I am SO confused. Can someone help me out here?
Ms Stubbs said she only sent Seperation papers to NC, and NOT to BC. We know this because she testified to it.
But then why in April did BC and her fight over it if he shouldn't have seen it? That means she told him about the 2100 child support per month and he said forget it you are staying here? He must have seen those papers then, it sounds like she showed him?

I am so confused.

I have been confused about that part as well. I think Nancy must have told him about certain aspects of it and/or he confiscated the info off her computer. I can't remember if there has been actual testimony about his tampering with her computer and just when she found out or suspected he was doing so.
There has been so very much tiny detail in this case that I'm beginning to lose my footing with respect to actual testimony, by whom, when, how, etc.

I wonder if either side of this trial will present evidence, or lack of, indicating the presence of mica, the same composition as fielding drive, in the vehicle.

Hmmmmm --

good point -- let's hope so, but the mica expert is, I'm sure, released from subpoena -- but finding mica in his car would be yet another one of those coinky-dinks.....but BC was good with a car-vac so we may never know...

Oh my gosh, isn't that the truth. He was a nightmare in every respect. I'm sure the prosc. were not only embarrassed but seething as well after he changed his testimony, or omitted much of it.

I have never seen anybody pour and consume ice water with so much gusto! And I LOVED the way he flew outta there after testifying.

And that was kinda where I was going with my question. I would think that would have really aggravated him. Nancy has a high dollar, powerful attorney and he gets a bounced check. And doesn't appear to consult anyone after that. Why not? Brad doesn't strike me as the type to just give up.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask BA he would say the separation was put on hold because NC was waiting to get her Green Card.

  • #705
Yes Nancy would have shown him. In her testimony Ms Stubbs said she asked NC several times if she had given BC the separation agreement to look over.

I thought there was one email either sent to Brad with a CC to AS or an email to AS with a CC to Brad? (Have I mentioned often that I really should take notes?) I thought it had to do with the whole seperation/divorce.

didn't the cheque bounce for the lawyer he consulted regarding separation agreement
He wasn't even supposed to have access to that agreement...it was for Nancy's eyes only since it was a draft

This is not what AS stated in her testimony(Trial day 20, 4/6/11 part 1 of AS testimony on WRAL ~29'30" to 31'). She stated in her 4/21/08 email response to NC that AS asked NC if she had shared the draft with BC. Also in AS's email response to Helena ??? AS stated that she thought that NC may have shared the draft with BC.

So yes, he should not have had a copy without her consent, however it is entirely possible by this email exchange that NC would have shared the the draft with BC. The text of the email seems to be encouraging it.

I do agree he should have a copy without NC's consent.

Maybe I will listen to AS testimony again tomorrow.. if they play the depos again I will have time so there may be nothing knew for us to discuss tomorrow if thats the case.

I dont think Nancy told him at all..IF Brad said she did, then is self-serving..He had her emails copy and pasted to his computer...so knew ALL the details..and IF he did speak to her about it..YOU have to know she would spil that fact to her friends...Maybe she thought he had seen papers in her car..as she already knew she screwed up allowing him into her car..and passport/passports of kids went awol..She actually spoke to her sister about that on the phone..So who knows.???.I really dont believe Nancy said squat to Brad..She likely said..Let the Lawyers deal with it..She was way past done with dealing with Brad..SHE did not trust him at all!! No negotiations, no reasonings..Just plain old yelling matches..

Sorry..got carried away with my thoughts..BUT No Way Jose would she have wasted her time "talking to Brad" about such things..IMO:twocents:

He probably drained part of his 401K and stock options to pay the family law fee.

Didn't he also say in the depo that he put $15,000 on his credit cards for his attorneys.

Well I guess we can assume that he saw the draft because that's when things really took a turn for the worse when he knew the $$ involved with supporting them if she left. I was curious if she gave him the copy or he told her he saw it already and took it out of her car and then that caused the fight, or he admitted he saw her email.. but it sounds like maybe she showed it to him. For a smart guy he was pretty stupid, he needed to negotiate, just like AS said thats the 1st draft.. so disturbing he freaked out like that and couldn't get a grip and just get an attorney to help him hash it out better.

I have never head about a check bounce. NC's lawyer last week on the stand said Rosen was never representing him and that she exchanged emails with people there and they said they were not representing him. She said she believed he never hired anyone because she never heard from an attorney representing him.

Yes he attempted to retain Rosen's firm. we discussed this back in '08, and BC discussed it in his vid dep. $7,000. BC claimed it was an 'old' credit card check.

Kinda confused about that, because they take plastic.

Sandlin, I believe, was the firm representing him in the custody action.

Well that's confusing becuase AS said he had no attorneys for divorce. Unless he meant for his custody case and not the divorce. He must mean current attorneys for custody case.

I think he said he spread $45,000 over 3 cards. $15,000 each.

Wonder if Detective Daniels will provide more detail of the "red marks or scratches" he saw on the back of Brad's neck on 7-12-08? He said in the SW he could not determine the cause and Brad did not provide an explanation. I still can't believe they did not photograph them or get a court order to do so if he refused.

Talk about another missed opportunity for a slam dunk. Blood was found under Nancy's nails but the DNA was so degraded they could not get a good sample. Lucky Brad.

That's what I meant - $15,000 on his credit cards for the attorneys handling the custody case with the Rentz.

IIRC, towards the end of the deposition he talks about charging a bunch of this on credit cards. I'm sure he'll blame the new debt on nancy once again. Had she not gone & gotten herself murdered he wouldn't have had to hire that PI and criminal team, etc. She's always running up his bills....:maddening:

with a 3 hour opening statement THERE is NO way the defense is calling any witnesses ...hope there is a time limit on closing

And the bandaid on his finger. Just another "coincidence".

Not sure what you mean.. Do you mean because of the smoke and mirrors and false accusations for 3 hours that they now have nothing else to say and no real witnesses to defend their accusations they will just be done and do a closing statement?

I don't think BC wanted to pay an attorney for the separation. If his "old" check bounced, then why didn't he follow up with them with a "new" check - or present his credit card to them. I honestly think he thought he could have his way over the separation with NC just like with everything else. His initial thought was take the kids and go back to Canada and I don't care to see either of the three of you again. Did he believe NC would leave and just let him go his way and he not be responsible for anything for the girls ever again? But then he sees the sep. agmt. and found out WOW, this is a lot of money to pay out for the next - well, you might as well say 20 years - and he didn't even have the funds for an attorney to fight this. I think he felt the only way out for him was to kill Nan and then he'd pawn his kids off on his parents and live his womanizing life, working, and training and building his "Adventures of Brad Cooper" portfolio.
