Interesting to note... JC recently stated she hung Cassie's flyers up in DeWitt. Was that before or after BR got out of jail.?

Well, JC for sure didn't see her, and even said she didn't "hear" her. In a combination of media accounts, she basically said she spoke to her through the door (sick in bed and Cassie did not reply), and Cassie left while 'they' were not in the room.

BR did not ever say he saw her. If he did, I missed it.

All I ever read was that Cassie was dropped off by HS, who TS says HS said BR was standing outside but the two did not speak to each other. BR has not agreed to that, that I know of.

If someone other than Cassie dropped her stuff in the house and left "like a whisper in the wind", it is possible that she never came home.

In turn, it's possible that she is hiding out somewhere, and perfectly safe. Or not.

I think you can say that since others here already have. He got out Jan 28 I think. The hanging of posters date would be in a post here, or JCs facebook page. I personally never researched it.

What challenges me is that JC/BR, two identified suspects (a very specific word choice by LE), say that her overnight bag and purse etc were found at home. Then again, we have that pesky ever changing description of Cassie. And the lack of information regarding key items that she was allegedly wearing or carrying.

So what information should we take as rock solid? We have a police report from made by one of the suspects but it surely seems to refute other claims, like that BR pedaled on his bike to file a report on the night of 9/14 and that TS filed a report on the morning of 9/15. Maybe we should just assume those things didnt happen.

We have done better with what we can see on our own in pictures, imvho. So there must be photos of her at the Derby in DeWitt on Saturday or Sunday. I wish one of those would have been released. Surely HS and crew did the typical selfie thing while there.

I mean, really? Maybe, hopefully, she was doing a little in your face and not meeting in a clandestine fashion. I would hate to think that all of this enforced distance between these two suspects is just posturing.

I personally think this is ridiculous that we can count on less than one full hand how many times JC has been out putting up fliers & posting about it. I worked a case with a mother of a GROWN man, in his 30s. The entire family was hanging fliers and handing them out anywhere you could think of. Didn't matter if it was thought he could be there or not. There were people in those places that could know something. At least 2 family members were out DAILY with fliers. Always in pairs for safety & in the event something happened that needed witnessing. They also made sure to replenish what was up that needed to be refreshed. Mom also set up places- businesses or friends house or she would even deliver if people would offer to help. She was not FB savy but she learned. Even when terrible things were said about her son, what type of a parent she was & questions about her as a person, she kept putting one foot in front of the other. She even came out on the media & said that YES her son was dealing with addiction, YES she made mistakes as a parent, YES her son made bad decisions but did that mean that he deserved to go missing and be forgotten? NO and she would do whatever necessary to find him. I know not every person has the strength to admit when you have been wrong or made mistakes and own it. But for goodness sakes- Cassie is 1/2 this mans age and what is JC really doing? I'm sorry but I can't say she is doing much of anything other than posting prayers. While that may be nice and all for the church community and may help her sleep at night- it will NOT help find Cassie. Cassie needs awareness! Yes I know that JC is only one person but she has has others in town that could help her- what are they doing??????

Here is a question- How many organizations did we have come forward saying that they could help Cassie's case? Klaas Kids, TES & another correct? Forgive me, I forget their name. Were there any others? THREE MISSING PERSONS Organizations show up & now are no where to be seen or heard from? Why is that? Why is it that there is nobody willing to stand on their own 2 feet and scream for this girl except for a group of WSers & a few local Mothers pleading through FB? Something is missing here....

We have this list from previous threads- what answers do we have & what is still outstanding? Can we eliminate some of them & are there more questions now that we have had more time to think about them?

1) Clothing size, boot size & description including brand
2) Phone description including model number
3) Who was really outside when Cassie came home- JC, BR, friends?
4) Which of JC’s recollections of that night are correct- Did she see Cassie, did she talk to Cassie, was she sleeping? Was it 8pm or 8am that she started texting Cassie?
5) It has been stated that Cassie was quiet on the ride back from the derby and possibly prior. Can we get more detail on this? Was it not like Cassie to be quiet?
6) What was the order of events for BR in regards to calls to TS & LE along with visits to LE the night Cassie went missing
7) What time was the Missing persons report made & by whom? Now that we have seen the MPR- do we think there is another one? The one we have is AM 9/15 by JC.
8) Why did BR ride his bike to the station rather than call for an officer?
9) How much money did Cassie have with her? Since she left her purse behind, was there still money left in her purse?
10) Did Cassie’s phone run out of minutes and when? It was said her phone was hitting VM was that her phone dead or no minutes?
11) What was Cassie’s usual “cigarette run” like? Ie- store, older friend got them for her at the store, she went to a friend’s house, met a friend’s somewhere, etc
12) The 2 times that Cassie ran away for 3-4 days when was she reported & how long after she left was she reported? Where did she go?
13) How was the runaway status introduced & when was Cassies status changed to Missing?
14) Status of the FOIA requests?
15) Was there a FOIA request submitted on the found items incident?
16) We need an idea of Cassie’s personality- was she naïve, outgoing, etc--SEE POST ON FB page "Who is Cassie to you?"
17) Who are Cassie’s friends other than HS?
18) Did anyone else at the Youth Group (?First Baptist) ever really talk to Cassie? Maybe they know some info through small talk.
19) What other activities was Cassie into other than Youth Group?
20) Where did Cassie get her scars- I have seen car accident & from a dog attack.
21) Was the pink apple device an iPod Cassie had or a friends iPhone/iPod?
22) How did JC & BR meet?
23) What is BR & Cassie’s relationship like? OK, controlling, etc?
24) Do Cassie & BR have mutual friends?
25) Cassie is still not in NAMUS-is there a reason that LE, ASP & FBI feel that shouldn’t be done?
26) Are there any future search plans?
27) Were all of BRs things removed from the home? Specifically electronics, journals, etc
28) Does the family have a PC? Was that taken by LE?
29) Are there any firearms in the home of JC & if so are they registered? How about in the home of TS? If so, are any of them missing?
30) In JCs home now- has anything changed? Photos- more? Less? Are things new or missing- curtains, bedding?

IMO it depends on the case, LE, the organization & what other info they have to go on. Cases can be worked without families but with other individuals that were close to that person. BUT usually these organizations can only be brought in by family or LE. So it would be odd to not have family giving some info, IYKWIM. You would think that they wouldn't advertise that they were going to work on it in the event that they didn't have much to go on.

I haven't been on a case where there were multiple orgs involved. But if I were & this came up, I would have to contact the others and see if it was the same parties giving the same issues & see if the same stories were being given. JMO of course.

ETA: Most times, in most cases the family is essential to a case.
