FORT SMITH, Ark. -- According to a police report filed at the Fort Smith Police Department on Saturday, Cassie Cotta is listed as a missing person - endangered

I am beyond tired of this! People just disappear around this area, end up dead, and nothing is ever done. This reminds me so much of the Jodi Rilee Wilson story, and I sure hope it doesn't end up the same. Please, if anyone knows anything, call the authorities!

Fort Smith, Ark. – Cassie Cotta, 24, was last seen headed to a party in Alma with a man named Brandon Friday night, according to police. When she failed to show up for her New Year’s Eve shift at a Perry’s Place, a bar on N. 6th, her worried mother reported her missing.

Cpl. Stephen Dooly says Cotta's husband Brent was the last known person to speak with her. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the neighborhood on Johnson Street where she was last seen, however, Cpl. Dooly tells 5NEWS witnesses say it’s common for that area.

aaahhhheeemmm....she was headed to a party with a guy named Brandon and she has a husband named Brent...okay why does this just not sound right? Call me jaded but this already doesn't look good...even without the gunshots in the neighborhood or rather especially with the gun shots heard in the neighborhood.

This is a bit confusing, she was last seen with a man named Brandon, but her husband was the last person to have spoke with her? Did Brandon drop her off somewhere and she called her husband? Wouldn't Brandon have been the last known person to speak with her if she was with him otherwise?

Why didn't her husband report her missing when she failed to come home from the party? Is the husband the last known person to speak with her because the police can't find Brandon who is in hiding or because they can't verify that Brandon exists?

Thank you ladies for bringing Cassie to the attention of others. I do not know her but my little brother does. I don't know too much of what is going on with this case at the moment, because I live in Hot Springs and they haven't picked up the story yet. I do know it was brought to my attention last night.

If I hear anything, I will let you ladies know.

Apparently, it was posted on her FB page that she didn't go to the party with Brandon, because Brandon spent the evening with friends (one of the friends posted this), and Brandon spent the evening texting Cassie from the friend's phone; friend still has the text messages.

Also, Cassie and Brent were married in June of 2011, for anyone interested.

I wonder if most of what is on her (and a lot of people's) fb page is all "fluff" stuff... for effect:

Her cousin is not the same Brandon that she was apparently having some heated words with on FB (link is on post 6 above, last link.) I'm not sure if the conversation was a real one, or just two people joking with each other.

Sounds like she was suppose to have a date with Brandon and he was a no show. ?? Maybe she was angry and decided to party with someone else on the fly and she left no msgs to anyone. Just mad and wanted to party. imo

The media needs to clarify a few things because it's as clear as mud right now. When and what was said to the husband?

I couldn't find any pics of her on the hubby's FB except the profile pic....and it was just recently changed.

The BM she was supposedly going to party with is married and has 2 kids. Sounds like an on an off marriage. IMO
