Not a huge surprise.

Pevehouse said Beallis’ estranged husband was driving a Tesla vehicle at the time. According to Pevehouse, location data compiled by Tesla showed the vehicle was not near the Bonanza residence that night. He also said the estranged husband’s cell phones did not ping towers near the home.

According to Pevehouse, records from the home security alarm company show the system was deactivated around 10 p.m. by Beallis using her phone, and she had exclusive access to the system.

Pevehouse said the company’s data indicated no doors or windows were opened after the alarm was deactivated. He said when law enforcement arrived the next morning, no doors or windows were open and deputies used a key to enter. Deputies later tested each door and window and found them to be operating properly, Pevehouse said.

Wow this is one I would have thought for sure the estranged husband was involved.

Initially we were all thinking that. But the longer this went on, and the more we learned about Charity, the more likely murder/suicide became.

From your article

investigators reviewed transcripts from Beallis’ divorce and custody case, including a Dec. 2, 2025 hearing held the day before the deaths. According to Pevehouse, the transcripts indicate Beallis sought reconciliation with her estranged husband

I'm having a hard time believing this but I will have to rely on the transcripts.

This is a hard one. Having worked through social services with teenage girls in crisis, almost all of whom had borderline personality disorder from their early traumatic experiences, I can concede that this may have been a murder suicide. The manipulative actions and using of people for self interests exhibited by Charity through the years look to be fairly consistent. She may have determined to off herself and her kids awhile back if she didnt get the settlement she wanted and the last minute negotiation to save her marriage may have been cold feet. Then the cold hard reality that "her" children would spend more time with their father than with her may have been the last straw. What an insane maddening last manipulation to murder her own offspring rather than adjust to reality. The Darwin prize goes to those who can adapt and adjust and Charity could not. As infuriating as it is, I do feel great sadness for the little girl that Charity once was before life corrupted her innocence.
