Anthonys Seek Private Jail Visit With Casey

That bugs me so much. It is so wrong. These people have such an astounding sense of entitlement and I think that jail is really wrong for catering to them - allowing Baez to pass notes - KC said this during the August interview that was recently released. Wrong, just plain wrong. What in the world is going on with the jail?

Me too. I'm really tweaked by that. Why has this been allowed to happen? WHY?

I'm confused now. Do they just not want the video released? If so, this means they still have to see each other the standard way, via video, correct?

OR are the As asking for a face-to-face meeting?

The trial needs to start real soon. I can not see why it needs to take very long.

After sentencing, the A's can vistit KC in prison, assuming that is the norm.

Of course it is. All that the A's are asking is that the video not be released to the public. Other inmates have videotaped visits - I'd be willing to bet that not one of those videos can be found online. The A's aren't asking for anything special or out of the ordinary. Just the opposite, they're asking for the same treatment everyone else gets.

I believe that under the sunshine law, the media could request and obtain any other inmate´s video if they so choose.

Of course it is. All that the A's are asking is that the video not be released to the public. Other inmates have videotaped visits - I'd be willing to bet that not one of those videos can be found online. The A's aren't asking for anything special or out of the ordinary. Just the opposite, they're asking for the same treatment everyone else gets.

In Florida, IF the media requested ANYBODY'S prison videotapes which were part of DISCOVERY, that anybody would be news just like Casey.

Besides media attention, Casey's infamy earned her a world-renowned defense team. Sometimes you gotta take the lumps with your sugar.

Now that I have a problem with. I don't believe Baez should be allowed to bring his computer in for private sessions with Casey if he has wireless internet access and he certainly should not be able to pass notes for her.

For the family to meet with her and not have it broadcast all over the media for our entertainment - that's a reasonable request, IMO.

I just have to laugh. Can you imagine a totally private meeting and the A's emerging with: Hey, she confessed... wheee!

Not all attorneys would do it, carry notes, abusing the fact that A/C privilege is inviolate.

I wonder how long it takes the Sunshine Law to *work*. It took a long time to see those vids from, was it August? We just saw them last month. So maybe they won't be available for months -- as they wend their way through the system? I don't know, it's just that BC keeps making it sound like we'll see them the next day and so far that definitely hasn't happened in this case.

But that is just it, no one so chooses anyone else. because they are not TMZ worthy. No one wants to see regualr Joe convos.
IMO, the media is creating a TMZ atmosphere and I think that will be used to her advantage in the future. I really do.

Sadly, Caylee's status has been reduced far lower than that, almost from the beginning. It's been nothing more than entertainment dollars and ratings, imo.

If anything of note occurs in that meeting and it is taped, LE would probably bar its release anyway. There are a few tapes that are still being held back, I think. If it's just a chit chat session then big deal. If overexposure was going to damage this case the horse has already left the barn.

Sounds like LE has some discretion in releasing these tapes. if that is the case then it would seem that there is no special treatment being requested, just asking to take advantage of something already in place.

I don;t see anything in the article that suggests they are asking for anything except LE to exercise discretion in releasing the video of the visit.
