Wonder if it's from a drowning victim. Athletic shoes/sneakers sometimes have very light foam in the soles and will float with the foot still in them.

Missing in Arkansas

I'm guessing since the shoe was still on the foot, it must be fairly recent. From the link I posted, I only see two people still missing within this year. Lea Robertson missing since 09/7/15 and Hayleigh Hathcock, 10/21/15, (although Hayleigh appears to be in contact with her Dad since late Nov.) We also have a thread on WS for Ebby Steppach missing since 10/24/15. Lea and Ebby have both had their vehicles found, and I do believe Lea's truck was very close to the area of this discovery.

The Arkansas River runs through Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas and flows towards the east/southeast. I was fiddling with Google Maps, and from my (very rough) estimate, the river runs less than 200 miles between Little Rock and the Arkansas-Oklahoma border. Is it possible that he/she went into the water in Oklahoma?

Human remains were found about two months ago in the Arkansas River in Lavaca, which is about 150 miles from Little Rock. It doesn't say whether a leg was missing, though.

Ebby Stepach went missing from Little Rock ~1 1/2 months ago. Another article says Ebby was confused/disoriented and said that she was lost - which immediately made me wonder if she could have fallen into the river at some point.

I thought of ebby too.

I wonder if the leg was dismembered, or if it became disarticulated as it decomposed.

She was reported missing almost a year ago...I'm wondering the same thing
