34-year-old Antonio Agustin-Ailon was indicted Thursday on six felony counts including rape, gross sexual imposition, and interfering with custody. All six charges related to a 12-year-old reported missing out of Gainesville, Georgian on May 30th.

Jail records detail charges against man arrested for taking missing Hall County girl to Ohio

The man accused of taking a missing Hall County girl to Ohio has been charged with multiple counts of rape, according to court records in Ohio.

Agustin-Ailon has been charged with two counts of rape, two counts of pandering obscenity, gross sexual imposition and interference with custody.

Under Ohio law, pandering obscenity involves creating, reproducing or publishing ”any obscene material that has a minor or impaired person as one of its participants or portrayed observers.”

Agustin-Ailon was first supposed to be extradited to Hall County, but he is now been held in Ohio long-term.

NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ A Dover man officials allege is linked to the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl from Georgia has entered not guilty pleas to the six charges he is facing, including two counts of rape, a first-degree felony and one count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony.

Antonio Agustin-Ailon, 34, was arraigned Friday in the court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Ernest.

“He will not be extradited any time soon,” says Suri Chadha Jimenez, a criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor in Atlanta who is closely following the case. He says Tuscarawas County will complete its case before Agustin-Ailo is returned to face charges in Hall County.

The man accused of taking a 12-year-old Hall County girl to his Ohio home has pleaded not guilty.

Georgia prosecutors say they will move forward with filing relevant charges in Hall County, likely through a Grand Jury presentation, as Tuscarawas County proceeds with its case.

A bond hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 21. He is currently being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail. If he is convicted, he could face life in prison.

NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) The suspect in a child sex abuse case involving a missing Georgia girl is competent to stand trial. Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Ernest handed down the ruling on Tuesday, citing the findings of an independent psychological assessment.

Man accused of kidnapping Hall County girl pleads guilty to crimes against her

The Tuscarawas County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Antonio Agustin Ailon, a Guatemalan native, appeared in court last week where he entered a negotiated guilty plea on two counts of statutory rape, two counts of pandering involving a minor and one count of gross sexual imposition.

On Monday, prosecutors and defense attorneys jointly recommended a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole until he’s served 15 years in prison. The judge accepted that sentence.

The prosecutor’s office says Agustin Ailon will begin serving that sentence in the Ohio prison system.

Guatemalan national sentenced to life in prison for abduction, assault of Gainesville girl

Antonio Agustin-Ailon, a Guatemalan national, entered a plea deal after being indicted for serious charges including rape and interference with custody.

According to the Tuscarawas County District Attorney’s Office in Ohio, he was sentenced on Monday to life in prison with the first 15 years to be served in full.

What we don't know: It remains unclear if he still faces charges in Hall County.

The Hall County District Attorney’s Office told FOX 5 it would be conferring with the sheriff and the victim’s family in the coming days to determine how to proceed in the case.
