GUILTY Arizona girl, 2, left in car by father on 109-degree day and is found dead #2 (guilty plea, father found dead 5 November 2025 before sentencing)

So will he be incarcerated on Nov 5, then reside in jail awaiting the sentencing on Nov 21; or does he get out to spend another 17 days at home without restraint, with the assumption he will show up for sentencing and then enter prison for something like 20 years?

What happens if his wife is sick or injured and claims she needs him for assistance with the children?

I honestly don't understand how far his special treatment is going to be extended.
Christopher will be turning himself in on Nov. 5, with sentencing scheduled for Nov. 21. I hope this means he will be wearing prison stripes for his final court date.

Must be lots of fun at their house this weekend between his sad tears and her mad tears. My heart goes out to those poor kids. I wonder if Erika will be there on 11/21? To my knowledge she hasn’t been to any of his hearings in person.

I’ve been compulsively checking the KVOA site every day, expecting to see he has disappeared prior to turning himself in. Hoping he’s too narcissistic to become a family murderer/suicide.

I wonder if they even now really know where he is. Maybe he's already absconded! If that's his plan, it would be smarter to run off early to get a bigger head start on them.

But imo, there's really nowhere he can run to. Even in Mexico. Even there, since his charge is murder, and he's already guilty, there's no doubt they would extradite him as soon as they saw him, and his face has been heavily publicized. And how would he get in anyway? If he used his own passport, wouldn't he be flagged and stopped at the border? Or would that not happen until after he has his last court date?

I would have hoped that one of the stipulations for him returning to the home instead of sitting in jail awaiting the Nov 21 sentencing would be that he would turn over his passport, assuming he had one.

I'd be gone after 5 beers in just those few hours. I haven't seen how ES knew he had driven 2 kids home while drunk, or that he had drunk driven 138 mph with PS in the car. I wonder if he just made sure she found out these things to test her. Worse and worse behavior while her goal was not to upset him.

Couples play creepy games. Maybe he was so checked out, just thumbing his nose, daring her to do something about it.
This makes me wonder if CS actually resented and hated ES because of his being dependent on her and that his neglect/abuse and ultimately his murdering sweet PS was a way to “punish” ES - whether consciously or subconsciously?

Oppositional Defiance Disorder and passive aggressive all rolled into one package. I'd not be at all surprised if this was his dynamic from early childhood on. OR... maybe he learned it from a role model....

Maybe, someday, we will see the full story

I don't think it can be overestimated, the resentment felt when the scale is so unbalanced. When one person is the go getter while the other performs so dangerously far below expectations. And when the go getter is also the natural family adhesive.... Don't throw the bricks, imo it is particularly hard when the whole arrangement also goes against what communities expect. I have been (younger days) the strong one who immediiately got a job after fishing season - any job - giving my (less educated, less job experienced) spouse time to look around. Etc etc etc. Boy is there more where that came from.

Point is that it takes 2 to tango, here she is carrying the load, high achiever paired with someone who watches porn at his "play station". (Sorry I don't know what they are, I guess some aptly named gaming gizmo). Has his own man cave with all the toys, has her to rub his back and insult the cops as he's carried off for baby murder. But it got there in increments, he had no boundaries, she gave none either.

Then throw in all the possible disorders you refer to, what a recipe for disaster.

My opinion only:

We don't know how C treated E behind closed doors or why she made the choices she made. Being intelligent, educated, and with a fancy job doesn't make it any easier psychologically to deal with certain things. Certainly it gives you more access to resources and financially the ability to leave...but psychologically?

The family just really needs to get away from him, so...may the judge take that into consideration.

Unfortunately the judge seems to have taken a (flawed imo) view that the family need to be with him so far.

welp, it's the 3rd. wonder when/where CS is expected to turn himself in. Any bets on whether he shows or must be dragged there kicking and screaming and throwing a tantrum?

That is a good question. MOO is that the day he pled guilty to murder, should have been the day he went to his new home.

They may say he is not a danger to society, but who knows?! Geez, time to do whatever you want, may as well, what will they do? Lock you up?! Going there anyway. I think that is super scary to me. Talk about a loose cannon.

The leniency is off the charts.

I found the court calendar notation that it will be Nov 5 at 9am

So 1 hr (nov 21)presumably for the prosecution summary of crime, the defendant's admission of guilt, the victims' impact statements, and sentencing. Is 1 hour enough? What else is there? Pleas from defense for mitigation? Poor guy, was bullied in 9th grade, whatever.

I haven't seen many entire sentencings, just dramatic excerpts. In the Watts case they had to take time to get him to sign and verbally swear to a document verifying that he knew the prosecution had sufficient evidence to convict him of the murders. Due to his lack of explaining in court how he did everything. Iirc. (Allocution??)

I thought that the sentencing was on November 21, for some reason.

Okay, on November 5, CS goes back to court, to decide if he goes to prison that day. And he is sentenced on November 21.

Good grief. The court will determine if CS goes to prison on November 5?! Seriously?! This is SO ridiculous. He pled guilty to murder. That would mean go directly to jail, do not collect $200.

I think that's a mistake in reporting. Imo nov 5 is when they finalize the plea deal, a technicality, then sentencing is later, already scheduled in this case. It's only 5 minutes, a status conference Wednesday per @steeltowngirl post above.

Just enough time to cinch the handcuffs.

Wait so even after all that, he still may not even be going to prison until 11/21? Wtf

Why is he been given so many passes that I don't believe others would have been giving?

First, he's allowed to live in the home where he murdered a child and there are minor witnesses. He locked her in a hot car with no means of escape!

Then, he's allowed to leave court to come back for sentencing. I thought that only happened in federal cases. And I see where he was allowed to vacation in Hawaii with the family earlier this year!🤬

Too late to erase, now I think I was wrong. Hope not. What an abomination if he is free until sentencing

I’ll never understand why this nasty man received special snowflake treatment by the judge.

The only other case I can recall of a murderer getting special treatment is Marci Kitchen, the California mother who ran over and killed her daughter and daughter’s friend while driving drunk. She too was allowed to go on vacation while awaiting trial.

Why are children still regarded as property with lesser status? What if Chris had locked his sleeping grandmother in the car? Would the judge have been so lenient?

What’s horrific IMO in this case is how quickly Parker’s parents shifted focus from her to the murderer. Mom reduced her death to a mistake. WTH? It seems like the neighbors cared more.

Put Chris in prison where he can’t harm his surviving children or kill someone while drunk driving. He’s a danger to society and needs to be locked up.

Argh! JMO
