Police looking for missing Batesville woman

According to Sheriff Steve Jeffery his department needs help locating Linda Jo Stingley, 65. Jeffery said Stingley was last seen on Monday night around 9 p.m. leaving work at the Eagle Mountain Assisted Living Center in Batesville.

Sheriff Steve Jeffery says the body of 64-year-old Linda Jo Stingley was found Wednesday in a wooded area near Malvern - about 140 miles southeast of Batesville.

Some of her personal possessions had been found earlier in Bryant - which is about 110 miles southeast of Batesville and is between Batesville and Malvern.

A missing Batesville woman has been found dead in Malvern, more than 100 miles from her home. The Independence County Sheriff's office has ruled the death as homicide. Authorities say they have a person of interest in the case after the victim's credit cards were swiped in Bryant.
