Yes. I can start my car with my fob or an app on my phone. However, in both instances, the car will only stay running for 10 minutes.Newer cars have remote starts so you can leave them running and also locked. MOO

Makes sense. Stops you running out of fuel or battery if you activated it by accident, and stops you topping yourself.Yes. I can start my car with my fob or an app on my car. However, in both instances, the car will only stay running for 10 minutes.
Right. And probably carbon monoxide poisoning if it’s in your garageMakes sense. Stops you running out of fuel or battery if you activated it by accident, and stops you topping yourself.

Accidental, yes, true. CO poisoning on purpose is what I meant by topping yourself.Right. And probably carbon monoxide poisoning if it’s in your garage
It all depends on the brand. I used to have a Viper remote start security system and I could program how long my car would run before shutting off, my fob would beep when it was about to turn off, and I could prevent that by resetting the timer. I can’t remember but I’m almost sure there was also a feature to leave the car running after you’ve been driving, without the keys in it, for instances where you would want to leave a dog or a person in the car while you (the driver) runs into a store, etc. This was an after market system I had installed at a local car stereo shop.Yes. Mom is easily forgiving because she likely left her in the car as well, and is thinking about the burden of taking care of 2 children (whom she rarely saw) all on her own.If the wife was aware of him doing this previously, WHY is she so forgiving now? I don't get it. It's a 'mistake' if it happens once. But it's a bad habit if it was an ongoing pattern of child abuse---which is what that is---child abuse to leave a baby in a car on a 109 degree day.
Mom is an anesthesiologist according to one of the posted articles. She knows exactly what to take, in what quantity to get her through the day. Many of the stronger mood drugs can give a flat/emotionless affect. That would be my guess as to how she was able to talk on her husband’s behalf about this tragedy without breaking down. MOOThat was interesting. Mom was so calm and professional. Maybe her medical background. Dad, only while she was speaking, looked like he was having convulsions.

I know DFCS/DSS has got to be involved. This calls for immediate removal of the other children! They are in danger being this was a normal thing for both parents to do.
I wonder if this exact same scenario happened to a family from a lower socioeconomic level, if the father would have been released without a bond.
All MOO.

where is the information in MSM that she rarely saw her children - please provide the link TY
BBM.Her father claimed that he left her in the car in the driveway, with the engine and a/c on, and when he came back about half an hour later, it had somehow turned itself off, and the car had overheated and she had died.
I have a really bad feeling about this one, and that this isn't what really happened. I realize we have to let authorities do their jobs.

Bbm.Yes, and could this father guarantee the little girl wouldn’t wake up while he was in the house, oblivious to what was happening in the car? Imagine her waking up and crying for her daddy to come get her? How could any parent choose to take that chance, and for what? A few minutes to do do… what? I’m sick over this.
Has he done this before?

LE apparently wondered the same thing as the search warrant included a PS5, gaming controllers and a drink sitting on a coffee table among other items.@tlcya : That third "No" is interesting, imo.
Also add -- if I was his wife-- I wouldn't be calling Parker's death, "...a big mistake...".
With the murder charges ... I expect LE know more than we do !
Omo.
Three hours is a long time to leave any child in the daytime, unattended.
It would be interesting to know what was on his computers, or if he'd been doing some drinking/drugs/etc. ?
Maybe some tv time, or a nap ?
But still.

3 hours is a long time. IMO, this family routinely left this baby in the car for extended amounts of time. Hence leaving her with her tablet to keep her occupied. I wonder if there is any evidence of rashes, indicating her sitting in soiled undergarments for long periods of time. I just can't rationize their thinking this was ever okay.@tlcya : That third "No" is interesting, imo.
