And before I forget... The ping was never verified, so I gather, but klass kids had reason to go to casscoe. It is very well possible that someone charged CC phone, picked up a wifi signal and it pinged in that area. But it doesn't have to necessarily be the casscoe area.
Do we know it was Cassie's phone that pinged there?

I think that is rumor also. I haven't seen where that was verified. I should have clarified that.

poor Cassie...
she didn't ask for what ever happened to happen
She really deserves better...for someone to speak the truth
The truth will set you free...do the right thing...you know you want to.

If anyone has been contacted by a member of WS with the purpose of soliciting or collecting your RL information and passing it along to the Find Cassie Compton FB page, or if any member of the admin of the Find Cassie Compton FB page has reached out to you and then provided your RL identity to individuals at the Find Cassie Compton FB page without your permission, please contact WS admin, a WS moderator or Tricia, the owner of WS.

WS prides itself on the privacy and anonymity of it's members. It is the corner stone of the website and it is part and parcel of why it is a successful site. TOS prohibits this behavior.

Obviously, the other side of the equation is being careful as to who you give your real life identity, especially in a case like Cassie's where there has been subtle and possibly overt obstruction regarding information that will actually locate her.

Just a heads up for those of you posting here. :grouphug:

If we cant verify BR as someone who SPD would brush off because of prior dealings, what do you all think of pursuing the line of thought that he possibly went to SPD and something changed their regarding their initial belief about her disappearance?

  • #546
Please dont let my heads up post chill the discussion-if you are here for the right reasons, WS has your back. :blowkiss:

Oh my. I am not sure what to hope for.

I have friends who live near Stuttgart and shared Cassie's poster on FB. Breaks my heart when kids become "throwaway". :(

((EllieBee)) I am with you.

Cassie's most recent Facebook is no longer there. Not sure if LE shut it down or if someone with Her password did.

You can still get it on Google cache I believe ;)

So my original question-did HS call/txt/go search for Cassie after BR's 3 phone calls?

Answer: (via got4) In the words of TS "they" called Cassie's phone until about 1030PM when it either died or malfunctioned.

Next questions from me:
-Did HS call around/tx mutual friends to ask them if they had seen Cassie/talked to Cassie?
-Did HS go out and look for her out of concern that her phone had died/malfunctioned?

Quoting myself-we know that TS indicates when HS arrived home after dropping Cassie in the alley way/in the driveway on 9/14. I guess we dont know whether or not he went out again to help to try and find her once the phone went dead/malfunctioned. I can see him doing this. I can see a peer who cared about her heading out in their concern for her and asking if anyone had seen her.

What in the world? Where is CASSIE, folks!

I agree Hoosgirl. The rest of this nonsense is white noise. :(

Maybe a fresh start will help tease out some stuff we missed the first time.

Thanks, thanks, thanks. I am missing a few days of catch up and some days it seems the thread runs by like credits at the end of a movie. On several of the cases I follow I can see where people get emotional, feel close and feel they can trust. Each person has to make that judgment call.
For instance, I love the new WS facebook page linked at the top of each page. However, I choose to continue my double life on FB so I did not put a "like" on the page. Sorry :loveyou: I still have mixed feelings. But , I'm a sleuth which makes me feel like I don't want to be sleuthed, LOL. Seriously we do some work here that could ultimately make someone mad just by digging up public information - but we at WS are careful how we post about that. and honestly my book marks are way longer than the media thread on the cases I follow.
Anonymity here has a sensible purpose. Anonymity on certain news website comment apps is for nastiness, ugliness and hiding behind a wall.

If we go back to the beginning, and we choose to believe that BR went to SPD after 3 phone calls to the Snyder's, we are left with the 72 hour statement that BR claims.

So, the question is why did someone tell him that, if you believe his actual visit to be true? It has been suggested that he was known to SPD and perhaps brushed aside. I dont know why and if he was known to SPD-I cant see any reason why he would be so if he wasnt simply brushed aside because they knew him and were getting rid of him, what happened that changed their mind? Because 14 hours later we had a report filed.

I think there was an incident that in retrospect might have been tied to her disappearance. That is the direction I am headed in right now. I think that TS's statements about the alley and the driveway are worth picking apart, especially given our prior direction where we were speculating that TS might have been in the car/suv/truck/vehicle. (Her evolving description of what Cassie was driven home in.) Or following it. Or something. Remember that conversation?

I keep coming back to BR seemed to be the most persistent. At first I fell into the trap that he was overplaying the concerned adult but then gradually wondered why he was the only one. The 3 phone calls are verifiable, not by us but by LE. But WE only have that information from TS. Wasn't it after BR told TS that he went to the PD that she contacted them as well? Hmmm.

By not being an actual parent or guardian, if I were the desk officer, I may have said well we would need a statement from a parent or guardian, otherwise there's a 72 hour wait, but let me get the information down so we have it. I don't think they brushed him off as some bicycle riding dope. I want to think that the officer did his due diligence. Finally, finally they went out there to get the parent's info (JC). I am left juggling who's uncorroborated story (thus far) do I believe. That BR called TS 3 times even though "they know" he saw HS drop her off?. WHY. Why should I believe that.

Just by way of speculation, If I were TS and HS told me he dropped Cassie and BR saw her get out of the truck, I may be asking myself why that was important - then a call comes from BR, then I re-ask HS, then he adds that he also got a text about the smokes after she dropped her stuff off. Maybe there is a text, but nothing says who sent it.

If I were an officer at that desk and these things happened I would just go into my own thought processes - can I ping her phone? ( lol I do not have an opinion on that except yes) Look up TS and BR addresses, priors, etc. No I would not have dropped it. I would already know who JC, BR, TS and HS are and might even have some phone info.

So to my 2ng bold, having this information, a simple call coming in about a pick up truck idling and some activity the caller can't make out my raise my hackles. Or a caller reports a girl walking the road and could be in trouble - anything along those lines that might click. An 'incident'. I still think that the only statements we have to go on are from TS and those should absolutely be picked apart.

No one can absolutely describe what Cassie was wearing yet she was seen by TS, HS and BR. Was she? or was she only seen by one person? Was there in fact, a derby? Was she, in fact unusually quiet on the ride back? Was it fear? Was that home her "safe haven" or is that a concept designed just to deflect any suspicion?

Not to accuse but to question and know more clearly, yes I think everything should be questioned. Respectfully, please.

I'm going to start off by saying that I have only read the first thread and skipped to this one so I may be missing quite a few facts...

I have family who lives in Stuttgart and a distant relative went missing a few years back after a night of drinking on the river. They found him miles away, dead, after being bitten by a snake. Is it possible that something animal related have happened to her as well? From my few visits I recall Stuttgart and the surrounding areas being very country and spread out.

Anything is possible at this point.

Thank you for keeping this thread alive, and all the dedication to finding Cassie. I get so angry that no one (but us) seems to care that this beautiful girl is nowhere to be found. I don't have much to say because I just get so frustrated that there is no forward movement on this case. I check on Cassie every day. There is a least one post a day. There is someone here that comments every day about Cassie.

How often does Judy talk about Cassie? How often does Hunter talk about Cassie? How often does Tracey talk about Cassie? How about her brothers and sister? How often to they grab their phone and go to call or text her before they remember that she's no longer. At least Judy still posts on Facebook.

When is duck season? Stuttgart is the self proclaimed "rice and duck capitol", maybe a hunting accident? I also know its not uncommon for them to release panthers to help with deer overpopulation. I haven't moved past an animal related death/accident.

That's a really gruesome and scary thought. But you know, I'd almost rather that be the outcome versus an outright betrayal from someone who was supposed to be protecting her.
