In another thread, I read that this thread has been considered as anti-Christian. I do not believe that this is the case, but I wanted to throw it out here, to anyone who is reading -- does anyone think that this thread is 'anti-Christian', and if so, in what way?
Nope, it's Anti-Hypocrite. :moo:

http://gawker.com/is-this-where-josh-duggar-is-in-sex-rehab-1726687142

It just so happens that John David Duggar, Josh’s younger brother, has his pilots license and a plane to use it on. Now, should you look up the plane’s identification number (which is clearly visible here) on FlightAware, you can see that, on the night of August 24, the Duggars made a trip from Springfield, Arkansas to Rockford, Illinois at 10:45 p.m.
...
But it turns out that the Duggars actually have have a history, with one particular Christian-based addiction facility right in Rockford itself. As they themselves noted in this Facebook post from October of 2014, Reformers Unanimous (RU) is an “incredible... addiction program.”

Looks like Anna's brother is having NONE of this (not sure if this was posted - trying to catch up).

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity...josh-duggar-on-facebook-2015248#ixzz3jwJRmBTD

The drama began when Josh's younger sister Jessa Duggar took to Facebook to share a Bible passage about confessing sins before God. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us," the passage from 1 John 1:8 reads. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Jessa's poignant (and very pointed) update prompted a reaction from Keller. "You have to confess and forsake your sin to have mercy. Not sin confess and repeat," Anna's sibling wrote, as a deluge of commenters responded underneath his comment.

As Keller interacted with commenters, more revelations were made about Anna's current situation. "I know that my sin sent Jesus to the cross just as did josh sin," Keller wrote. "But think for a min about the victims. Tell me how you would feel if someone cheated on your sister and brought so much disgrace to you and ur family. And when you done that. Go to hell you p----."

Duggar Family Statement
August 26, 2015
We are so thankful for the outpouring of love, care and prayers for our family during this most difficult situation with Josh. As parents we are so deeply grieved by our son’s decisions and actions. His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear. Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change.

I predict in a few weeks or months we will see Josh on a speaking tour talking about grace and mercy and how he's a changed man now.

It's a wonder Anna wasn't sent somewhere. Ya know since it's all her fault. Grrrrrr

Someone's gotta take care of all those kids and Anna was left holding the bag.

But there is someone trying to talk her into staying...?

In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God—He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family.

Here is a link to a 20/20 expose of the sect/culture the Duggars are a part of and how they address sexual abuse:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hF_b5kEZyLw

This is key to understanding the Duggar molestation scandal, why Anna has stayed and why the victims are supportive of Josh.

It also supports my view that the culture directly fosters molesters and serial adulterers like Josh duggar as well as wife beaters and the intense physical abuse of children. It covers it ALL. Everything that is really going on with the Duggars, the BAteses and families like theirs.

This is a must see.

Excellent exposé on some of the draconian practices/beliefs of the IFB "churches".

A forewarning: the above video contains some very disturbing information and personal accounts that may by strong triggers for abuse survivors.

What kind of treatment? The kind his parents sent him to after molesting his siblings hooking him up with a pedo former state trooper? Or a reputable treatment facility?

Yada yada yada. Time will tell. Actions speak louder than words. Is he really going to cut off those dead branches and produce some fruit? Or is this just another slimy attempt at feigning true change?

I actually feel sorry for Anna. Although her reality seems like a freakshow to most of us, this is the world of values in which she has been marinated since her birth.

Sounds, though, like she has a couple of siblings who managed to decide for themselves what is right and what is horrible, horribly wrong. Maybe they can pull her out of this sucking abyss.

If this is true... I guess that's why he mentioned the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addiction ? Because he knew that his sessions with 🤬🤬🤬🤬 stars would be coming out sooner or later and it gets you more pity if you're a poor little addict than if you're a john.

It may have gotten creepy, but she still agreed to have sex with him.

I'm Christian and what bothers me is when people lump all Christians together in their criticism of the Duggars. Their Christianity doesn't look like mine. (Just this weekend we had a gay wedding at our church - and it was one of the most moving celebrations of love and family that I've ever witnessed at a wedding.)

I also think there is a misunderstanding about the concept of forgiveness. I do not want to get into a debate about what forgiveness means, but it does bother me when people scoff at it or don't understand it. I just scroll past those posts.

Mainly, I don't like blanket statements about "Christians" because we are NOT all like the Duggars! Not at all!

I agree. I think the problem is that Christianity in society has been linked with ultra conservative Christian groups, televangelists and hypocrties for quite a while in our country.

But as Montjoy pointed out with the Scotsman fallacy, we can say they are not true Christians, but they are Christians. And in the U.S. they appear to outnumber the rest of us.

In any event I agree wholeheartedly about forgiveness. One of the most touching examples of true Christian forgiveness, one that many not only don't understand but are even appalled by, is the case of the mother of a little girl who was kidnapped from their campsite, held for days while raped and abused, and then murdered. Marietta Jaeger after years of understandable hate, forgave her daughter's murderer, embraced his mother, literally and spiritually, and even goes with the mother to visit her son's grave. It is incredible. And inspiring.

Its PR too. Many celebs caught with their pants down repeatedly, get "treatment". In reality, they are just creeps. That is not sickness or addiction. It's a moral problem.

If there's an upside to this, it's that it has just become a whole lot easier for Anna to leave him.

She won't leave. If she does she will be ostracized by her whole community and her culture has taught her to stay and take the blame. Notice they said Anna will be getting her own "counsel". I have no doubt she will have to confess to her failings as a wife, for not putting out enough or being sweet enough or doing the different kind of sex acts he wants, or being attractive enough for Josh. She will have to then repent before she will be forgiven.

Please watch that 20/20 expose I posted. It explains all about this culture. It's only about half an hour long. It shows how women and victims are blamed for everything. A man who rapes a teenager or molests a child gets to maintain his position as a deacon, choir member and hang out with minor children in the church. But the victim is expelled, shunned, forced to stand up before the church for church discipline and then is sent away so the matter cannot be reported to the police.

This is is quite scary stuff and very hard to extricate oneself from.

In her eyes, the family is still considered fundie Royalty.

I don't believe so. They have Calvinist leanings and this stuff would indicate God's disfavor as to the family. That's why Josiah Duggar's girlfriend's parents ended their courtship I believe. However, there would be no redemption for Anna if she left.

She does appear to have a couple lucid, supportive family members but she's been force-fed the kool aid for many too many years for those outliers to penetrate her mindset, I suspect.

I have absolutely no experience but I imagine that many of the married guys who approach 🤬🤬🤬🤬 stars for prostitution might tend on the creepy side. I mean, eww... if they were nice old boring vanilla type they might not approach 🤬🤬🤬🤬 stars with prostitution requests.

Snipped

I think you are absolutely right about Josh's future, and I will be expecting this development.

I also expect Jim Bob to be comparing himself to Job soon, if he hasn't already.

JMO.

Brilliant understatement.

But it all makes sense somehow. He's Josh Duggar, a reality tv star and the firstborn of a fundie royalty family. When he gets caught with his pants down he's not just your regular garden variety hypocrite, he's the biggest hypocrite in the world. So when he wants to pay for sex, it's got to be a glamorous 🤬🤬🤬🤬 star... not just any old hooker would suit his consequence.
