Just on KARK... her credit card may have been used between 3 and 4 am at a downtown LR gas station. Police have requested video.

I hope they catch the piece of shiznick that committed this crime!

how was she dressed? anyone know? was she still in her night clothes or was she wearing her work clothes. Mom called 911 at 4:30 and she was suppose to be at the station at 5 am. I am still leaning to it being someone she knows.

Yes, within an hour of when she was found by her mother. Could have happened just before that or earlier...but the cc was used 3-4 a.m. on Monday and she was found at 4:30 a.m. on Monday. The gas station it was used at could be reached from her home in under 10 minutes...maybe 5.

I do know from a good source that they did indeed go to the gas station and get the video. So that is true. I hope they got a good picture of the perp.

There are a couple all night gas stations in our area. Most only have one person working and they're busy stocking, pulling things from inventory to re-stock the shelves, mopping floors. Since you don't have to go into the building when using a credit card at the pump, good chances the worker isn't going to notice the details from a distance.

I am curious as to the kind of clothing she was wearing when her Mom found her in bed? It would help narrow down the time frame. Was she still dressed from the party, did she have a nitie on? Of course if she was naked, LE won't be releasing that ifo so fast.

This makes me think it was someone she didn't know personally. Don't you think her friends and peers would know better-particularily considering the field she's in, to not do something as stupid as using her credit card and leaving a trail.

This is from our local newspaper online - discusses the credit card use - says it was at the Shell gas station. Also mentions searching her house and searching the Fair Park and I-630 area...

For those who don't live around here... all I can think of off the top of my head that is at the Fair Park and I-630 intersection is a LaQuinta motel and a gas station. The other side of the interstate has a decent sized park and our local zoo.

That's about it. Some vacant boarded up houses. I take that exit every day to go to work. Lots of people walk around there, maybe something was tossed and found?

Local newspaper today. Possible blood found in garbage can in MacArthur Park - this is near the gas station downtown. For those who aren't subscribers - it continues to say that even if what they found turns out to be blood, nothing so far links it to this case. No motive so far. A number of other areas searched around the city unsuccessfully. Discusses having the local tv station having the news story about credit card pulled down. She made a post to her Facebook page at 9:51pm saying she hoped to catch up soon with some friends. Family thankful for prayers, wants privacy.

Apparently if it is open, you can pay at the pump. We dont have any that are open when the store is closed here, It's either open all the way or not..
Depends on the record they have, if he pumped gas, they know the time of that transaction, If he purchased items in the store or gas, it could be batch process of the credit card. If they have video they will be able to reconcile the two. They can get the actual "swipe" time, it just takes a subpoena and a little longer from the bank.

In my area some gas stations let you pump, using a credit card, even when they are closed.

It sounds like they are working diligently and hopefully answers are coming soon as to what happened. I wish we knew if she had memory of the attack and is helping to ID the person who did this.

While I still think it is more likely it is someone she was familiar with, the use of her card would indicate it wasn't. If they did find blood on things in a trash can in the park...it would also point to it being a stranger, imo. Maybe this is why LE believes it to be random and they could be right.

I hope she is doing much better today. Her family said in their statement that they expect a full recovery, but a long one. Bless her heart.
