Arrest in JBR case part 2

What if it was JOHN that the guy was obsessed with...what if they met during a business trip and the guy just wouldn't go away. He was jealous of John's business success and killed JonBenet to get him so depressed that he'd quit Access Graphics and move to New Zealand? What if he found the video of JonBenet in her cowgirl outfit and remembered the cowboy outfit he had as a child and that reminded him of the horse he asked for and didn't get. And then, what if, he really decided to leave the country because there are too many horses here.

We could what if with our imaginations all day. Can we stick with the facts?
well excuuuuuuuuuuse me :hand:

MSNBC says Kerr has told police he drugged JBR then had intercouse with her. Maybe that's why he fed her the pinaple, could be Rebinol(sp) the date rape drug, could this be evidence that was withheld that conviced the authorities he's confession is true?

Where's the evidence that someone "had sex" with her?

This is really getting crazy.

How many of you were once five-year-old girls? If a stranger woke you up in the middle of the night and told you to come downstairs, would you have just gone along with it and gone quietly?

Little kids get SCARED when they wake up and find someone in their room who's not mommy or daddy.

She wasn't like most children in the sense that she was very comfortable around strangers as she had been used to performing in front of them. Additionally, we don't know if she knew this guy or if he had placed himself around her on various occassions before the night of the murder.

I also think back to Jessica Lunsford - she went with John Couey without making a sound. I, myself, questioned that. But kids can be intimidated and frightened into doing things we don't expect.

On a different note, the PC was quite a bummer. Not sounding quite so sure at this point. The statement about picking her up from school is concerning. It could mean that he didn't actually have anything to do with this. It could mean that he has so many victims that he's confusing them. It could mean that he's throwing doubt out there to dictate this "game". I don't know. I'm just hoping and praying that this is the guy. He sure seems capable, if nothing else right now.

How sad that a mother died knowing the whole world thought she murdered her beautiful little daughter. Her cancer probably came back due to stress add that with a broken heart and I am surprised she made it the ten years she did.

I think it's more sad that she won't be here when this whole Karr thing that was orchestrated by her people falls apart - and the finger goes back to pointing right where it belongs - on her.

Umm, AutumnBorn this is what we do here....we hash things out. We have some, facts we speculate. If this was only a discussion of the 'Facts' (and that depends who you talk to on what day) then there would be no discussion and it would be boring. JMHO

But he says he picked her up from school and took her back to the basement - except there was no school that day and JonBenet was at home with her parents until they went over to the White's house for a party.

So WTF?

Not always, there was the story a few weeks back about a little girl, maybe 5 or 6, who was awakened by a stranger that broke into her family home, she confronted him and told him he better leave and he did. She pretty much walked him back out the back door he came in through. It was amazing. I will see if I can find the story somewhere.

This is what he 'reportedly' said, none of us have heard that come out of his mouth. I think this is getting mixed up, he may have said at one time he had picked her up from school....someone else said this somewhere too. I think the Thai people are just not communicating what he said right and it's all getting mixed up.

Have you personally heard this statement from his mouth? I have not.

He is one scary looking guy! I agree with the posters who mentioned how sickly he looks. Yick.

And the picture of him in the blue polo and the khaki pants makes him look like he has a short, short body.

Thank you for replying to me! Sometimes I feel so left out in this forum and do everything I can just to keep up with the posts!

I think I'll just sit here all day and read posts to find out what people think of Karr. I was just interested in how the posters felt about this guy...especially the posters who are on this forum all the time and know everything there is to know about this case.

I'm so confused and wondered if the regular posters here would just give the rest of us their opinions in an easy to read format because I'm having a hard time keeping up. In this forum, it's often hard to even be a part of the discussion even if you know the major key players of the case and a lot of the background information. SO much more has gone on here that many of us were not a part of. I don't mean this in a bad way at all--I just mean that it can be frustrating for the regulars to help the newbies get up to date on what's going on. It's been easier for me to just go through archives and try to wade through it.

Anyway, thanks for replying to me. I'll just keep trying to keep up and find out what people are thinking. It's just all so confusing!

I'll reply to you:D Even when I have nothing to say.

Actually, I was thinking about how this guy knows everything about the case, but the information that is being leaked that he said, doesn't jive with the findings.
I have no idea if this is the guy or not, but assuming he is..wouldn't it make sense to reveal inaccurate info to divert suspicion if he is now backpeddaling his confession?
He knows there was no chloroform found in her body, yet it is reported that he said he drugged her.

Well, I just smelled cigarette smoke coming through my window A/C unit. I'm afraid there is a window peeper but hopefully it's my neighbor even though I don't think the smoke would smell that fresh and up close at 2:30 am. My husband isn't concerned though. I think this has been posted already but wanted to mention it again since the thread is so long. Morgan Nick was missing in 1995 from Arkansas, age 6. The sketch of the suspect sure looks like Karr.

That's what I thought, too. I am wondering about a lot of unsolved cases. I really want to know where he has been and when over his life.

Undoubtedly Jon Mark Karr is a person that needs to be taken off of the street before he does any more damage. Whether he is guilty in the Jon Benet killing seems somewhat like a long shot, but at least it will put his DNA in CODIS (?), and allow for prosecution. I pity the poor parents who may have hired him as a Nanny/teacher.

There are a good number of people who want the Ramseys to be guilty. As such, they process Karr's confession through a very selective prism. I followed this case in great detail from the initial reporting until April of 2003, when Judge Carnes issued a ninety plus page report that came as close to exonerating the Ramseys as one could expect.

Nevertheless, I have, seemingly forever, read posts regarding how the Ramsey's story didn't add up, how sick the Ramsey's looked (I can't figure out why they would have looked sick) and how their behavior betrayed their guilt.

Karr confessed. Now I am reading from how his story doesn't add up, how sick he appears (can't figure out why confessing to a murder would cause him to look sick) and how his behavior undermines a credible confession.

In my mind, more than a few people used tea-leaf reading to conclude that one or more of the Ramseys were guilty of Jon Benet's murder, and now they choose to use the same self-serving tea-leaf readings to undercut Karr's murder confession.

This could be why tea-leaf readers are not relied on by our Courts to assess evidence. Nothwithstanding that truth, you need to understand that many people here doubt that Karr murdered Jon Benet, because they hold tightly to pre-conceived beliefs that one or more of the Ramseys were involved in her murder. Thus, in reading how people feel, you need to determine whether or not a selective prism is being used to assess Karr as the likely murderer.
