The 78 and 79 yearbooks are available in Classmates for Franklin HS. She's not in either. The school did not have a Freshman class, so if she was in 10th grade in November of 78, she would not have been a student at Franklin HS during the 77-78 school year. She would have been in Junior HS. And since Nov 78 was only a couple of months into the 78-79 school year, perhaps she disappeared before the class took photos during her Sophomore year.

There doesn't appear to be any sort tribute page for her in the 81 book either, as there are sometimes for students who have died.

Hi Carl, thanks for looking that up! I wonder if she had moved to Tennessee recently from somewhere else and wasn't in the school long enough to make the yearbooks for the previous years?

She wouldn't be in the books for the earlier years because the High School covered only 10th to 12th grades. The freshman class was probably in Franklin Junior HS, so that is probably where she was in the 77-78 School year. Classmates doesn't have very many Junior HS yearbooks, and they don't have Franklin Jr High yearbooks.

Oh, I understand what you're saying now. Thanks for trying to find her picture! Maybe if Lori/Laurie's case gets some more coverage someone who remembered her will have a picture. I tried searching Ancestry for her or her relatives but had no luck finding anything of value.

Ok well maybe we should just submit her based on physical description. It sounds like it might be tricky to get more info on her. I will submit her as soon as I get a chance.

This is sooo the case id want to see solved. It drives me nuts because we have photos of her, we have people who interacted with her... but no name?? Someone knows, someone is missing a mom, a daughter, (a sister maybe). I hope in my time on earth we figure it out!!

I hear you but from the Kimberly McLean/FLEK case we do know that Lori was one of the most common girls' names for that era so there's every chance. I do always feel like EDJD's real name will turn out to be a variation of one of the aliases that she used though.

I came across this image on a flicker page...if someone has posted this already sorry for reposting.. But when I found it.. made me think that some family knew who she was but never claimed her or did not want to be associated with her who knows maybe she did not want to be associated with them..
.. But what I found interesting its labeled(Arkansas and Emily) and the person who has the account seems to be from Florida...and the girl on the right looks a lot like our jane doe.
If I should not be posting this here because its someone's Flicker please delete it...I just thought I would share that it is possible that people do know who she is.

I'm pretty sure this is the flicker account of one of our members here and she used that to suggest missing person Emma Vaughn as a possible match earlier in this thread (See post #220): http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-1991-2&p=8746654&highlight=Emily#post8746654

Lol...I actually remembered one of the other pictures there as being posted here on websleuths and then I searched this thread for "Emily" and found the previous discussion of Emma Vaughn. Emma has been submitted by one of our posters previously, but she is not listed as a rule out. If you feel strongly about her as a possible match you could always try submitting her again.

I'm sure back in the thread this has been discussed but where do you all think Jane Doe came from? I don't believe she was from El Dorado, but with all her traveling and strange notes she could be from so many places. I wonder what her voice sounded like, I feel like she was from the south, not the north.

I feel like it was Dallas , or close and she had a not much of an accent ( but I don't think I have one either) an she had a very sweet voice, not a harsh type person at all .

I shared the poster on an Arkansas historical page... got some people saying they would ask relatives and friends who used to work/live in the El Dorado area. The post was shared about 35 times, so here's to maybe getting some new eyes on the case.

Did they ever conduct a pollen or hair strand test for EJD? Sorry, I've been reading so many jane/john doe cases I'm getting confused.

I don't think so and her remains were cremated :(
