I wasn't aware that AL had committed some of his former crimes with his ex-wife. But I may have missed it from an earlier post. This is regarding a theft from Feb 2011... That's interesting.

The second arrest is what I wondered. So at that point the father already had his daughter with him. But wow, finding out on the news is bad.

I don't blame the LEO, not alerting ex on the second arrest. As you said the ex already had the dtr with him so she was safe, so they didn't owe the ex any heads up on something like that. Never know, he could have tipped CL off. Situations like that, less people who know the better. Just my honest opinion.

Wow I didn't know that either. I had hoped she was a better person than that. I wonder if she is the nurse, the one he kept hurting himself in prison for so that he would go to the hospital where she worked. I don't know how many times he has been married but that wife that was a nurse took out a restraining order I think.

It also says he tried to get visitation in April 2014 and was denied. That would have been shortly after he and CL married.

From the paper: Court documents also show a custody battle between Lewis and his ex-wife. In the documents released in April, a local judge denied Lewis visitation with his infant son, saying he did not pay child support as ordered by the court and had not seen his son since he turned one month old.

He should have paid his back child support out of that money he got. I am sure by April it was all gone.

*note* these are from BENTON COUNTY- which is where Rogers AR is located. *there is also a town BENTON but it is Saline county. These charges are where AL was in prison and was released from in 2013.

Makes me wonder why AL when released from the Grimes Unit in Newport, why he came to the Central Arkansas area. Someone he met in prison? I remb before AL was captured, reading on the FH page someone alluding to a girl who he had a child with in .(which is abt 32 miles due south of Little Rock).

He says they have texts back and forth with him and Trevor and maybe he says they want a picture of Trevor.

I think his 'co-defendant' was CL all along but he was interchanging Trevor's name with Crystal to initially protect her. Thus, those 'texts' and maybe even 'pics' that AL referenced were between him and Crystal; that's why LE were suspecting of her early on. I think they got what they needed from her phone and when the DNA came back as hers, it was a bingo. So anytime AL speaks of Trevor, think "Crystal" and he is dumb enough to tell us what he doesn't want us to know.

The clip concernedmother was talking about isn't that one but the one just before that. At @30 secs in. He says "They want pic...he's got texts back and forth of me and him--" etc. It's fairly clear, give a listen. Later on he mentions that they were showing him pics in a different segment.

Interchange that with the real 'co-defendant': 'They want pic...she's got texts back and forth of me and her (Crystal)...'

When you look at your phone bill (mine is Verizon) it shows the numbers that are texted back and forth. It also shows where pics or media have been texted back and forth. I assume LE would have to access the actual texts and images via court order, so AL's comment about them wanting pics may refer to LE knowing there were pics taken but at that time they didn't have them and wanted AL to provide them. A slip-up of AL when he said this, IMO. Does this make sense?

"supposedly" they got married because AL has a small child from a previous relationship and he wanted to try and establish visitation with that child.... Family courts greatly frown upon cohabitation. After they legally got married it doesn't appear that he ever pursued getting visitation established. However, this could have been a line of bs that AL used to pressure crystal into marriage, or this could have been a line of bs that crystal gave to her ex..... All I can say is that's what I heard.

Butler, do you know how long after CL was arrested for kidnapping and murder her ex found out? Did he know before it was on the news? Since he has custody of both children I would think someone would notify them, but I have no idea how all that works with arrests as I have not been on either side of one.

From what I have been told by the friend that talks to CL the most, not even CL's attorney knew she was being arrested. He found out in the news. She opened her door and they took her down in her PJ's she had on. They wouldn't even let her change clothes or put on a bra.

The morning that she was arrested the first time for possession of the phone... A detective called the ex that morning around 9ish and told him he needed to make arrangements to get his daughter because "crystal will be in custody by the end of the day" he did not say what the charge was. If you remember the parents had already spoken Sunday night and decided for the daughter to go to dads house for a week or so until the drama died down. So the ex (who was at work) called his current wife and told her what the detective said. The current wife was scheduled to work that and had already planned to meet crystal at the "child exchange spot" later that afternoon. After hearing this message from the detective she called sick into work and called crystal and arranged to meet earlier in the day. (side note it was very typical for the step mom to make the child drop off and pick up arrangements) step mom then called the detective and informed him that they planned to meet in X-town, Oklahoma at 2:00 that day to exchange the daughter. (she did NOT call the detective to inform him of the child transport plan in order to get some upper hand in the custody dispute as NJ has previously stated... It was in response to him calling and telling dad to come get his daughter) crystal was arrested approximately 15 minutes after this phone call... I'm assuming that is because they didn't want her to leave the state. Shortly after she was arrested that Monday morning the detective called step mom back and informed her of Crystal's arrest and that they needed to make alternative plans to get the daughter. At this point the daughter is just sitting in a police station and dad and step mom are 7 hours away... Which is why dad had a family member who lives closer to little Rock go and get the daughter. No one knew what charges she was arrested for until the family member showed up to get the daughter and asked the detective.

As for when she was arrested for kidnapping and capital murder.... CLs oldest daughter (the one that is grown) called crystals ex-husband's and told him the day it happened .... She had seen it on the news. So, no.... No one notified this side of the family of her arrest. We found out about it on the news.

Watching this again, i noticed he did a few telltale body language lying moves in those first two lines about Trevor that I'd missed before - and based on that I would say LE is spot on with that one, the Trevor thing looks like a straight up lie. But yep, he did say They want pic-- and stopped himself to go to the Trevor texts. Good catch!

That's pretty interesting ...because what he's saying there in that short clip, besides what he says they've already got ("texts back and forth") ...is what they WANTED: They want pics and they wanted his phone. I think he slipped when he said that.

It was my understanding from CL that she freely gave them her phone and password but that AL refused his password and that they were having to have the phone broke into some way. They were trying to get the password to it from CL.

That is what I heard too. This was after they found her body.

The interview with AL was after her body was found. (Correct if wrong) LE who found the body could have sent pics back to LE questioning AL. Maybe they showed him those pics and that's what he's talking about in the interview.

Butler that is what CL told all of her friends that the step mom had her arrested the first time.

Typical crystal behavior : "its not my fault I got arrested for having a missing /dead woman's phone in my house. It's someone else's fault.... Therefore I am a victim and you should feel sorry for me and help me"

I'm not trying to beat you up here.... Just want you to realize how manipulative she is.

I don't think he tried to contact her. She acted normal to me, but very upset about AL's involvement. Confused about AL's involvement and getting her info from the news like everyone else.

Continuing in this line of thinking...what is your feeling about her and the Halloween pics considering that her husband was in jail for murder and as you stated yesterday something like, the cops said they were going to get her too? Those pictures, knife to the throat, while normally would just all be for fun, but to be married to a man who was in jail at the time for murder it's just really not classy what she did, IMO. Was she just trying to act normal??

Just a random thought. He may have placed a call to BC's husband ...along the lines of the call he placed to TL/KL (CLs ex) where he tried to extort the $5000 for the prostitution story.

He might have thought he could procure some compromising photos of BC (under threat) at the empty house, maybe even with him in them...., to send to CC and ask for $$$ in exchange. And that plan was foiled somehow. I'm going out on a limb here but just re-reading the doc about the call he had made to TL/KL.... It seems his "style" of operating and up his alley of comfort. And add to that the way he was shooting the video of that blonde woman he had in the hotel that day with all the sexual overtones... He seemed to really get off on that. Add in his own shirtless come hither photos as his avatar. ....

I don't think any of us have the capacity to know how or what someone like AL may have been thinking. JMO. I'm not condemning anyone's insight, just noting that he is off in the head.

I don't know if AL was under the influence of drugs or not... But rapid weight loss and shaving his head could also be a sign of a severe manic episode.

That being said manic mental state plus drug use in someone who has already established a history or criminal behavior is a recipe for disaster.
