How about a news article that says Cassies phone was off at 10:30 instead of a different time? Is there anyone other than TS saying 10:30pm?

Just TS. I don't trust anything from that camp however, because it seems like she tried far too hard to make sure HS was far removed from the situation, and purposefully got all eyes on BR and JC. Only information that relieved the TS camp was presented. No helpful information that might find Cassie was provided. Seems suspicious to me.

MY eyes are on HS.

When is duck season? Stuttgart is the self proclaimed "rice and duck capitol", maybe a hunting accident? I also know its not uncommon for them to release panthers to help with deer overpopulation. I haven't moved past an animal related death/accident.

Oh wow. You'd hope with someone missing they'd think twice about that.

But I believe duck season came & went already? Wasn't that the festival that couldn't be too disrupted & JC had a tent at with DW?

Duck season is an annual selection of about 60 days (depending on waterfowl population) from the week of Thanksgiving in November through the end of January. There can be a few hunting breaks to allow the population to build back up. Keep in mind that shotguns with pellet-filled shells are used instead of rifles. Rifles are for deer hunting -- a much shorter season beginning the first weekend in November most years. Turkey season is in spring. Dove in fall, but that is out in grassy areas. I have seen one panther in my life, 1980 to be exact, because that was the year the bayou went dry. Panthers are very, very rare. There are some bear around in the woods, especially the further south one goes. Forestation on the prairie is sometimes called "island" as the trees cluster along waterways. Going down to where the still-missing hunter in Drew County disappeared, trees and bears are thicker. They harvest pine trees instead of crops 100 miles to the south.

DW, TwinMom and JC did not have an individual, stand alone tent / booth like you see a most other annual town festivals. Our chamber of commerce fills downtown with two big, long tents (300 feet long?) where vendors set up inside protected from the weather. It's much more like two long, circus tents with doorways only at the ends. One version of Google Maps had these striped tents in view of downtown from overhead. Most vendors are selling things. One tent is for items directly related to duck hunting (including labrador puppies some years). The other is more "arts and crafts." The booth for Cassie was in the middle row near the northern most doorway near the ampitheater stage. Clearly accessible to all who passed through.

Cassie disappeared before the main hunting seasons. Fall dove hunting is shotgun, but not nearly as popular because the birds are so small. You need a well-trained dog to flush the birds up out of the grass on command. If someone bothers to cook dove, the meat is very oily.

That is exactly the way I see it Gig Tu. I started wondering where the information was coming from with the time frames of Cassie's phone. Every one just ran with what TS said, including the reporters, and now its what everyone goes by?! No wonder theres so much confusion. And how adamantly the admins of FCC don't encourage questions and attack anyone that has them. It really strikes me as a backhanded way of hindering. Has anyone asked JC in the last six months what time her daughters phone was off?

Thank you got4 for the very thorough explanation. Very helpful!

I cant get off this subject of social media-I dont see anything anywhere that rises to the level of combatting. And why is JC still a suspect? And if HS hasnt been ruled out either, does that mean TS is a suspect as well because she provided his alibi?

This is insane. It feels a little too Keystone cops. Maybe a lot too Keystone cops!!
I just saw this. In case it hasn't been brought to anyone's attention, apparently HS has been cleared by the fbi, according to one of the admins on fcc. Of course I would want to see that report myself because that is second hand news. To be cleared is it safe to assume he was given a lie detector test, had his phone confiscated, and his vehicle was thoroughly inspected?

I would like to believe HS is not involved. As soon as that is made available I will publicly apologize. Until then, smells like deflection. I'm not sold.

Starting from the beginning...
I am lifetime local, watching social media daily for updates, who has turned in some info to FBI . . . wondering if it was proven connected or not. I truly do not think the restaurant leads are strong because that main road (22nd St.) is way too visible. Every car at every light can see into these establishments. Not a place to hide or escape from at all. I lean strongly to searching rural (remembering the Casscoe area pings to the east and items disposed of on Bayou Meto to the west). With no body yet with lots of farmers looking as harvest becomes hunting seasons, and human trafficking a possibility, could there have been a pickup point for someone to get her rather than her finding her way to them? I don't know how that "trade" works.
A previous WS commenter...
Thanks for finding us and giving some insight as a local! In regards to the pings. I have heard that rumor, is there anywhere that it can be verified or does it come from a trusted source?

My question...
Yes, please someone show verification of the ping.

got4lilgirls states..
Trusted sources -- but not law enforcement. People on the ground living in these places. I don't get why someone posted DeWitt coordinates, though. I am not aware of that lead.

My question...
Can someone please tell me how anyone can ping a phone other than law enforcement? Pings have to be done in real time, requested by the LE or done by the LE themselves. If their equipped to. So tell me how a "trusted source" pinged her phone before it died.

Life360 has history if you use the paid-for app. There are many others. I don't know if this answers your question(s), but I still wanted to put it out there.

It would be nice to know when LE said that, but unless there is a link to LE or MSM it is rumor here on WS. In other cases LE has explicitly stated someone was cleared. In this case we only heard from LE that JC and B R were suspects. But not that anyone was cleared. The point here being unless something comes from an official source we only have the published word of TS.

:IMO:

I appreciate you sharing this-I am going to assume this was communicated in some way that didnt include putting this on the FB page. If there is belief in this position, the Find Cassie FB page should invest in their own bit of information and make it public.

I think we want to be careful giving any legs to something that is so clearly a rumor, although I understand why you shared it. ;) I would also look at it as a bait in an attempt to flush people out-either those who dont agree with their position, or info planted by LE to determine who is leaking information from inside of the investigation.

As I have said before, LE can lie during an active ongoing investigation. They arent going to share anything with anyone who is under suspicion. Makes sense, right?

I'm going to start off by saying that I have only read the first thread and skipped to this one so I may be missing quite a few facts...

I have family who lives in Stuttgart and a distant relative went missing a few years back after a night of drinking on the river. They found him miles away, dead, after being bitten by a snake. Is it possible that something animal related have happened to her as well? From my few visits I recall Stuttgart and the surrounding areas being very country and spread out.

I think it is absolutely possible. I am so sorry for the loss of your family member. Do you remember how long it was from the disappearance to the discovery of him?

Where on fcc is that posted? I've looked all over and can't find it.

As of 3/31/15, just a few days ago, "they haven't ruled anyone out as a suspect". Therefore, HS is still in the radar.

Lieutenant Duke said, as per usual in missing person's investigations they haven't ruled anyone out as a suspect in the 16 year-old's disappearance – they're still receiving weekly leads and they're working with State Police, the FBI, and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

 • #579
Where are the weekly leads coming from I wonder? It may be that someone is finally talking and that is a very good thing. Nothing is as bad as this burden that someone is carrying. You cant move on with your life if you keep carrying it around. You cant run from it...

Everything I have heard in regards to HS being cleared by the fbi has been hearsay from an admins of fcc. I understand that rumors shouldn't be mentioned, and I won't do it again. But I want to point out that, imo, the fcc has a different motive behind the page. Purely my opinion.
