Fox News announced the Duggar interview on May 30. The 911 call from DHS was on May 27. So the question is did it occur before or after the interview was taped?

The interviews (both JimBob and Michelle and the 2nd one on Friday with Jill and Jessa) were both taped the morning of June 3rd.

Fox News' Megyn Kelly has landed the coveted interview, which will be taped Wednesday in the Duggars' home state of Arkansas, with a large portion of it broadcast later that evening on The Kelly File, Deadline reports. Some of the interview will also be held for a one-hour special The Kelly File, scheduled to air on Friday night.

Thanks for the continued discussion. I have nothing much to contribute but read the thread daily for new posts. I still can't believe TLC hasn't canceled the Duggar hypocrisy show yet. WTH are they waiting for? Guess they must think that all will be forgotten by fall The show must go on!

Ok I'm confused. I've seen many say for TLC to remove the show. I thought immediately TLC did remove the show. Are we talking about to discontinue filming or something? TLC pulled the show but maybe has not made it official it's a permanent cancellation ? TIA

A new report by In Touch claims the Duggar family was being investigated as recently as May 27, and a 911 call regarding the Duggars was placed on that date by a Washington County Department of Human Services (DHS) worker because the DHS was allegedly being denied access to a minor in the family.

The call was supposedly just days after a May 19 report by In Touch revealed Josh Duggar had sexually abused five females – including four sisters -- when he was 14 or 15 back in 2002 and 2003. ...



After the revelations about the Duggars hit the web, the Arkansas Department of Human Services reportedly launched a new investigation into the family made famous by the TV show “19 Kids and Counting.”

The latest issue of In Touch magazine contains a transcript of the 911 call that was allegedly made regarding the Duggar family. In supposed printed transcript of the call, the caller identifies the home they are calling about by saying “Address is the Duggar family home.”

The alleged transcript states the caller said the following when asked for the reason for the call: ...

Because the liberal media with the pornographer agenda would just make up a 911 call transcript...

So.......someone reported abuse or suspicions of abuse a bit BEFORE the story went very public? That's even more damning than who they revealed themselves to be in their interview.

They didn't cooperate with LE because :

A. They have more to hide
B. They were afraid of what their minor daughter might say
C. They think they're above the law
D. They thought their interview would make everyone go away
E. All of the above.

TLC pulled reruns. They weren't actively fiming new shows anyway, and haven't announced whether or not they ever will. I guarantee you TLC is hoping this all goes away, that a spin-off will fly, at least.

The Duggars are profitable for the network....TLC's most profitable show, in fact. Brought in $25 million for the network last year alone.

Hmmmm. Let's think about this. Unless it is a new set of allegations, my money is on them looking for the youngest victim who is still a minor.

Conversely, maybe one of the kids called DHS themselves. Looking for help. Wouldnt that be something.

In any case, 5/27 DHS shows up at the Duggar compound and they are refused an interview with a child. Which triggers a 911 call and I think we can safely assume the interview was compelled at that point.

The Duggars et al were filmed on 6/3, and at least one of them indicated that there was nothing more than the revelations that had previously been made.

Thanks for the heads up That said, I have no doubt that Lifetime/LMN or another made-for-television movie entity is considering a film about the Duggar molestation "fiasco". The salacious subject matter would be a huge money-grabber. Heck, the Duggars might even agree to "star" in a movie about their super-sized, sex-obsessed brood

IMO, each incident referred to is a block of time. JimBob is the head of a cult. Several times in the girls (now grown women) interview, they referred to what HE had told them to say. ie 'Our Father explained it this way'. FWIW, I live in the same area and they are not as well liked as portrayed by them or the show. As many of them as there are, if each brought a friend or two, plus a few Families that follow, filmed at the proper angle any event will look like a cheering throng. The kids and extended Family are REQUIRED to attend.

As much as I am super disappointed in the way MK conducted the interview I am pretty sure the Duggars set up some prerequisites before agreeing to do it and if she had strayed, they would have walked. This is a highly controlled public relations campaign by this family and they're not going to allow anyone to 'paint' the story any other way than the way the Duggars and their lawyers want it done. Period ! It was their way or the highway and MK wanted the interview so she did it their way . My opinion only but I'm sure we can all agree it's pretty close to accurate

What I think is incredibly lame is the belief that having the Duggars was a scoop worth tanking your journalistic reputation over...if MK ever had one-I am not familiar with her. The inaccuracies that she let slide and the lies that she repeated as facts...well it was quite clear she was their performing monkey. I wonder if this is what she originally envisioned?

No matter-this isnt like Dan Rather and Hussein...this is the felony dodging parents of a self confessed serial child molester who were working desperately to save the gravy train, even if that meant presenting his most acceptable, popular victims as examples of how incest can be "non damaging."
