According to the sheriff's office, 54-year-old Larry Thompson disappeared on March 8. On March 10, his black 2020 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was found parked at a campsite pull-off area on Rich Mountain Road Byway.

There is a news report out of Georgia for a man with that name and age missing in 2017 who was found later. Slight resemblance from the photos but height was off by 5 inches, so not the missing Larry.

I had mentioned earlier that I had found a case of a man with the same name who went missing some time back in Georgia. The age was right (the earlier missing LT was 46 years old in 2017. But the height was off by several inches, so I didn't think they were the same man. But in looking at the photo I found of the L.T. that went missing in 2017 (found safe) pictured on the left and this missing LT - I wonder. There is a resemblance to me but the hairline is different. Does anyone know the middle name of the currently missing Larry Thompson? I had mentioned earlier that I had found a case of a man with the same name who went missing some time back. The height was different, so I didn't think they were related. But in looking at the two photos or the LT that went missing a few years ago (found safe) and this missing LT - I wonder. Thoughts anyone?

I looked that up, too. That earlier missing man was wanted apparently by LE, and the pics of each man do seem to verify that they are the height/weight described. Which is significantly different. They do look a lot alike, though, although the earlier missing man looks kind of haggard.
