Ok...I'm getting my news from KLFY news station. They have a crew on site in Lawtell.

Yeah, it looks like they are being wishy-washy, reporting someone in custody, then an "arrest" now saying no arrest...guess they are scared to say TOO much at the moment. Either way, tomorrow we will know more from LE. But maybe we can find out more today via CajunNet!

For you non-locals, Lawtell is north of Lafayette, west of Opelousas and north of Church Point, along US 190.

Lawtell is near Opelousas approximately 30 mile north northwest of Lafayette.

Someone commented on KLFY's FB that the person arrested may be the same person in a truck who didn't want to pull over around Port Barre today? Wonder if we could find info about a chase??

I went back and edited my post to include more specifics. Searching Google Maps now to see if I can spot the locale, based on the pics KLFY provided.
