Anthonys Seek Private Jail Visit With Casey

Maybe had Cindy and Jose not fought so hard against the gag order that the State wanted in the beginning of all of this a judge would be more willing to sympathize with the video's to not be released to the public.

Inmates may have civil rights on some things but they are advised that the visitations will be recorded and therefore, under Sunshine Laws, they are public record and I do not want the rights of tens of thousands of people here in Florida to be stepped on for one family.

Had the Anthony family not made this into the media frenzy that it has become in the first place no one would be requesting these recordings. If they would all just SHUT UP, including Jose about EVERY SINGLE THING they plan to do or want maybe the media would not get wind of it??

I wonder if it is possible that the A's had their mouthpiece put this in the media for a smokescreen. We all know it is not going to happen and I am sure BC has already made the A's aware. They may not even want to see her. It does show the family solidarity to the public. For whatever reason, they feel that shoving that in the public's face at every opportunity is important for them.

I also find myself hoping that Uncle Lee's promise was to tell the truth at all costs. If CA did not approve his speech in advance, I am sure he was badgered about the promise on the way home. But I digress...

Have the A's formally made a meeting request or is it all just hype?

I am still so suspicious of those 31 days and the effect of the Kidnapping theme, bailing her out, and how that dampened the reality of the so slim likelihood that Caylee was alive.

It could get worse for the family and if they are going to go the route of kidfinders, they don't need more problems.

How many people out there would have believed without a doubt reports from the grieving GP's after a visit with Casey about her need to 'protect' the family/Caylee so she can't tell us until Caylee's safely home....(when in fact, Cindy had to outright ask her in effort to understand, "Are you protecting us? Are you protecting Caylee?" And, in that order!) The reply: "Let's just leave at that" because the evil LE is listening?
Instead of: There's an evil baby-swiping nanny from He!! loose warn the masses!

How about the report by them that she cried in her bunk all day on Caylee's b-day she was so broken up and missed Caylee so much that's all she could talk about and is her #1 total & complete 'focus'....When we KNOW that's furthest from the truth cuz we heard for ourselves Casey sure was FOCUSED on one person-HERSELF!

They sure weren't going to report honestly, even though we'd seen it with our own eyes they still attempted to sway public opinion--potential juror's.

Without the Sunshine Laws in the state of FLA we'd see only what the A's and their attorney's, including JB wanted us to see and it would be only the sweetest of the pics and videos with a smiling seemingly loving mother and family members telling us LE has it all wrong look, see, hear what I am TELLING you!

But we KNOW CA rarely herself brought Caylee's name up--the family had to do it once she'd commenced with her eerily cheerful happy-go-lucky-hello-how-are-you's even when her mother was bawling her eyes out and COULD have had some bad news about Caylee...... (since her man was out of town on business and she was kept out of the loop that day?)
And yet, she didn't even bother to ASK if there was any news!!??

In this case I fear without the law the public could have easily been deceived, even swayed towards sympathy for a guilty woman and quite possibly justice for Caylee lost.

We don't have all this document dump and videotaped visits - prisoners meet in a prison meeting room and there are guards everywhere.
They are searched on arrival and departure and various other safety measures

But all this other stuff is mind boggling to me and I do not believe it necessarily equates to justice, i think it just muddies the waters

I haven't been able to read this whole thread so maybe some of you awesome posters have said something which would change my mind, but I am HOPING that maybe the A's want to talk to KC in private so they can get her to tell what happened. Maybe they know there is no way in H KC will talk to them if she knows it is being recorded, so they would never get the chance to try to coax the truth out of her. I don't know what to think about anybody in this case anymore.

Truthfully I feel that if Casey were ever going to tell her parents and Lee anything to try and soothe their hurt over losing Caylee, she could have done so in the privacy of her own home when she was out on bail. To hurt them further, I feel she will never tell them what happened. By not helping her family, this leaves Casey with the upper hand as far as she is concerned. JMO

I have felt the very same way about this in the beginning, honestly!

But I just can't equate 'mistruth's' with outright lie after lie after lie.........by the mother of a supposed missing child who sends the police AWAY from anything remotely resembling the truth.

And all the other stuff......

I guess, in this case I too have changed a lot of my thinking.

I am now just jaded!

No exceptions for "the Mother of the Year" or her "rules don't apply to us" family, or the "we need you to change the rules for us" attorneys.

I still pizzed that JB gets to take his laptop in, unlike other attys, and I don't believe for a second that KC isn't using it, watching stuff on it, etc. when he's there with her!

Then this piece of public property paid for by tax payers and open to the public through the wonderful Sunshine laws can be released.

Did the A's mention who should pay for the extra guards, monitors, prisoner moving, extra security needed at every turn, and the utilities and mortgage on the facility so that they can have an unprecedented meeting with their little murderer? Maybe they would like Ruth's Chris to cater their little get together. I also think they may need a full bar and a masseuse. Who wants ice cream?

I reckon they can just keep passing notes through their little postman. I still cannot believe that stunt is legal.

I think she'll have her PEOPLE call their PEOPLE.

I missed this about them vehemently opposing the gag order. What was their reasoning for opposing it? Did they say? I bet JB is really kicking himself now over that bright idea!

I personally believe the family and Casey/her defense team are setting up the appearance of a public "rift" between the family and Casey. Towards what end, I'm not sure -- perhaps to do with Casey's defense or perhaps to do with immunity and the family's own potential defenses. Can't quite figure it out and probably wrong...just a nagging feeling that something along those lines is brewing behind the scenes.

The media has found it hard to sell newspapers and tv ad time when they focus on stories about normal or even good things. The A's have caught the attention of the worldwide media because everything involved has been odd, disturbing, illegal, bizzare, macabre, or just unbelievable. Each day brings a new sordid twist. Every facet is so loaded with disturbing facts. The media sees it as easy ratings and will continue to exploit every minute detail.

Somewhere, lost in all of this is a two year old who paid a pretty heavy price so that NG can get a bigger contract next year, T. Turner can buy more real estate, and the rest of the media moguls can get figuratively fatter financially on a daily basis. I stand by my signature almost daily.

IMO-It's NOT the media's fault that every aspect of this case is twisted, sick, weird and bizzarre! No, the players have made sure that's so. The media's just "reporting the facts". This family has brought about every single ounce of scrutiney that they've received. Place the blame where it really lies! JMHO.

Casey is in the Orange County jail and they tape the visits so not taping them would be construed as "special treatment".

She already is in protective custody and has NO CLUE what it's really like in jail or in prison.

Enough is enough. If the family wants to talk to her they can schedule a visit like normal. Or they can send their coded and non-coded messages to her through her attorney. No special treatment.

Or through the mail, uncensored, or however they've BEEN doing it already, from the sounds of it...

Of course it is. All that the A's are asking is that the video not be released to the public. Other inmates have videotaped visits - I'd be willing to bet that not one of those videos can be found online. The A's aren't asking for anything special or out of the ordinary. Just the opposite, they're asking for the same treatment everyone else gets.

I'm sure if the public wanted to see them they could ask. There is just no interest with other prisoners.
