Missing 30-year-old Beebe woman last seen dropping kids off at school

Who reported her missing at 10:30 AM and what prompted someone to report her missing so quickly?

Maybe she dropped her kids off early, like around 8 am, and was then supposed to go to work?

Still, it is a pretty quick Missing Person call.

But my daughter-in-law sometimes drops my grand baby off here, then goes to work.

If her work called and said she hadn't arrived, 3 hours later, I would call LE and report her missing immediately, because I would know something was wrong.

According to Searcy Police Sgt. Todd DeWitt, Samantha Jo Pinner, 30, was last seen dropping her children off at school in Beebe around 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Roughly two hours later, family members called SPD to 1100 W. Race Street, to file a missing person report, after several failed attempts to make contact with Pinner.

It sounds to me like her family knew she had someplace to be, and she wasn't where she planned to be.

If she had no plans and could have gone shopping or out to brunch, the family would not be calling 911.

But she probably was supposed to come back and pick up someone for an appointment or to take them to work or something, and then she wasn't answering her phone.

I am wondering if she was in a custody battle or something, which had her family on high alert?

I, too, am curious if there was a specific reason the family filed a missing persons report so soon. Always, always, always the better option to report sooner rather than later, so I commend her family for that, just wondering if there is a specific reason that relates only to Samantha for her family to be so diligent.

Recent breakup or stalker? Order of Protection against anyone?

Samantha got divorced in 2016 from the father of her children. They were married in 2009. She has sole custody. Divorce case link Docket Report Results - Not an Official Document (you could read their divorce decree at the link).

I wonder how's the relationship between her and her ex husband?

Are the kids in a private or charter school? Why would she take them to school in Beebe if they (she) lives in Searcy? I checked a map - it's a 16 mile drive and both towns have school districts.

BBM. Could be separated or divorced. Or never married even.

Authorities in White County are looking for help locating a single-mother who hasn't been seen since early Monday morning.

ETA Noticed above post she is divorced.

Many answers for the quick missing person report can be found on the Arkansas public case docket, unfortunately.

I think it might be a combination of a few things. She probably had known plans after dropping off her kids, and she didn't follow through with those plans. She hadn't arrived at her planned destination, and her family was concerned.

And she wasn't answering her cell, and on top of that, she may have had a contentious custody battle or toxic relationship?

Well, what made them call so early, though?

Something is not being told here.

Unless someone is lost say, on a hiking trail or in the water, LE usually doesn't take action like this unless there's a dangerous situation going on behind the scenes. Sometimes it seems like LE doesn't take missing adults seriously even when it is urgent.

So many normal things could have happened to her- battery died on her phone, she wanted a break from her phone, she may have turned it off while shopping or going out with a friend.

Three hours and she's been not only reported missing, but now it's in the media. So what is not being told?

I'd like to know if she is in a custody battle. That may have triggered concern.

I see why now- just as I suspected. Sounds like it is possible there is a dangerous ex involved in her disappearance.

Fingers crossed that she turns up safe and contacts someone soon.

EDITED TO ADD: I will say, even though a restraining order could be in place, doesn't mean that LE takes it seriously this fast. That piece of paper is useless for many victims unfortunately.

I live in Searcy and can shed a bit of light on a couple of subjects. Arkansas has what they call "School Choice" which allows a student to transfer to another school district as long as the parents assume the responsibility of getting the student to that school. Parents sometimes choose this for their kids if they've been in a certain district and then move but want to keep the kids in the same school, or maybe their children had some trouble with a certain school or teacher then they might choose to put their kids in a different school.

With that being said I've still not figured out where she lived for sure. There hasn't been even a good local report that gives that information. I've read one story that says family members called police to a residence in Searcy, but that makes me wonder if that is the residence of the relatives and maybe Samantha lives in Beebe (where the kids go to school).

But then another issue is this. IF she lived in Beebe and was last seen in Beebe then the Beebe Police should be where the missing persons report was filed, unless someone has reason to believe that she is missing from Searcy?

That makes sense. Thanks for the info. Actually the school district where I teach in NJ has the same (school choice), so I should have considered that. Students here have to apply and be selected, however, and they are bussed by their original districts. Has there been mention of how many kids she has? Would they all be part of the same school choice program, if that is the case?

I suppose I assumed she lived in Searcy partly because of the call to a residence there and party because of the police. The Searcy Police FB page has listed her case.

In Arkansas we have school choice which means if eligibility is met, a student can attend a PUBLIC school outside their district.
However, Beebe also has 2 private schools and 1 charter school.
So any of these could possibly be why she was dropping her kids off to school in Beebe.

The way I understand it is that she lives in Searcy and the kids go to school in Beebe. There are 2 kids.
