I don't disagree that it seems to be a concocted story.

I just can't see any motive to do it.
A murder is a murder no matter when they leave the house.

By establishing that they left the house, GA continues the 'everything was just peachy' theme. This clears CA & GA of any suspicion, removes motive for KC to kill Caylee after a huge fight, and ensures that CSI's don't swarm the A house before the evidence fades.

I think George and Cindy's only fault was not believing that Casey did this. I think they honestly believed she was innocent, and thought that certain details would "make" Casey look guilty, so in their minds - they "omitted" things or smoothed them over. IE: the big fight on fathers day.

I think at this point, they are finally coming to sadly realize that yes, Caylee is dead, and yes Casey most likely did it, and are going to tell all to get Caylee justice.

I think a lot of people think that they were deliberately trying to get Casey off the hook on this, but I think it is more a case of them not believing it and not wanting to add to the hype.

I can not believe the anger, rage and sadness they must be feeling right now. Hearing Casey's words in thier heads "she is close to home, Mom understands" " I just want Casey to come home Dad" - knowing she killed that baby girl and just led them on for hours and hours.

I can't imagine how they feel right now, and I think they DO want justice for Caylee, and they want the truth.

Bingo! Faefrost, I think this was the whole purpose of the sighting on the 16th. It took empathis away from the fight on the previous night and also moved the crime away from the A home.

I have never fully believed in G's story of the 16th.I asked my DH what I was wearing yesterday and he didn't remember one item! I then asked my best friend's husband who I spent the better part of the day with and he couldn't name one thing. GA must be an exceptional man.

Didn't they not tell us about the fight anyway?

I may not remember correctly but I thought they lied about that too?>

And this is exactly the reason I don't believe the A's will be offered immunity. I could be wrong, but I don't think they can be trusted to tell the truth.

I don't understand the lie part of it either---but why would ga state he saw them (giving complete discription of clothing worn--) yet iirc correctly kc worked 9-1---even a split shift at this point doesn't allow ga to see her at 12:50 to complete the wardrobe detail...

I've always been on the fence about this one. Maybe I am putting too much personal 'stuff' on it, which I try hard not to do with this case, BUT...

My Dad is really cool old Fart, and he is also a real Guy's Guy. When asked a question, especially if he feels an answer will help, he just doesn't have it in him to say, "I don't know." He'd rack his brain to come up with the closest answer, (or in this case 'recollection') that he could.

Especially if it came to HIS grand-daughter. I can see him mixing up days, and also know he likely would know exactly what my Daughter had on the last time he saw her. (She's in last year of college now, but back then as a toddler, Gpa's entire world was about her.)

I tilt back on forth on GA simply being confused about days, and deliberately misleading. And on the days I tilt with the benefit of the doubt, I only have to think about my Dad to understand how GA might have unintentionally gotten it wrong.

I'm still on the fence.

I believe that LE has more than ample evidence to send Casey away for a long time, even hand down the Death Penalty. I really can't fathom that anything that the Anthony's have to say would be worth immunity at this point. Certainly they weren't worried about it before the body was found, which sends up a red flag.

I truly hope the state doesn't consider this a serious option.

ITA! I don't believe the Anthony's have anything pertinent to offer.

Has Conway gone to the SA or to LE? I haven't heard anything more about it.

She not only knew it was missing but, per George, probably knew that it was the last thing Caylee was seen in. I think Caylee was killed in the house on the night of the 15th. KC may have wrapped her in the sheet and took her to the car telling George that she was asleep and that she was taking her to Zanny's house. I think this is a good reason for George to lie to LE about seeing them leave. If he had told them that Caylee was asleep and wrapped in a sheet when she left LE would immediately entertain the possibility that Caylee was dead and not asleep. So that their house would not be suspected of being the scene of the crime, they portrayed the night before and that morning as normal.

It wouldn't be so important for CA to question KC about a sheet that was only missing but knowing that Caylee was wrapped in it, supposedly asleep, would make them think of the possibility that Caylee was dead and not asleep. Instead, there was no fight, GA knew exactly what both were wearing, hugs, kisses, etc. No reason to look at the house as a crime scene, Zanny did it.

Now comes the rumors of Caylee being wrapped in a covering when she was found, the linens on Caylee's bed taken as evidence, and their worst fears are being realized. Caylee was dead when she left the house on the 16th and LE can prove this. Their statements about the circumstances of KC and Caylee leaving become lies and obstruction of justice so that now they need immunity to admit the correct story.

As a side note, I think the reason KC took Caylee's clothes off was so that she wouldn't be found in the pajamas CA put on her before tucking her into bed that night.

I am addressing what I have bolded...I very seriously doubt that the reasoning behind the Anthony's offer to FINALLY be honest is anything to do with their wanting justice for Caylee. I would say it is more their fear that they will be prosecuted for the perjury that they have committed and the tampering with evidence that they LIKELY have done. If they were concerned about justic for Caylee in any way THAT would have revealed itself long ago. Let us not forget that while they were PRETENDING to believe that Caylee was still alive and the victim of a "kidnapping" that they never even one single time made a plea to the "kidnappers" for her safe return...THIS tells me all I need to know about their intentions concerning Justice For Caylee...they had and still have none...they are concerned about themselves at this point and likely from the beginning of all of this.:furious:

What is hinky to me about GA saying he saw them on the 16th is this..

Before it was brought to light by LE, via the Father's Day video, a Caylee sighting was reported by a friend of the A's at a strip mall. The sighting was prior to June 16th..cannot remember exact date, but I want to think the 9th or 10th. Anyway, the person said they saw Caylee wearing exactly what GA described as him seeing Caylee wearing on the day of the 16th. That is just hinky.

Also the Greta video at the A's home..where GA starts to say he was watching the NEWS and then with a nudge from CA(she states BEFORE WORK) he switches it to something on Food Network.

I have NEVER and will NEVER believe GA saw KC or Caylee on the 16th period. JMO.


ETA..I also believe that during the LE interviews GA states KC told him she wasn't coming home that night but in CA's interview she states that KC called them later that day to say she wasn't coming home. HINKY, they cannot get this day straight no matter how hard they try.

Yeah, after a million LIES why would it be believed that THIS TIME they were bing honest. They KNEW there were discrepancies all along-they made them up and planned them out together to cast doubt...But the question that I ask myself is WHY are they NOW willing to come clean?

To profit from her death is the ONLY reason that I can come up with that makes any sense whatsoever. They KNOW if they are charged and convicted they will be prohibited from profitting from her death, and THIS is unacceptable to them. They are willing to throw Casey to the wolves at this point to insure that they continue to be allowed to make money from this child's death.

I PRAY that in consideration of JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE that the State will deny this offer and seek the full recourse of charges available to prosecute the crimes committed by EVERY member of this family to the FULL extent of the law.:furious:

I still think I would not grant immunity at this stage, but offer it during the trial...right at the time they invoke their 5th amendment privilege to remain silent.

I would offer it to try to wipe out the 5th amendment privilege and compel testimony.

I don't think CA and GA saw them either. I have never believed GA's story about what KC and Caylee were wearing on June 16. I can't remember what my children were wearing when they left this morning. God forbid if one of them is missing, because I wouldn't be able to give the police an accurate description of the clothing.

I get lost on here sometimes so if I am posting in the wrong thread just let me know. I think the defense team are just going to try to save casey from the death penalty. That is their only hope.

I think you might be right! We may never know of course. Was a coverup conscious and calcuted in detail, or not?

It may be that when G & C could not accept that Caylee was deceased, they created a false reality to allow them to cope and function.

They then would feel justified in altering the real reality to fit in with their false reality to which they clung.

They are really torn at this point because they are dealing with this unfathomable loss and also the impending loss of Casey from the home.

This is not to say I am overflowing with compassion for them. I was in the beginning , but they talked alot of that out of me.

DId the Anthony's lie about the big fight anyway, so as to create the illusion that it did not happen??? That's how I remember it but I am not sure.:blowkiss:

I ask because if the motive for George to lie about when Casey and Caylee left the house, is to take emphasis off that fight....we would need to know about the fight. If we don't know about it, why hide it from us?

ITA my FIL is an ex DC Homicide Detective of 30 years. I cut 12 inches of my hair off and he didn't even notice. A lot of people think b/c GA was ex-LE that he would remember something like that..which he might, but I personally doubt it. JMO.

The A's attorney BC was just on TruTV. When asked about the conflicting statements CA and GA gave between the LE and media interviews he said he was not going to comment because he wanted LE to have to first opportunity to hear the FULL truth from the A's.
