Anna may "say" she's using her "faith" to forgive Josh. But deep down inside how will she ever be able to trust him. She knows he's a pedophile, watches/addicted to some kind of , advertises for an affair, is a blatant hyprocate. No telling what other secrets he has. I wouldn't trust him around his own children. There's not enough faith in this world to live my life with so much mistrust of my husband and potential danger to any kids around him. JMO He's sickening and his parents did nothing to help him. IMO

I just can't get out my head that Anna is a victim of being brought brow beaten by such ferverant preachings that "Women" are subservient...meaning their whole lives is about bearing children and serving their ( masters) husbands... Just How can Anna find it possible to fight back against such mentally she was indoctrinated to?? She is thankful for her babies..BUT her rights as a mother is only IF her husbands gives her the right to do whatever?? :facepalm:

Just watching how those video's of those female children of JimBob and Michelle only gives a glimpse of the controls they endured ..and I'm not even talking about exposure of abuse by bother dearest...BUT They have been controlled +++..

Victims by these types really needs to be addressed..FLDS abuses of young women and yes, even son's too who are expected to do certain things..Oppressive to say the least!!

Yet, I keep hearing the outcry about Sharia Laws?? but these same Extreme Religious Right folks demand behaviour much the same !! Yet many of these "Cult-like" people practice very similar teachings..save the killing..But personal assassinations of anyone means they cannot function in the real society like most democracy advocates seem to wish for.. :gaah:

Imagine all the genders here reversed.

Would the prevailing sentiment really be "Poor Josh, didn't have a chance, he was the victim of brainwashing and arranged marriage in a misandrist cult, so he was not much more than a child himself when he married, and therefore couldn't be expected to step up and protect his kids from possible sexual abuse from his wife, even after he learned she had sexually abused kids as a teen?"

If this took place in a society in which males were trained to be subservient, were bombarded everyday of their lives with messages criticizing them for things over which they had no control, were always judged on appearance, were held responsible for the behaviour of those over whom they had no control, were denied educational opportunities, were denied social outlets, were denied access to beliefs other than those of the parental authority figures, were unable to earn a living, were held responsible for the raising of children, were only given sexual contact at the whim or demand of someone over whom they had no control, were limited in their entertainment to books and videos approved of by religious authorities, had no expectation of being supported by any member of their family or community, had no expectation of support from government agencies, had no status outside the sexual role of on-call stud, had no access to money, would lose his children if he left, would lose access to food and shelter if he left, would be shunned by the only community he had ever known if he left, would believe his children and his family would burn in hell forever if he left, would believe he was damned forever if he left, would be unable to support himself because he had no marketable skills or employment history, would feel worthless because he could not hold his family together, if he believed that she had been healed and cured by therapists and was assured by religious authorities that because god said so, she was cured, because he believed that she was made in the image of god and that he should follow her every decree because he was unworthy and could only have god's approval if her every dictate was obeyed to the letter.

IMO from all I have read of this Family and their beliefs I doubt sex between these husbands and wives is nothing more than to create Family. Josh has been raised to these teachings. Not defending him at all. Even if Anna enjoyed sex for procreation and was open to some fun slutty sex Josh would still be "troubled". IMO. What chaps my arse the most was the hypocrisy. Slamming folks and I know a few who are same sex married. Wonderful people. Oh and the Parents actually thinking they could handle this. Breaks my heart the victim trail is still going on. Anna? I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

While publicly vaunting his 'moral superiority' atop his pedestal of self-righteous hypocrisy, he was actively pursuing extramarital affairs with any willing partner.

If Josh Duggar was a nobody, I wouldn't give a fig that he sought out partners for extramarital liaisons . But he set himself up as a public figure - a morally superior public figure. He took it upon himself to be a judge of other people's lifestyles and worked on behalf of a lobbying group that actively sought to pass discriminatory laws.

This man's actions are, IMO, an insult to & an attack on true family values.

Josh Duggar can profess feeing 'ashamed' til he's blue in the face - but I seriously doubt he knows the true meaning of the word. A person with a conscience feels shame & remorse for their harmful actions, regardless of whether or not anyone knows about their misdeeds.

IMO, JD only feels 'ashamed' because his dirty deeds have been made public, causing his public image to suffer & revealing him for the insufferable hypocrite that he is. As long as his filthy dealings were kept in the dark, he was good to go, in his eyes.

Agreed. If he was really ashamed, he would have confessed all of this in May and put himself into real therapy.

I wouldn't blame it on that..... After all preggo sex is more intense for the female than non preggo sex. Otherwise, I can't imagine women wanting to endure the pain of childbirth if there wasn't the added pleasure during pregnancy.

Perhaps JD doesn't find the female body attractive during pregnancy. Whatever the reason there is no excuse for his not communicating his desires to his spouse. I don't think he fully understands the betrayal to his vows.

I don't know how she stays with him, unless she is ok with his being unfaithful. Once a cheater always a cheater.

Let's not forget that when Josh signed up for his second account on AM that he forked over the extra $250 for the "affair guarantee". Any bets on if he demanded that money back, or did he actually have that affair that he was willing to pay extra for? Especially since he was fired because of the scandal before this one.

ETA There should be no limits in sex crimes. Many children who are abused have to become adults to be strong enough to talk about it. Why should that disqualify them from getting justice? BS laws !

You have become my personal hero. So many being let out of jail ever after molesting. I know most have not been victimized but someone needs to explain to someone having your innocence, childhood, trust in everything you know, and also if the perpetrator is sick enough, your faith in God, or a God caring from you stolen. How can you put a price, sentence, statue of limitations on that? you can't.

Pretty sure you guys are smart and savvy enough to figure out what that means. Your television days are history. Maybe follow in the steps your daughter and son-in-law and do some mission work. He molested his sisters and another minor girl when he was a teen. He never underwent any kind of bona fide therapy for those acts of sexual deviancy. Instead, his parents went to great lengths to cover it up and excuse his behavior.

Fast forward to today. He's promoted himself as an authority on sexual morality and a spokesperson for "family values", all while he's been seeking out secret sexual encounters outside his marriage.

It's a good thing he hasn't been in charge of an army - otherwise, he would have ordered Uriah to the battlefront to be killed so he could have Bathsheba to himself.

I think he's been taught since birth that he's a god unto himself and that he can do no wrong.

Reality can be such a buzz-kill.
