Rightly so! I hope there are further consequences. Hopefully, the only job he gets is to pick up dog poop.

I can't post what would happen to that officer if he shot my Chihuahua.

Wow. I hope these dogs find a loving home after this. Apparently they were abandoned by the prior owners and this guy has just been feeding them.

im not sure if this guy took his facebook page down or i just cant find it but supposedly last night he posted the video of him shooting the dog like he was proud of it... wtf?

the whole thing is very sad, that the guy was taking care of the dogs after they were abandoned, that it all started because a neighbor pulled a gun on him and the dogs complaining about them when he was IN HIS OWN YARD, and then the officer seeming to shoot the dog out of spite. if it wasnt on video im sure the cop would have claimed the dog lunged at him etc

this is not an attack on "cops" just valid criticism of this one individual officer.

His name is Reese’s Cup. He’ll live, but after being shot in the face by a sheriff’s deputy, has a long road of healing ahead. Resse’s is a chihuahua. A dog that weighs far less than that holiday ham or turkey.

Faulkner County Arkansas Sheriff’s deputy Keenan Wallace shot the dog. The incident was recorded.

Initially, Wallace was placed on paid leave pending an investigation, but as of Saturday night, he’d been fired.

Local media spoke to the man who recorded the video. He said the dog is alive but has a shattered jaw and will require surgery.

Here’s what you need to know:
