I’m still on the fence about this one. My first thought was that it was Dad, but now I’m starting to wonder…. If this WAS a murder/suicide, then it was brilliantly planned by CB to frame him.

On the other hand… there IS the suspicious death of his second wife.

Same, that's exactly where I am at. My biggest pause on M/S is the families account of CB having two GSW's. I mean it could happen but..

I think the key to this is getting in to CB's phone, which may be why the Secret Service is involved. That would help solidify the timeline, and perhaps offer insight into her mindset.

I'd take a good rumor at this point to help point the way.

Being the most obvious suspect hasn’t stopped a lot of spouse killers, so that doesn’t bother me.

And you’re right about the MFH thing. I can think of 5 cases off the top of my head where the kids were present during one of those, and in all of them they were unharmed.

I can’t think of one where they were injured, much less killed.

I’m extremely high on murder/suicide at this point, but if it isn’t, then there’s only one way to look.

Unless there was someone else out there who really really REALLY hated this doctor. (Like the whole family of Shawna Beallis)

That filing says Charity requested an emergency hearing following the final hearing on Dec. 2. When she reportedly didn't show up for the emergency hearing, authorities conducted a welfare check and found Charity and her two children dead at their home on Dec. 3.

While Randall's lawyer had no comment about John's efforts to intervene in the divorce case, he said Charity did not request an emergency hearing after the Dec. 2 hearing.

Who in the heck requested the welfare ck on the 3rd?

Up thread I posted That a welfare ck was made because she didn't show up on the 3rd, now Johns attorney said there was no emergency hearing was requested.
Not sure who asked for the welfare ck.

That entry was 11/20 and RB withdrew his request so that emergency hearing (entered 11/24) was never held. I think somehow her son JP might have gotten mixed up about that.

I can see why her family has been so vocal. I didn't know that the case was reopened in 2021 but with the evidence destroyed in 2014...

IF it was a murder-suicide, a despondent CB may have thought it a heroic move - knowing fingers would be pointed at her soon-to-be ex-husband, and at the same time shedding light on the possibly suspicious death of his second wife.

quite honestly, SHE could have done two shots... the first one not to kill.. just to set the stage for the second one.

I realize at this point CB is considered a victim per TOS. But IMO - she was not the victim she portrayed herself to be, nor was she an upstanding citizen. That said, there are two absolute victims in this case - the children.

IMO, we will at some point learn the welfare check was requested by friends of Charity's. Perhaps they showed up to the final hearing to support her, and were alarmed when she was not in court?

Yes; they ALL seem like a mess on closer scrutiny. What royal messed up dynamics all around. We found this to very often be the case with BPD teens. It was easy to see how they became so given their earlier years, experiences, and environments, but once adults, the crazy-making stir-the-pot behaviors are ...well.... crazy-making.

In addition to the 2 young children victims who were murdered, likely at the hands of one or the other of their own parents, I would respectfully add John to that short list of unfortunate victims. His childhood was screwed up by the drama around him and I admire him greatly for rising beyond his earlier years. May he be strengthened and guided through this final chapter in his mother's story, reach resolution in knowing he was loved in the way each of them knew how, and grow into a strong future with healthy supportive friends and family of his own creation.
