GUILTY AR - Jersey Bridgeman, 6, raped & murdered, Bentonville, 20 Nov 2012 #1

If you read BT's facebook, it has his posts from the day before or night. He is saying he would be off 3 days as he had already worked 41 hours. He would have been off at 7am that morning (Monday). Jersey went missing between midnight & 6:45am (Tues) Mom may have been at work until then. (not sure why the link is to Mom's fb as I'm looking at his page)

Remember, Daily Mail is a UK tabloid - though they do use U.S. sources for their info, only Fox News (another red arrow) is linked in that story (though ABC News is also referred to); authorship is attributed to a "Daily Mail Reporter" - and has been known to get details wrong, so for a timeline I'd probably double-check AP sources too.

Agreed. They have details that I have not seen anywhere else, and since they aren't here as a source to get new information, I would assume they are inferring and may not be accurate.

I would not use them to make any conclusions, personally.

He says that he worked so much that he is going to get the next three nights off after tonight. Since it was posted on Monday, we can assume he had to work Monday night and then was expecting T, W, and Th night off.

So beens a got 41 hours in three days the BIG BOSSS gave me the next three days off after tonight.

That was posted on 11/19 (Monday) with a response at 2:01pm 11/19 and he said he would be getting 3 days off after tonight...so he would have worked that night and got off Tuesday morning. Confirms what the media said he co-workers stated. That's how I read it.

I took it as he was at work when he posted he would be off after that shift whatever time that would be over. He had 41 hours and a comment was made by another at around 3pm that day to his post. It says it was posted via mobile. He obviously wasn't working his normal time as he had 41 hours in 3 days per his posts. If you hover over the dates posted, it gives the time. He also mentions he hadn't had any sleep in 48 hours in another comment.

I see what you guys are saying though & you are probably right.

Article also says she was found 10 minutes after the call. Now this tells me either the person who called told them where she was or no one had even looked for her in the neighborhood. Very strange to me. jmo
I don't find it too odd. Personally, I'd call much faster if I'd expected my child to be in bed than if they were, say, playing outside and I maybe just lost track of them.

I'm going to assume that looking outside was futile without high powered flashlights, since it is still dark at that hour.

School is 7:30 here for elementary, most kids are at the bus stop around 7 give or take. I would find it unlikely that she woke up any later than 6:30, which suggests she looked for at least 13 minutes, with a call time of 6:43.

4029 reported 10 minutes for police to find her, and 5news reported 15. I'm guessing it was chaotic and a rough time frame. They found her insanely quick, but then again after seeing them in action before- I don't doubt it. They had no qualms about walking into fenced yards and pointing lights in windows- very efficient police department.

Plus, if the child is not at home or apparently in the vicinity, an abandoned house two doors down would be one of the first places checked.

Does it seem excessive for him to post so much right then about when he would be at work? Or maybe not. I wish I could just wait patiently for LE to announce an arrest instead of obsessively revisiting the Benton County inmate locator, refreshing this page, and reading fb pages.
I know from experience in other cases that everybody and every post on facebook starts to look suspicious after a while.

Who is she? They have not confirmed that the mother was even at home. Or is the one who placed the 911 call. tia

Has it been released or do we know if he has any prior record? tia

It hasn't been released, and with a name as common as BT's name, it would be hard to be sure you were looking at records for this exact person.

The call was at 6:43 and they found her at 6:53 (unless reports are wrong). It would take the LE longer than that to get to my house. That is 10 minutes to get there, organize and search. I am sorry, but makes no sense to me. I am probably just being pessimistic but it is jmo.

You are exactly right. Very common name. jmo

The police station is only about a mile away from Jersey's house, and patrol cars would most likely be much closer. They'd easily be almost anywhere in the "downtown" area in just a minute or two. Not sure they'd have to "organize" a search, just ask some questions, give a look around, and go, "Hey, we'd better try that abandoned house." I'm positive they know of any houses in the central area that are abandoned.

he, she, it. Whomever called it in. She is just my go to when I'm speaking generally.

Although, I am working under the guarded assumption that her mother called in until I hear otherwise. It very well could be that she called her boyfriend and he called, or that she wasn't even home. Who knows for sure.

ETA- and it's entirely possible that they had a tip off the abandoned house in some way that it was checked first. I agree it's a VERY short span of time for everything to happen, even with the close proximity to the police station. They are super efficient, but even then it's quite something how fast it developed.

I read somewhere that Jersey was put to bed at midnight. Isn't this awfully late for a 6 year old to be going to bed on a school night?

Yes, and I agree. There have just been some ambigous reports and I thought maybe you had heard something definitive. I wish that we knew more, but I have a feeling we will soon. I think it developed very quickly myself. No real details except the 911 call came in and they found the body in the abandoned house. I just want more and I guess I am too impatient. jmo

I've seen that statement as well, but only as an inference. I haven't heard it from a reliable source yet. It is late for a 6 year old, if that is even when she went to bed and not the last time she was checked on. That's about the time I go to bed, and I check on my kids as part of my routine so that's what I've inferred from it.

I am so glad they are being careful and methodical, but it's hard not really knowing too. I have to figure out how to tell my 7yo before Monday so they can hear it from me and not from someone else... but it would be a lot easier to explain if I knew enough to calm any fears that come up.

I'm feeling anxious for more details. I think details help us reason out our own safety to some extent and help us place blame, which helps us find resolution. Waiting is harder than it seems like it should be.
