There's a new billboard in Grand Rapids that the procession passed. It's navy blue with white lettering: Gerald "Our" Ford.
His family revisited the burial place today before leaving Michigan. Betty looks so frail but what a trouper for 88 years.

Awww. That's so sweet. I hope she makes it. Nancy looked so frail too and seems to be coping better than I expected. But I think they are stronger than we may think plus they know their husbands led long and full lives and are in a better place and they will be reunited one day.

I saw 2 little boys with them in the church, both blonde are they great-grandchildren?

Is Steven the only one that never married? I was suprised to hear that as he did (1) of the soaps for a while.

Those are Jack's sons, Christian and John, so they're Ford's grandchildren. You're right that Steven has never married. He was on Young & the Restless and was 'Joe' on "When Harry Met Sally".

Why is it that we sometimes don't appreciate someone's contribution or special qualities, and their families, until they die?

I've always wondered that.

Ain't that the truth. Good question.
