This…not surprised but still 😡 😡 😡 😡 He is still trying to put as much time at home before trial and prison as he can. So the week before trial we have change of venue. Last month his attorney said he wanted Christopher seen by a psychiatrist because he has memory issues, he’s had 15 months to do so but just mentioned it in the 11th hour. The Holidays are almost here, the courts slow almost to a standstill between Thanksgiving & New Years. If they give him this change of venue we’re probably looking at April or May, maybe longer, depending on where he goes. If he was sitting in jail while waiting for trial he’d be chomping at the bit to get it started.
Imo psychiatrists are not the first choice to evaluate "memory issues" Would it be that simple.

They can make a diagnosis. But treatment would go to neuro-psych.

Great, new "Get Out of Jail Free" card, "I have Attention Deficit Disorder". Which brings up the burning question for me, why didn't your wife, a licensed physician, do anything? And why did she let such a babbling incompetent watch her children?!

Assuming health insurance is necessary, In Alaska it would go: GP---- Neuro for mri, apoe testing, epilepsy ekg, alz/ Lewy blood tests, day long cognitive evals, then referrals to functional med for supplements, speech therapy, and yes finally in that team a psychiatrist but mainly to admin. the whammo meds. Memory problems would be well defined before the psychiatrist gets into it. No way would Aetna, UHC, or medicare approve someone trying to use insurance to go straight to a psych because he's forgetting things. In Alaska. Sorry, I'm helping a family member thru this depressing swamp. In the context of claiming ptsd or whatever his scam is, I can't believe that would be an approved flow chart. Imo

The jury listens to evidence. The trip to Hawaii, is not evidence related to the crime. The prosecution could not separate the defendant from his family, he is still "innocent" until proven guilty. And personally, I don't think that the younger children will be called as witnesses by either team.
But in similar cases the parent responsible for the death of the child was arrested immediately and placed in jail
I’m hoping that he gets what he deserves but I’m a bit concerned on the defense team’s tactics and I also think that the judge who was so leniant towards him should, at least, be fined

If his behaviors the day of Parker’s death are a picture of his memory issues an Alcohol & Substance Abuse Specialist could provide much insight into his problems.

yeah if defense trots out the ole memory issue thing I surely do hope the prosecution can then counter that with an expert on drug and alcohol addiction and the role those items can play in memory issues.

when was the defense's motion for change of venue filed? Personally I feel like it is a bit late to be requesting that, unless the motion was filed months ago and is only now being heard after the settlement plea conference went south.
Defense filed for change of venue on 10/2/25.

The difference between some hot car deaths and this case is that CS didn't just forget Parker was in the car and go into work or an appointment, accidentally losing sight that she was ever in the car at all. Sadly, that happens.

He intentionally left her in the car in the sun, facing west. as she was sleeping, (so he says). He got busy eating taco dip and surfing the web, probably buzzed. Then he lied to police about when he came home.

He needs to do prison time.

The trial start date of Monday October 27 must be so much pressure on CS and ES, and rightfully so.

I agree that we are going to see all sorts of excuses, fakes, lies and anything to get the pressure off of him, knowing full well that any delay may result in a new trial date well into 2026

Meanwhile, he would be out, apparently with few stipulations or binding conditions. Heck, maybe even another Hawaiian vacation.

I truly hope the Change of Venue is dismissed on Friday.
Fingers crossed but if the leniency shown Christopher by this Court including denying the $1M bond requested by the State, the lack of monitoring, moving to a different county during the pretrial period, living with two witnesses and a Hawaiian vacation! doesn’t give me much hope.

IMO that is super late in the game. While technically so long as the request is made prior to the start of trial it it considered timely, in most instances, an issue with the venue is discovered and addressed well before the last weeks before trial.

The settlement conference didn't go as the defendant wished and this is the defense response IMO. There is no reason to change the venue and this motion should be denied MOO. This defendant has already been given special treatment and nobody is marching in front of the courthouse, or protesting in front of his residence. So on what grounds is this venue change being requested I wonder.

The press is barely covering this story anymore. Sometimes I think we in the true crime community are the only ones who are concerned with justice for Parker.

Yeah, also, it’s a little concerning that his defense could trot out experts to testify that Chris fell victim to Forgotten Baby Syndrome or Swiss Cheese Memory. When police interviewed him at home his timeline was off and in theory anyway his defense could argue that it was off due to a memory issue.

I know in some states a defense based on intoxication due to drugs or alcohol isn’t legally acceptable but I don’t know what flies or doesn’t in Arizona. I’m hoping that none of this would be used to get Chris out of his just punishment but we’ve already seen a judge who appears to be sympathetic towards him.

IMO a jury won’t be as sympathetic towards him but will they take pity on his wife and children? I see justice served if he spends time in prison and consider it a blessing to remove this toxic man from potentially harming another child. Will a jury feel the same?

As health professional, imo the wife had the duty to report child endangerment. I hope a jury doesn't take pity on her. His alleged driving under the influence at what, 134 mph with her baby in the car?

IMO if he had such extraordinary memory issues to the degree that he “forgot” his dying child, why didn’t those “memory issues” surface when he accessed his video games and the “adult content?” You need a functioning memory, I would suppose, to go online and find that stuff and to remember how to play whatever games.

Yeah, that’s so crazy. If ES knew of similar behavior in anyone else she’d be required as a mandated reporter to inform LE. So how exactly is it that she’s allowed to simply text her husband on multiple occasions to stop his dangerous behavior?

It stinks. Has to be a delay tactic. The potential jury members would already have been summoned for the 10/27 trial. So either they'd have to travel to another venue, or the court would have to summon a new jury.

I hope the judge denies it.

Interesting. So whats left? Some idiopathic memory problem? TBI? Where is his defense going?
His defense will have him weeping in court, no no no no no. Oh right, that was no no they were arresting his azz.

New plea deal being offered by the state hearing tomorrow!

Editing to add I’m not surprised. Seeing everything the judge has done to point this trial in Christopher’s favor, their hands have been tied every inch of the way IMO I think the jury would/will still send him away for a very long time but I understand them offering him a deal and I only hope it gives some Justice for Parker.

Maybe he can just take the stand and say it again.
His own words - 'I'm a piece of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addict’.
