I put these two together because this gave me an AHA moment. What caused her to think there were issues at home, if Cassie never said anything? TS either thought Cassie was having issues, or she didn't. TS would be smart to bring this case to the surface and fight for answers. JC would be as smart. They'd both be brilliant if they worked together.

IIRC it was simply the town rumor mill. Others can correct me if there was more info but that's how I recall this being explained a few threads ago. So much "if, ands, maybes" is anyone in Stuttgart going to step up and speak out for Cassie with something useful! I'm sorry but the only ones doing so are either online or barely know her!

BR is considered "controlling" as stated by JC. Most of what was stated her by VIs seems more like he's an exaggerating story teller. I haven't gotten that from interviews imo tbh.

I do believe that everyone knows a lot more than we're hearing about-question is have they told SPD, ARSO or FBI? (I doubt it)

As for the secret, there's a post from myself back a thread or 2 from when I called LE myself regarding this & people having Cassie's FB password.

IMVHO, if you take the liking of the FB page, the bible inscription (which is clearly more than one person's handwriting) and the discussion of secrets/safe havens, it adds up to an attempt to persuade people that Cassie is voluntarily missing. Adding JC's comments about her running away and possibly being bi polar....well then it rises to the level of victim blaming. Or not.

That is how I take it-hey she is an unstable, cigarette smoking runaway so she is probably just on a rebellion bender....

Well, clearly too much time has passed to make any of that likely and the next best thing (maybe) is to find out who the source of all of this innuendo and rumor is.

I dont think she qualified for either alert, to be frank, but I do believe she deserves a status change to endangered missing and it probably should have been endangered missing from the start. I have no idea if they meant stranger abduction or perhaps they believe she never made it out of the house under her own steam there fore she wasnt kidnapped. So many nuances.

It says something that there is federal involvement in this case and it shouldnt slide to far from our minds. Something is up with that.

And what exactly have they done to move this along? Just some good ol boys sleuthing an internal sheriff dept. fire and enjoying a gravy job, if you ask me. They aren't doing SQUAT for Cassie's case, or we'd see cadaver dog searches and statements to the media by now.

I think it is important to consider why they are on seen at all. Its not like they arent busy in that area-Little Rock alone is no picnic. ASP and the FBI are involved in the disappearance of a 15 year old that her own town doesnt care about-why are the feds involved? Does it say something about the local LE, for example, or does it say something about the nature of her disappearance? The FBI really dont make statements and we dont know if they have been out searching. I remember similar complaints on the Holly Bobo case, but the searches with dogs were constant. They just do it under the radar. I bet you have a whole lot of strangers with guns and dogs right now in the woods-whose to say who is who? The FBI isnt going to make statements to the media unless they are targeted and for a purpose. Just my :twocents:

I've been away for a bit. I wanted to say that Cassie is still in my thoughts daily. I'm not giving up hope that someone, some where will come forward and say something - even if it's Cassie herself. I hope everyone had happy holidays and will continue keep Cassie's name out there.

In looking at the FAQ on FBI, can anyone tell me why the FBI became involved in this case? I am glad that they apparently are. But confused as to what drew them into this case and involvement in same. Thanks.

I am going back to the beginning. I trust nothing at this point, even the little that we think we know as fact. It chaps my that very few seem at all concerned about this missing child and I am hoping to discern how the FBI became involved and why in case that information contains clues to where Cassie may be or what officials or investigators believe may have happened to cause her absence.

They announce when they back out of an investigation. I would say for sure there is an aspect of this case that drew the involvement of ASP and the FBI. Obviously, they have more resources at their disposal than SPD. But, if that is the reason why would there be a belief that a whole lot of resources were needed into the case of a 15 year old "runaway?" So I dont think it was a resource issue. It may bring us back to the initial threads on Cassies case where there was some work around whether or not she was trafficked because that would draw ASP and FBI for sure. It could be a no confidence or objectivity issue with SPD. It could be something more high profile like drugs, child or militia activity in the area.

I think the key is the fed and state police involvement. I think that a clue there would absolutely give a clear idea on what Cassie's disappearance is related to. Because for sure, imo, it is the reason they took over this case.

On a different but possibly related note, do any of you remember when the FBI did a sex trafficking sting prior to the Super Bowl in NJ? It is very common to find that sex workers are trafficked into an area prior to major events like the super bowl. There is a high likelihood that there will be children trafficked in. That got me thinking about all of the activities surrounding the festivals in Stuttgart that draw such massive crowds Thanksgiving week. Given the proximity to the casinos and Little Rock, I wonder what the chances are that there is a sex trafficking corridor there? Clearly, it would make zero sense to keep Cassie in the area if she was grabbed to be trafficked. My point is that if there is a corridor there, she could have been easily transported somewhere else.
