I would like to know When she started using Kelly Lee Carr....one of the friends of mine she met in 88 or 89 is a man named Kelly Lee Carr and they should be the exact same age that's why I ask ,,,,and have tried to figure it out....its possible she could have met him before too he had a relative who was frequently arrested for the same thing ad EDJD in fact she lived many years in LR! small world and all


oh and note she did not have a accent like a NC girl would , she sounds exactly like me ...non accent with a tiny Texas twang now and then, I would bet Arkansas , OK, LA, or TX was home base based on that alone!

Interesting Sloane! Do you think she could have stolen your friend's ID? Maybe not photo ID, but she could use his name and SSN for a job or something.

Tyrone gave Gail $ 100 and could not get the VW Volkswagen to work she was ready to get to Texas and get to work. IMO they were in Arkansas (Gail - Virginia, Arkansas, California ?) 2 photos of EDJD by a car neither were a VW

•DM stated they had been in FL, she also commented that she didn’t think EDJD had much of an accent.
•Detective located a letter to the FBI stating her name given was Kelly Lee Carr (24) and was wanted in Virginia and along the east coast for bank robberies.

•JM said he met EDJD mother and sister they lived in Florida
•EDJD told friend in Little Rock she was a run away from Florida
•JM told DM that they had been in Florida
•Detectives believe EDJD’s pimp was Tyrone in Florida

Researching further into Little Rock and the east coast states, found several articles in regards to the influx of runaways or "throw away's" in Virginia Beach as stated by the article. Very disturbing, no one is a throw away in this world, very saddening.

Virginia Beach, the largest and one of the fastest growing cities in the state, has the greatest number of teen-age runaways of any Virginia locality.

In 1986, police recorded 1,652 cases of local teen-age runaways, up from 1,151 in 1984, police said. So far this year, statistics indicate a similar increase.

In Fairfax County, which has almost twice the population of Virginia Beach, 1,544 runaway cases were reported in 1986. Statewide, 10,686 cases were reported. Officials said the statistics reflect cases of repeated runaway attempts by the same children.

Arcadia is probably a 45 minute drive east on interstate from Shreveport and about an hour drive south of El dorado. I've just wondered if she could have run from there. I think New Bethany Home for Girls may have been mentioned at least once as a possible school that Walker County Jane Doe may have attended, but I may be remembering wrong, so don't quote me on that. I don't think I've seen it brought up re: El Dorado Jane Doe, though.

I think you're talking about Carol Ann Cole, she was maybe involved with New Bethany Home for Girls.

Thanks!! You're right. Carol Ann Cole was the one that I remember hearing about New Bethany for the first time. I didn't know if I couldn't mention her name. Just given the proximity to El dorado and Shreveport where EDJD had been, as well as similar facilities in Tx and Fl, it just makes me curious....and sad. I would love to see EDJD identified.

If you keep up with the thread one time EDJD gave the name Cathrine Marie which is rather close to Cathleen Marie.

Interesting, I looked up the woman listed in that family tree with the initials LS (and also LM - married name?) on social media and she has some very similar facial features to EDJD. She seems to have been arrested in 2014 and her social media page was last updated then so I don't know if she is currently incarcerated maybe. Was there anything else you found Maybelline, other than the names, that you feel could connect this family to EDJD?

? The UID is a victim and as a victim we don't allow denigrating her here, no matter what she may have done. We have NO evidence she STOLE a Bible from the family. That family may have given it to her. Or the family might have given the Bible to Good Will when someone died and she bought it there. And as far as her family disowning her...I don't know if you have ever followed long time UID cases but one was solved recently-- Lori Erica Kennedy of TX who was ID'd as Kimberly McLean of PA. Lori/Kimberly's family never disowned her for anything and had always wondered what happened to her but she was of legal age when she left home in the 1980's and the police would not file a report. Her mother is in her 80's and never gets online and no one from her family saw any of the news stories about her. They had to be found with DNA and genealogy. Point being, we cannot assume that El Dorado Jane Doe's family is not missing her and wondering what happened just because they may not have filed a missing report. Many missing juvenile reports also used to "expire" when the person turned 18, especially if they were deemed a run away. For all we know EDJD's family filed a report and it is no longer active and her only living relatives could be in a nursing home and don't use the internet. Let's not make negative assumptions about her or her family. Please be kind.

Has anyone tried looking through message boards for adopted people looking for their mother? If it's true that EDJD had two children maybe we should focus efforts on trying to find her kids? They may not even know what she looks like and wouldn't be thinking to check a board like this. Just an idea, I have no idea where to check or how to start on something like that.

With people who went missing decades ago, sometimes it takes a family member who was a child when they went missing and grew up missing them to reactivate their case and try to get the word out. The problem for us is if we find old news stories about a missing person who is not in any database today we can't always tell if that person was ever found or not.

Absolutely correct Gardener that is how it happened it took a family member to inquire on the status of the case. Have (4) newspaper articles of persons missing in the 80's unsure if they were located or not none are any database I have come across thus far.
