One more post I am having trouble locating-someone indicated early on that Brandon had taken Cassie to the Dr on a Thursday before she went missing. Took her via bicycle? Did they walk? Because he didnt drive legally, right?

Unfortunately, the only named suspects are the two adults in the home with Cassie. Ugh. Of course, there may be unnamed ones.

There has been alot of discussion on this thread concerning Casscoe and ping records driving that search. I have never gotten this straight in my mind as to who said there were pings driving the search in this area? And there was also some discussion regarding a search for disarticulated remains (poor baby)...I would like to know who the source was for that info too. I think it was the same search or maybe two separate ones?

ETA: Did someone say that the Casscoe ping/pings were from Brandon's phone? If so, I wonder if he was making the call to TS?

Beleive09, I think it was one of our three new local verifieds who participated in searching. It is back a ways and stated before verification was achieved if I remember right.

Yes, yes. It was wrong on so many levels. (The wee bit of Puritan in me rears its ugly head.) But I must agree with you...

If she had been seeing him for a good while, and her daughter reacted well with him and told her mom that she liked him, etc. , and mom sensed no agenda, etc., on his part, well maybe so. But no one should be more important than your own child, NO ONE.

Maybe she was feeling things closing in -- rent, food, electricity, etc., etc. Dunno. Maybe she just wanted to feel good about something again. How much do we really know about their situation? She may have felt that she had to do something, and she may have seen this guy as a way to do a little better for her daughter and herself. Desperate times.... and all that.

If her father had worked and paid into Social Security, and then died, SSA would be paying monthly benefits for her. The money for that is pretty good -- several hundred a month. Dunno about that, either. I'm still behind in this thread -- don't know anything about the family at all... so forgive if I have misunderstood (!)

We can restart that discussion around the pings if it was removed before they were verified. It is really important stuff and I appreciate it being shared. The doctor's visit -was it for the cough that was referenced in the txt conversation related in Letter to the Editor? Was it for the antidepressants referenced by JC in her latest interview?

I also think the family's finances are worth sorting out-SS, perhaps SSI, perhaps SSDI for both JC and Cassie, perhaps SSA or SSDI for BR? Yikes, what a mess.

When I participated in the volunteer search in October we met in the parking lot of Ponder's Auction (on Leslie Street between 15th and 16th). We began our searches around the railroad tracks about 200 feet east and the woods that bordered those tracks behind RW Manufacturing (1506 S Wood Street). We were told that there was a good chance that if anything was done without using transportation that she would be in that area. We were also cautioned against the possibility of finding body parts and told to look for such evidence. (I hope I can say that here. We heard that several times from the man leading the search that is a regular at SAR.)

She was reported missing that Sunday night and officers came to her house the next morning to make a report. The only time that seems to be unaccounted for that evening was between approximately 6pm (when Hunter Snyder supposedly dropped her home) and 9:14pm (when Brandon called Tracey Snyder to ask if she was still with them). Then there was the text message at 7:15 (I think but may be wrong) that she may or may not have sent herself. However, she was first thought of as a runaway so I am not sure when the house or property was first searched and the time gap between.

Yes, the October 11 search which was volunteer only. I put in an earlier post that I searched early October because I couldn't recall the exact date. I'm sorry if this confused anyone. I could not attend the LE-organized search because I could not find a sitter. I really do not know too much about the first search.

I do not know of any media information or verified sources mentioning the cell phone pings (I could be wrong), I think this is information that LE is keeping quiet. I do know that the SAR leader for the volunteer search on October 11 confirmed pings in the Casscoe area, thus the foot searches the week before.

Hi all. I just got registered after finding this thread through someone on another page. I live in Stuttgart, the town where Cassie is missing from. It seems like there are not any locals on here so I'm hoping I can answer any questions and clarify any issues, or what I can at least. I participated in the second search that was volunteer only, and actively searched for around 8 hours that day. Here are some things that I wanted to clarify after reading through the entire thread over the past few days:

1 - The closest gas station to her (and the one she would most likely walk to) would be the Shell on the corner of Main Street and 22nd Street. It is open 24 hours and is one of the busiest in town. I honestly do not know if they would sell to a minor. It is a small town and I'm sure that minors are occasionally sold to, but I'm 30 and I've even had to show my license at Shell. There is a Family Dollar within 4 blocks of her that sells cigarettes, they have a much smaller stock and selection though and stop selling at a certain time.



7 - There were some rumors going around that Brandon was Cassie's boyfriend before her mother's... strangely with the age difference it makes more sense. I asked Judy and she said that was definitely not true. Brandon isn't necessarily someone a teenage girl would lust after, he doesn't have much going for him. I'm going to agree with most of you on here and say that Judy should have had much better judgement in that situation.

I covered quite a bit, but I know there are things I missed. I will try to keep up on here and see if I am helpful with anything else.

Respectfully snipped. This addresses some of the rumor about Cassie's potential relationship with BR beyond possible step father. I also found verification from our insiders that Cassie's bio dad is a RSO.

I was not able to participate in the first search led by LE. Although I do know that they searched around the airport and in the Casscoe area (because of the pings). The search that I took part in at the beginning of October was led by someone local who has led and been involved in other rescue/recovery searches, but there was an investigative member of LE there in case any evidence was found throughout the day. We were told at that time that the search was for recovery. Unfortunately, I don't know any more about Klass Kids being in town than anyone else. Judy had told me the day of the search that she had called and talked to them and they told her they would have to talk to local LE about the case and get permission to be involved in the investigation. I am guessing that the situation progressed and they are in town for Cassie. Yes, Judy does have a vehicle. Brandon does not have a license but was known to take Judy's car every once in a while, especially while she was asleep.

I am with you on the immaturity thing, tlcya. The whole bike riding, story telling stuff seems to give an over all picture of incredible lack of maturity. Now, in JC's recent media she indicates that he was controlling. This interests me because she was/is substantially more mature in age then he is.

One does what she must, to hang onto her man, sometimes, IMO. Let him be the boss -- she has been it for a while, I would guess, and he is the man, ya know. She must have been in a deep, deep well to watch/let all this (his control, that is) take place in her house. Controllers like to be in charge (duh) and not questioned or challenged. They can be very dangerous. SMH. We've seen many, many of them, and we know them here on WS. Scary. Grrrrrr.

I'm trying to do some general searching on the area of Stuttgart, it is much larger than I expected. It's been mentioned that it's a small town but the population is over 9,000. That's hardly an everybody knows everybody sized town. The land area of Stuttgart alone is over 6 square miles.

Are there any vacant houses in the block that Cassie lived on or the two blocks north of there? There is an alley that runs through Cassie's block and the blocks north. If I were to try to move around undetected at night w/o a vehicle, I'd opt for alleys instead of streets w/o possible street lights.
