In those two months, we’ve attempted to remain in contact with Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office officials as often as reasonably possible. We last checked on any possible updates on Friday while also requesting an interview. We will let you know if that interview comes to fruition.
On Friday, SCSO made it crystal clear to me, if and when there is information to be released, it will happen. As a journalist, it’s customary to follow up on cases - something we do with all investigations and stories we report on. Just days after the gruesome discovery, SCSO shared a news release summarizing warrants and witness interviews conducted to that point, but no additional information has since been released.
As I’ve mentioned multiple times before, as frustrating as it may be for many, investigators must keep crucial details of the case close to the vest so not to taint the case. But also noteworthy, this has happened without any specific requests for help from the public since the first week of the case, via news release. The number to call SCSO with any information you think will help investigators is (479) 783-1051.
Prior to Friday, I, personally, last reached out to them weeks prior after we learned personal items belonging to the Beallises, including Charity’s necklace and photos, were found in a dumpster ~>
