A few things.

The police report contradicts the "girls didn't know what was happening to them until JB and Michelle told them" carp. At least one of the girls went to the "parents" (yes I used it like that because they are to me just the sperm and egg donors) and told on Josh, THEN Josh "came clean" to his "parents". One incident was in the laundry room. Better believe that child knew what he was doing to her as she was NOT asleep. Another incident was when a child was sitting on Josh's lap for him to "read a book to her". Again, that child knew what he was doing to her as she was NOT asleep. The "girls didn't know anything until we told them" is a big freaking lie made up by JB and Michelle to make it "not so bad".

In the Duggar religion, if one choses to look at their literature, it is always the victim's fault that she was molested. It is also at times the parents fault if they do not teach their daughters to be modest at all times. Boys can be "tempted" by changing the diaper of a sister. Let's let that one sink in a bit. A baby, in a diaper, is a temptation to a male that is changing their diaper. While Josh was "punished" by being sent to help build a house or some such BS, the girls were punished more harshly IMO. The girls were made to all share one room, with a lock on the door, to wear long pants under their skirts, to be responsible for their brothers lusting if they dressed or behaved "immodestly", did NOT get the help from respected drs that they desperately needed and were forced to "forgive" their brother even if they weren't ready to at that time. The girls have been raised to know that they are second class citizens while their brothers are the favored children. The girls are simply there to raise babies, do housework, do whatever their father (and then husband when they marry) says and to have LOTS of children. The girls were the ones responsible for keeping an eye out for worldly "immodestly" dressed women/girls and telling their brothers/father "Nike" so they would not look and be tempted. ALL of the pressure is on the girls. Not on the boys. If any of the children would have a dysfunctional life because of their upbringing, such as experimenting or having sexual issues, it seems to me that it would be the severely repressed girls and not the better than the other sex boys.

Josh knew what he was doing was wrong. Josh also knew that he would get away with it and he has for the most part. His "parents" covered for him even going to the extreme of not allowing him to be interviewed by police. Josh has not been forced to actually speak in public about what all he has done. His victims (two of them anyway) were forced to excuse him, talk highly of him, say that it wasn't a big deal, etc on national tv though. Once again, the son gets off easy while the girls get the short end of the stick. Josh makes me sick. JB and Michelle make me sick. I wish that ALL of the remaining children would be removed from their home and able to heal from the brainwashing their have endured since their birth. Anna needs to think about herself and her children, but she won't. She will stay with him and make excuses for him no matter what he does to her. And that is a shame. It's a shame that this cycle is going to continue all in the name of their "religion".

I bet that any food that was shown on their food shelves was donated.

Their house was free.

So out of their 25 million could they not save some money?

I see no reason that Josh is going to have to get an EBT card.

If worse comes to worse, Anna can go to school to learn something that will provide an income if Josh is unemployable. He can do it like countless women have to do it.

Josh can do ................childcare while Anna attends school and works.

Sounds reasonable to me.

It would be reasonable if it weren't a man that had molested four of his sisters and one family friend (that we know of) before. At this point I would not leave him alone for 2 mins with my children. And if you can't trust your partner with your children then there is no point in staying with that person.

Given he was on that paid site and paid the extra for a guaranteed or $ back hook up I would say he did. The way he words it tho one can also interpret he means the was being unfaithful. IMO he tries to minimize as much as he can the ongoing train wreck.

When he signed up for the second AM account he paid the extra $250 for the "affair guarantee". I think it's safe to say that he cheated with other women, or was at least so willing and ready to do so that he paid extra to ensure that it happened.

I couldn't agree more! Given his past actions with the addition of a addiction, I would hope that would be enough for probable cause to search his computer and it's usage.

That wording is just so smarmy, "I became unfaithful to my wife." Separates himself from responsibility. He didn't magically just become unfaithful, he actively sought out people to have affairs with.

If it came to that, a trial because of any crimes that he has/had committed, I don't think he would be alive by the beginning of the trial. Since he has been allowed to do as he pleases for so long without any real consequences, I can see him killing himself in order to not have to go to prison. He comes across as an entitled p!ssant that would not be able to live the courts holding him responsible and making him pay (prison sentence) for his crimes. And yes, Anna will always be at fault for whatever Josh does. It's her job as his wife, according to their "religion".

What he did at 14-15 was sick and gross. It was 5 little girls...5 and he was old enough to know it was wrong thats why he did it when they were asleep so they couldn't tell on him!

As for the lying and cheating on his wife...

I have perhaps some insight as to the why.

Growing up in a strict religious home you are taught to believe certain things. Sex before marriage is wrong, is wrong, masterbation is wrong, in his case kissing before marriage is wrong. You believe this because your parents who love you taught you this. You grow up move out and see and learn of others kissing before marriage, watching , talking about masterbation and look they are "normal" and living "happy" lives.

You begin to doubt your upbringing but now you are in too deep, you married a good believing wife, you are a public figure (yikes espousing hate)you have 4 children and you family who you love and loves you and they are good christians. You are standing on a precipice...you now see what you were taught is bunk. What do you do? Leave? You can't because the dark underbelly of this love filled religion is shunning. So you fake it or hide.

I say the above only because the key to understanding is knowledge. Knowledge about how a persons upbringing can and could effect their decision making. Doesn't make it right or wrong I'm just letting those of you that weren't raised in a strict religion see what a person who is MAY go through.

They can see the "fun" in the "world" but should they taste it they are risking loosing their ENTIRE family and friends so they hide it.

Having said all of that there are guys/gals out there they are not raised in strict religious homes that cheat too.

Excellent insight. And I do not think at all that by trying to understand the impact of sexual repression and hypocrisy you are in any way defending the resulting behaviors.

Hopefully this will serve as a cautionary tale to zealots from all beliefs. Your intolerance can create monsters.
