AR - Day care 'teacher' caught on tape raping 4 yr old

  • #21
I don't like to leave my children with anyone else, frankly.

We only trust ours with a few select family members. Even that is a short list.

I see she can handle it herself. Sorry! :blushing:

That's why I'm sitting here instead of being at work.

Your welcome SewingDeb, someone very close to me was also sexually assaulted at a very young age. By the teenage son of a tenant her parents rented their back house to.

Yeah, that's the way I was. My youngest is almost 14 so babysitter days are over for me now anyway. It's terrible that we can't just trust anyone and everyone to care for our children but it's a fact of life.

This is the exact reason I will be staying home with my baby, when she arrives. This is also why I will be going with my gut feelings on certain people in our familys who will NEVER be alone with her.

Now that I have read through the thread I just wanted to say something.

Yes while there may be some good guys, it is not a risk I am willing to take. And yes women hurt babies as well, but the majority of molesters are men, men close to your child.

I was so scared to have a girl for this reason. Reading here at WS has just made me rethink everything in my life pertaining to her. My BFs sisters husband (wow sorry..LOL) met her and within a month they were enagaged married within a year and he has children that he doesnt see. Anyway BF thinks I am crazy as I told him flat out, Marley will NEVER stay at his sisters EVER. There is a reason he doesnt see his kids, and I will NEVER risk it with my Baby. Just because no one else has a problem with it, he just rubs me the wrong way. I think I have finally got through to him. There are other people in our lives who rubs me the wrong way as well, and I will go with my gut. If I offend people then so be it, i could care less. the only thing that matters to me Is Marley is safe from these types of monsters.

Again sorry to you Good Guys out there. But there are too many bad guys that out number you. Just isnt worth the risk IMHO

C'mon ladies, even though I don't blame you a bit for feeling that way. I'm a stay at home dad and in the summer I watch a neighbors two daughters. Not all of us males are bad.

I salute you for being a stay at home dad!  Being able to stay home and raise your children is a great blessing for you and the kids.

No, not all males but don't be angry with those of us who are cautious. Blame the fool that feels a 4 year old is a sex object. Blame the fool who seeks out a position of trust with kids then sodomizes then. Blame the fool who marries single mothers just to rape her daughters. That is where your anger should be. Not at those who are afraid to leave their kids with guys. You should be outraged that this happened and say "guy is a freak, I would never hurt a kid but I understand your anger instead of getting offended.
(NOT THAT YOU, MY FRIEND, IS OFFENDED OR ANGRY JUST PEOPLE IN GENERAL)

Look: If big goth girls raped little boys for fun, I would understand why some parents would choose not to leave their kids in my care...I, as a parent who reads websleuths enough to know A LOT of "Caregivers" who are male RAPE their wards, would never dream to let a man watch my children. EVER.

Will ALL men molest kids? HELL NO. But I would never take that chance and the reason is because while there are women child molesters out there, MOST are indeed men.

(looking at the TBI website, there are 46 men sexual offenders in my small zip code area and 1 female. 22 out of the 46 are CHILD MOLESTERS. The lone female was arrested for prostitution.)

Don't gang up on SewingDeb! She's allowed to have her own opinion, just like everyone else here. Not speaking for her, but I know she isn't the offending type.

Thanks Taximom. I'm really not trying to offend any good people.

You go with your gut and trust those instincts Indy and, don't ever let anyone tell you differently. I'm sure you will do wonderfully for Marley. I want you to know my youngest is autistic and even though I havn't posted there. I've read your thread in the jury room. You and your daughter are in my famillies prayers and we wish you the all the best.

Indy, boy or girl, stay alert. I'm just as much concerned about my little guy (ok he's 12!!) as I am about my daughters.

The sad thing about this case though is that I bet this little girl wasn't his first. :(

It is just so sad. Our children are not safe anywhere:mad:

I told BF I wanted to home school Marley. He said okay you really need to stop reading that forum...LOL

I know you're not saying that there are more molestors out there than there are normal men.

Oh please, let's not make this a male bash-fest. I take offense to this. Women abuse children too.

I'm a male and I babysat children for years. I got paid to order a pizza and play Nintendo with them. :)
I agree with you both- I am a mom, and someone here said they wouldnt even let a male family member watch their children-

No offense, but yes. Many of them havent been caught yet. In my city we have a huge problem with this. I can show you how many are within 10 miles of me if you like. Many of them are not reported as well

Thanks bigbuck. Just wanted people to know I have my reasons for the way I feel.

I realize women are sometimes abusers as well but by and large, most child molesters are male. Let's just say I was always very careful who I left my children with and mostly took them with me.
understandable

I'm sorry. This is completely laughable.
