(Been looking for any history of violence...haven't found anything yet)

Let's hope they are sending everyone home so they can search for him with heat detecting helicopters. I read somewhere that the helicopters they usually use weren't available last night. Maybe they are today.

I was really disappointed to hear that that they didn't have/use infer red helicopters, per the PC yesterday (post #551) (they used "bubbletop" helicopters).
.
I thought heat detecting helicopters were standard equipment for most PDs, and usually deployed in situations like these. If they didn't have one, surely they could have rounded one up from somewhere?

I'm not dogging LE, they are obviously super committed to finding Malik, and have been dedicating themselves wholeheartedly...I just wish thermal detection / infer red was used in the initial stages.

Not sure if they ever did get a hold of any such helicopters?

FTR, we have also seen cases where a child encounters another child in the neighborhood, and there is a physical altercation. I remember a case here like that I while back...can't remember which one...anyone?

Was Malik known for acting out (possibly due to his "potential autism"?) How frustrating has this been for others in the household?

(Slightly O/T, do you guys remember in Relisha's case...There was a lot that came out, particularly about a child that had died under suspicious circumstances years before. Despite all our sleuthing, nobody here ever found that out til it was released in MSM much late into the case. My point, I think its possible here there could be something here we are missing). jmo

BBM / bringing this fwd in light of PD's recent statement re: Malik not being officially diagnosed as autistic:

The mom mentioned in a video a couple of pages back that he is afraid of loud noises and hates being near the street and cars. I suspect that he is high functioning on the spectrum, but that's just my opinion.

(Is anyone around there known to have a serious temper? Just some thoughts crossing my mind, brainstorming, I know I have to walk a fine line here, hope I'm not crossing it.)

I am still curious about the living arrangement and the number of children. I keep hearing about the older sib but do not know the age for sure or which one is mom. Is it biomom's child also?

I imagine it could be tough to be taking care of three young children that 'belonged' to another woman, day in and day out. I think it could take a toll. .

Just the dynamics of the circumstances described are unusual. She is caring for 2 young kids, one possibly autistic, and while in the process of cooking dinner, she jumps in the tub, and the dad is SLEEPING? I don't know, but it seems odd.

Did we miss this? or Did I?

SEARCY, AR - We have new details tonight into the investigation of what happened, hearing from the person who last saw Malik.

Josh Berry has the report live from where the search began Sunday night.

Malik's father's girlfriend who considers herself his step mom tells me she has been spending most of the last few days inside the police department answering questions about what happened.

She says she was told she didn't pass questions on the polygraph test

Searcy Police did confirm today that cadaver dogs have been used throughout this investigation.

Malik's father's truck was searched by the dogs just as they continue this investigation in hopes of finding Malik.

Thanx for this. Too bad stepmom was not named in the article... yet again.

Has the Bio Mom and Dads Girlfriend been interviewed recently by MSM??

I know Bio Mom did one like on Mon/Tues .. But Yesterday or Today???

I still have not seen Girlfriend/step-mom interviewed.

I don't think bio mom is involved.

Has it been stated (sorry if I missed it) what the exact custody arrangement is? Tia.

I wonder what the relationship is like between the dad and the Grandma.

This whole "young lad with a twin" reminds me a bit of Mikaeel Kular. I sincerely hope this is completely different, but the mixed reporting of autism gives me pause. I hope he wasn't pegged as the one child in the family who acted out. :(

I would think the truck would be searched as standard procedure in looking for Malik, incase he crawled in there (as we've seen in other cases...what was the name of the little boy who was found in the trunk?) But, my question is, they used dogs here, so its not like they just peeked in there and saw he wasn't there...would a warrant be needed for this? Did the dogs go in as standard procedure, or is the search with dogs in the vehicle bc of something else they might suspect? Are they just covering all their bases, or could there be more to this? Just some thoughts...

Sorry, couldn't bear to type out the details. If people are considering looking it up, be warned. :(

(O/T: The gist of Mikaeel Kular's case, with gruesome details removed / it seems she beat him to death because he was sick:

"When she originally reported her son missing, Adekoya told police officers that he had climbed on a stool to unlock the front door of their flat. This prompted a large-scale search of the surrounding area involving members of the fire service, the coastguard and dog teams in addition to hundreds of members of the public.

But inconsistencies began to emerge in her account of events and, by the Friday evening, police "suspected that all was not as she had indicated".

During a further interview she broke down and told officers: "It was an accident and I panicked. I am going to go to the jail." She then showed officers where she had concealed her son's body in the woods."
