ES should have divorced him before the 10 year mark. They would all have been better off.
Married 10 years. Great. He will get out of prison just in time to collect on HER social security.

Although, if Erika dumps his sorry behind she may not have to pay alimony, so as her income increases the surviving girls would benefit, not Chris.

Ultimately the court decides on spousal support and considers all the circumstances. For one thing, if Chris does have a degree or any specialized training he may have to suck it up and earn money himself.

Plus, considering he’s incarcerated on second degree murder and child abuse the court may refuse alimony. Arizona honors no fault divorces but there’s no automatic system for support that I can see. Of course I’m not a lawyer so it’s just what I’ve read. So JMO

When I got divorced in AK, unfortunately I unknowingly did it about 5 minutes before the ten year mark. So i got nothing, SS told me that I wouldn't have received any part anyway if his current family included minor children. So these kids in AZ are going to be 25-40 when he gets out. But she should look into that, make sure there might be a way to exclude him. Anyway division of assets will be bigger. Also there are private programs not involved with SS. And in this case she might be planning to cover for him. Sheesh, he could be almost 70. Average life expectancy for men in usa 75.8

CS can’t say he needs alimony to become self-sufficient, nor to maintain his standard of living. Prison’s gonna take care of that for him. :)

Thank you, @abyquinn.

I don’t know how exactly the restitution will work, but I hope Erika is forced to give money to his eldest daughter, her very much abused step-daughter.

JMO

He is a hopeless addict. I can understand that ES was in love with him, had a kid from a coke addict, but between kid nr 2 and 3 she should have made a different decision. This being said, whatever mistakes she made, you still can’t but feel very sorry for a mom who lost her youngest child in such a horrible way. With all her E’s support of CS…she did lose a daughter. I hope she’ll be able to see one day what a useless 🤬🤬🤬 she got. But I wish her to recover, if anyone can, from the horrible trauma.

This absolutely sent a shiver down my spine. This was TWO MONTHS before Parker died!

where is that from?

Me too, please.

Hoping the surviving daughters get the help they need, ASAP when they need it.

Absent CS, they should have room to flourish.

Right in the plea arrangement, it states "no probation is allowed and if the defendant is out of custody at the time of the plea agreement the state requests that he be taken into custody immediately.

But CS walked out of the courtroom! Seriously?!

I wonder if that’s something the defense negotiated as a condition of CS taking the plea—that he’d be allowed to remain free as a bird until the sentencing. I have to say I am shocked that there’s been no public pushback against the EXTREME leniency shown to CS by the judge, up to and including her apparent unwillingness to enforce this condition of the agreement—at least not that I’ve seen. I am cynically thinking she’s going to give him the lightest possible sentence in the cushiest, most conveniently located lockup available.

I know! I wonder what came immediately before this. What was the "this" that he was referring to when he said, "I think this is part of why marriages fail..."

ETA And I also wonder if there was more that followed. What did she say back to him??

This is HORRIFIC!

Two months BEFORE he killed Parker?????

What father muses about the perceived emotional impact of his child dying????

I wonder if somewhere in the back of his reptilian brain, he knew he might cause the death of one of his children through his actions, and was trying to prepare Erika for that outcome. Trying to gaslight her beforehand.

I don’t know.

MOO is that he wanted a boy. Parker is an androgynous name, maybe they had that picked out for their "boy". I don't think he cared about her at all. Callous.

CS...won't be checking out Nordstroms anniversary sale items.

He seemed checked out to me. He probably didn't think of PS in the 3.5 hours he left her, sorry but true, roasting. Checked out of the family life, tired of having a wife more responsible, energetic, smarter than he. Maybe it was because they were all girls, more likely in my mind he had no sense of self worth and didn't get vibes from the community that showed they respected him. His own fault and hers. She should have stepped up and said hey get a job, we'll get a nanny plus grammy. He should have volunteered to work.

Ps I'm not ranting on mr .mom set ups. It can work. But not if the breadwinner slaves away and mr mom sloughs around and endangers the kids.

Where is he currently residing? Hopefully, he has no contact with his children.
