards obstruction and I'm so tired of LE in general (not just OC) letting the bad guy get away with it!

I have not been able to read this whole thread, but wanted to add what if their truth is going to be like when Casey finally decided to tell the truth and admitted she never dropped Caylee off at the apartment, but Zanny and her sister held her down while they stole Caylee at the park.

I do feel sorry for George and Cindy, but I am not sure how much I would trust them with telling the truth. Will she ever admit there was NEVER a Zanny. If she ever admits that then I will start to believe her until then I am afraid I will question everything that comes out of her mouth. I do hope and pray they can come to terms with losing Caylee. She was a precious baby girl. :(

I think if your beloved grandchild were " missing " you would offer only the truth and give all of the details in hopes of finding her!
It's just too late for Cindy and George now! Besides, I'm not sure if they can even tell the truth. Lies, half-truths, and mistruths spill so easily from their mouths, and it appears to be a way of life in that family!

I think they suspected the worst from the beginning. With Casey's history of constant lying, their minds must have raced through a thousand scenarios. A bad drug deal? A kidnapping? Did she sell/give the baby away? They may have initially hoped that any one of these scenarios was the truth rather than facing the possibility that their own daughter could have taken Caylee's life. Did George eventually know the truth? Was he trying to spare Cindy? (I keep thinking of the jail house visit with Casey, when Cindy said they had to bring Caylee back before her third birthday. At one point after Casey said something ridiculously unhelpful, you hear Cindy reply, "Casey..." in a pleading tone so full of exhausted exasperation.) So many questions.

or perhaps the state of Fl for pursuit of thier little nanny game...:twocents:--or to perhaps to texas equsearch or real missing kids organizations---one that actually pursue the truth and do more than t-shirts and flyers along with billboards....:waitasec::woohoo:

AS KC would say Absolutely!

Most of us here do not think the A's had anything to do with the murder of Caylee. And really problably do not know many facts told to them by KC, have they hidden or not told things? Most likely, but I do not think many of us would hand anything to LE that would for sure convict our own child. Up until a few years ago it was expected that a parent would cover for their own child, kind of like they expect a spouse to cover for the other one.

The Anthonys have lost so much in the last 6 months and the extent of the horror of this situation has not come full circle. There will be enough evidence to convict KC that she left behind and the lies she has told without punishing GA and CA for anything they may or may not have known or should have known. They are a destroyed family already.

this is one of many posts I have seen that I agree with. The last line says it all - their lives are destroyed - forever. Nothing, no prison sentence, etc. is going to be any worse than what they are facing now and will live with the rest of their lives. I dont think anyone on WS would deny that from all the pictures we have seen of this family before this happened, G&A were loving, doting grandparents.

People are given immunity all the time for a lot of different reasons, giving George and Cindy immunity here will not wreak havoc on the justice system in the future, either here in Florida or across the nation.

I doubt OCSO will charge them with anything, and I don't think the FBI will either. Why bother, why waste the time and money involved in charging them for anything - I don't think the Anthoys had anything to do with the death of Caylee, or covering up the fact that Casey did it, I don't think they have anything to say that would dramatically change the course of or the outcome of this case. OCSO and FBI knew exactly what they were dealing with when they dealt with the Anthonys.

You have NO IDEA how many women I have talked to about this case that say they would have done the same things that the A's did!!!! They say they wouldn't want to lose a granddaughter AND a daughter and would do whatever necessary to cover up her crime - even spiriting her out of the country if necessary!!! I WAS FLOORED!

I believe a very large part of the problems in this country come from no consequences for actions. My children all know and expect no less than to be held accountable for their actions. I was amazed at the lack of parenting exhibited by those I spoke with (at least 30 people)!!

Did your kids grow up with consequences that fit the deed? Mine did too. Thank GOD we will never be in this position because we raised responsible adults.

If God forbid mine were ever faced with the after math of destruction caused by their own hand, I believe they would tell the truth.

I'd rather see them sitting in jail for obstruction than hear the "truth" from them now.

LE and the SA's office will be able to piece together what really happened to Caylee, we don't need Cindy's sanitized version of it (done only in order to save her azz! No thank you). I don't believe that woman is capable of telling the truth even if she wanted to!

When the news of Caylee's disappearance first hit national news and Cindy's 911 tape describing the car was played, and their grief seemed overwhelming that I felt the press was intrusive enough to rip at my heartstrings to say to myself "Why aren't they letting these people alone so they can deal with this mess!??!" Only to have the documents begin trickling out and reading information and hearing Cindy and George's own statements about what happened, only to have my BS meter start going off right and left.

When they would hold press conferences to take the opportunity to plead to the "kidnappers" for Caylee's release, only to hear a long dissertation of Cindy's lack of sleep and how difficult it's been for her to eat and what her mother's daily schedule is and how her mom struggles to take care of her dad and how her dad had a stroke a couple years ago and how her little dogs are distressed........and oh yeah, it's about Caylee....When they started changing their story, when they began lying to whoever was in front of them, contrary to their written statements to LE, when they started making up stuff about anyone and everyone who had been in contact with Casey, regardless and in fact most often BECAUSE of whatever damage Casey had caused that person, when they began attacking the people who were trying to help them, like TM and LP, when they were mocking people such as NG whose show has brought out more people who want to find out what happened to Caylee than her own grandparents.......

They lost my ability to put anything down to grieving grandparents and made themselves very well known as liars and people who will distort whatever they have to, pervert any law they feel they shouldn't have to agree with, and complicate matters enough for LE so that they do not have to face the fact that THEY ARE HORRIBLE PARENTS WHO RAISED A HORRIBLE DAUGHTER WHO DID A HORRIBLE THING then I am not inclined to have my compassion manipulated NOW when the evidence points to the fact that their granddaugher lay rotting in a woods 1300 feet from their own back yard.

For Caylee, my compassion says that these people have done what they have willfully done not in a denial and not in a grief. They have done it with malice in their hearts toward anyone who will bring the truth of what happened to their granddaughter to the light of day, and I am hopeful that the LE in Orlando makes the determination that the Anthony's and their attorney understand that they do not get to dictate how the law deals with their quite reprehensible behavior in the past 6 months.

If the information they have will give them immunity now, then it was obviously information LE needed quite some time ago. Shame on them for their manipulation and lies. My compassion will be focused on that they somehow find a way to live with themselves, not on hoping they get away with having lied continuously.

:blowkiss: very good post.....totally agree...
sadly this has never been about Caylee---only about all the other bs....:twocents:

Now BC is going to half to take a read as hopefully JB has about: "Psychiatry in the Everyday Practice of Law". This is a lawyers guide for case preperation & trial. I would guess the lawyers invoved from the beginning didn't have a clue what they were in for from KC or her family.

This is absurd. Just tell the truth for the love of God, and do so for your granddaughter whom you profess to love and not for yourselves. As recently as the LKL appearance last week George was lying about his thoughts regarding the smell in the car. How things have changed.

I have this niggling little thing hanging in the back of my brain. Casey was NOT a young woman. She was a 22-year-old teenager. I'm not sure she could accomplish this without help from somebody. I didn't used to feel this way but the more I think about it, the scarier it gets for me.

Remember that she wasn't employed, didn't even have gas money, she wasn't like most of the rest of us who - if we got really PO'd - could go to a motel and spend the night and cool off. She was so completely dependent on everybody else.

I'm scared what may come out. I don't think she could have disposed of the body without help. :(

I think if she had that kind of help Caylee would still be missing.

Incredible! Either Brad C. has stronger Koolaid than CA -OR- LE found some pretty damning evidence in that house!

:eek::eek::eek:

I'm just glad that I am not the one who is making the decision on whether or not to give them immunity. And I would think that decision would be very hard without knowing just exactly what it was they had done, how far their actions took them.

Does this immunity and 'honesty' include LA?

Some points that are going to have to be looked at are how much did they know that they hid? How much did they physically do themselves? How much more extended was the search because of their actions, how many other people's lives, well being, reputation was endangered because of their actions?

If they get immunity, I can only hope that it includes a clause that they cannot make any money over Caylee's name. That is there is any book or movies or other deals that any monies received over and above the cost of Caylee's burial must be donated to charity.

This is absurd. Just tell the truth for the love of God, and do so for your granddaughter whom you profess to love and not for yourselves. As recently as the LKL appearance last week George was lying about his thoughts regarding the smell in the car. How things have changed.

This ENTIRE family has literally and figuratively thrown Caylee away like a bag of garbage in order to save themselves. And this is just the next phase of that.

The only reason we're going to (MAYBE) get the truth from the Anthony's now is so they don't face charges. Nothing about this is for Caylee. NOTHING.

 YES! Interview them while they are hooked up to the poly!

Won't happen-Conway calls poly "hocus pocus." I kinda thought I liked him at first-now I see he's just like the rest. MN was so smart to cut and run when he did!!:twocents:

I said No, but the only way I would give them full immunity is if they sign something that they will not make any money off this crime. I think this is how thew expect to pay for this dream team. I do not believe however the A's had anything to do with the death of Caylee.

The Anthony grandparents are not responsible or liable for the "dream team" that Baez has put together. They are Casey's lawyers & forensic experts. Most, if not all, are there pro bono, IMO. Dr. Henry Lee already admitted on Nancy Grace that he was doing this case pro bono. I believe Dr. Kobilinski did as well. All the big names will most certainly earn more than $$ by donating their services & taking part in this "high profile" case. Publicity & consistent media exposure is priceless in their professions.

The Anthonys attorney, Brad Conway, stated yesterday that he had taken this case representing Cindy & George, pro bono as well.

Baez will be compensated by the State as Casey is indigent. Possibly others will too.

Rummy :cat:

I hope that they are doing this for the right reason and not to save their own butts. Caylee is the right reason. They loved her dearly and I don't know how CA let KC take her in a fit of anger, if that was the case. Poor Caylee should not have been subjected to any of that. CA and GA should have gotten full custody of Caylee a long, long time ago. I know that they know that in their hearts. They had to see signs that KC wasn't stable. It is NOT CA and GA's fault that Caylee is gone because they could have never imagined that KC could be a murderer or at the very least, an accessory to murder. It is their fault for NOT putting Caylee's interests before KC's. They knew KC better than anyone - they raised her and they lived with her. Now they have to live with all of this. That is punishment enough although I think we would all like a public apology to Caylee.

well said
