Think I can post this court document since CL is a suspect. This is the one with record of the methamphetamine statement by the daughter. 5-F.

ETA this was posted a month ago also but it looks like this was drafted by CL's Ex husband's attorney for the emergency custody plea in which case, this could just be their version of the story and possibly exaggerated to support the case for custody? So confusing!

I think that has to be it too. Maybe one thing to the father, one to the aunt and then a denial to the court I guess. Has to be so much pressure on her in any case to k ow what to say to whom....

I can't find the link right now but early on in the investigation, wasn't it mentioned is MSM (per a newspaper article, etc) that a neighbor of AL's/CL's had commented about him having significant amount of weight loss recently, recently shaving his head and having scratches on him? (Note, this is all ad lib as I can't locate the article right now) But my point being, the recent weight loss could be contributed to meth drug use/abuse. And also some comment by same neighbor about seeing him washing his car and called and left her a message when he was stuck in the mud? Am I recalling this correctly?

Just a random thought. He may have placed a call to BC's husband ...along the lines of the call he placed to TL/KL (CLs ex) where he tried to extort the $5000 for the prostitution story.

He might have thought he could procure some compromising photos of BC (under threat) at the empty house, maybe even with him in them...., to send to CC and ask for $$$ in exchange. And that plan was foiled somehow. I'm going out on a limb here but just re-reading the doc about the call he had made to TL/KL.... It seems his "style" of operating and up his alley of comfort. And add to that the way he was shooting the video of that blonde woman he had in the hotel that day with all the sexual overtones... He seemed to really get off on that. Add in his own shirtless come hither photos as his avatar. ....

Could that have been his (lame) attempt to alter his identity in case any neighbors had spotted him at the scene at the house- they wouldn't be looking for a bald guy/ shaved head guy? Weak, I know, but he doesn't seem to be terribly creative.

I think he says, "Now they're showing pictures of this." I have always thought that meant the cops had pictures of some evidence. The pictures that LE takes when they find a body, crime scene photos. He's claiming he hasn't seen her in two days and "now they are showing pictures of this."

What he said:
"They want pic-- he's got texts back and forth of me and him, and theN they wanted my phone--". And he was interrupted by the reporter "Why Beverly?".

Watching this again, i noticed he did a few telltale body language lying moves in those first two lines about Trevor that I'd missed before - and based on that I would say LE is spot on with that one, the Trevor thing looks like a straight up lie. But yep, he did say They want pic-- and stopped himself to go to the Trevor texts. Good catch!

That's pretty interesting ...because what he's saying there in that short clip, besides what he says they've already got ("texts back and forth") ...is what they WANTED: They want pics and they wanted his phone. I think he slipped when he said that.

Good thought, concernedmother. It gave me a couple thoughts; Maybe he shaved it before he kidnapped her or maybe he shaved it after - whichever one it may be, was possibly to disguise himself in case somebody could give a description of who they saw at the house Beverly was showing him. Or if the original plan was to kidnap her for ransom (before he/they actually killed her) maybe so Beverly's description of him wouldn't match. And on that note, there was mention of the gray pickup and (ad lib here) tall person with a beard, wasn't there? Maybe he had a fake beard on too? And/or, I'm guessing being a 7-time convicted felon (which the was proud of, makes me sick) he more than likely had random drug testing and shaving his head may have been to avoid positive hair follicle drug testing as well. Thoughts anyone?
As an added note, CL would know all about the hair follicle drug testing now wouldn't she?!

The clip concernedmother was talking about isn't that one but the one just before that. At @30 secs in. He says "They want pic...he's got texts back and forth of me and him--" etc. It's fairly clear, give a listen. Later on he mentions that they were showing him pics in a different segment.

Another theory is that they found AL's fingerprints at the vacant house or on BC's vehicle. AL's prints would show up in the system since he is has a record, and that could be why he became a suspect so quickly. I also applaud the Arkansas LE for such a speedy apprehension. I see so many of these cases where LE flubs, but this case seems to have everyone carefully following procedure - and working quickly in those first few days. Hats off to the "men in blue"!

FYI: if you use Google voice or text free or one of those apps you can make calls/texts from your phone that will show up as a different number on the other persons caller ID but will still ping from your phone. Anyone who uses dating /hook up websites like POF or craigslist knows this.... You always use a fake number.

Don't ask me how I know this.... I plead the 5th.

LOL after following the Anthony and Zimmerman trials, and seeing just a few of the gadgets they can use to get info from phones it does not surprise me one bit what info they had or have gotten from the electronics in this case. OR How fast they got it.
