Ok, I've tried to decipher it, and sorry I'm a geek, but what does TOS mean?
Terms of Service, also known as :tos:

Little on the "who Dat" is a language spoken in New Orleans taken from "Yat" as in "where y'at?"... It REALLY IS a form of the Hoboken, Jersey, Bronx accent with a "southern twist" made famous in a book "Confederacy of Dunces" which is suppose to be made into a movie. Every time they have tried to make it...the lead actor has succumbed to death (John Belushi, John Candy, Chris Farley) then when funding was available & a "live one was found (John Goodman) Katrina came a'calling & hauling...so now it's STILL being looked at but they want Will Ferrell (I see Jack Black)...sorry off the subject but felt the need to lighten the mood a little with useless trivia.

Yikes. Hope Will decides against it!! I worked with him on Other Guys. Great guy...hate to see him be the next cursed actor!

What I heard is that his truck was the truck at the motel in Texas and he claimed his truck was stolen in Texas to the car dealership on Johnston that he was trying to buy a new truck from. Remember also someone saw the truck being escorted through Lafayette by six police cars.

This seems odd because didn't A.C.I. mention that the truck reported at the motel in Texas was not related, spoke to owners, works offshore, etc. :o

There was a truck that was found with the front end burnt at a daiquiri place the week after her bike was found.

Haha. Seriously....I had no idea! I am not a sports person...never heard it before.

Lol. ok. i always have to ask because this is an example of how people trick me. My uncle lives in serious cajun country, Abbeville, LA and he just told me at Easter that his neighborhood association fined him for not knocking down the little crawfish mud holes in his front yard. I TOTALLY believed him. We were talking about how in Indiana they fine you for not shoveling snow off your sidewalk and then he tells me that about the mudholes. Of course, everyone was :floorlaugh: because I totally believed him.

so i try to be cautious. ;)

What a small world, life works in mysterious ways on how conincodences happens. Who knows mickey may have seen him herself a few times. Oh poor mivkey. I'm suppose to go out tonight and I just don't know how I'm going to be social at all! I'm devastated, everyone thinks I'm silly for being so called "obsessed" with the case but it's just human compassion, if I went missing I'd want people to care, to help find me. Hmm just don't know what to say first I was excited someone was arrested, the interested, then went to sadness, then to shock and now I just want to stay home and not talk to anyone. Mickey may u RIP there are many people touched by your life.

Believe me, we here at Websleuths understand. We've gone through this many times with these cases, and it really does affect us. We care. You care, it's bound to affect you. Go out for a while and try to enjoy yourself. Cases like this are a real downer and an evening out helps a lot. Go, talk to your friends/family/whomever, and try to relax for a few hours.

For those of you not from the area, I thought I would do a little informative explanation of the locations here:

GquH1.png

MS Was last seen roughly where that red dot is. The line is Johnston St, where there are a string of car dealerships. I'd LOVE to know what one he went to, because as I mentioned before, I sold a car to the father of a guy that looks like him whose last name was Lavergne, and had to drive them both back north to Opelousas, then 6 miles or so west... Pretty much exactly where this guy lives. I am almost 100% positive that I was in the car with this guy for an hour getting him back to his house with his father.

That big red circle is the Atchafalaya river basin. The bridge of I-10, crossing through that circle, is the 14th longest in the world. Its literally 35 miles of swamp that you are crossing over. There are a few exits, where people like to fish all the time. You pass there when you want to go to Baton Rouge. Whiskey Bay seems a likely "First thought" place to hide something that you dont want found. Quite surprised the bike was even found, dude must not have done a good job of hiding it.

The area where he lives? West of Opelousas... Honestly, its territory that nobody really knows what goes on. Everyone sticks to themselves, extremely rural, very dirt road back country area... wouldnt surprise me to think that he could have brought her there and nobody would have even had a clue.

Elaine Lane address in Swords

Google Earth will accept lat-long.

I keep trying to pull this up on google but can't get it. What address did you use to pull it up?
Copy and paste the coordinates above into google. That should take you there.

no one knows for sure, but it is more likely of his truck, possibly with mickey and her bike in it. him on his way home probably because betrand from what i understand wasn't part of any of her routes

Bertrand is the side street leading to Mel's Diner though. ???

the fine is waived if you throw a big crawfish boil for the association. JMO

I swear...

Thats exactly where I dropped these people off, with the last name Lavergne...

Man, if someone could only tell me (who knows these people) if an old man named ____ Lavergne (either related to the perp, or the perps father) who is a bit illiterate and a little on the dull end of the spectrum as far as wits go lives in the area... And what dealership they went to. I am 99% sure that this is exactly where I went to drop them off, a few years ago.

I was thinking more along the lines of they found human remains or evidence of murder but it hasn't been identified as MS. I dont really know how affidavits work/are worded. I'm just holding out hope based on something CS posted today. If that makes sense at all...

The actual warrant was posted online someplace and it does specify Mickey. I fear she may not have been found as yet, so Charlie may be in denial...

I think what makes it more difficult for "us folks" is that in most cases, our friends and family do not share our interest in WS and these cases. Or at least in any great degree. JMO

With most of you I have read this thread from it's first date posted...the only great ending would have been Mickey coming home and hugging her family. Anticipating tomorrow rattles my brain and strains my heart beyond words...

I thank all of the great sleuthers here from the bottom of my heart, you never cease to amaze me. A most grateful nod to the locals for making us familiar with Lafayette. Thank you for your devotion in the searches. Amazing. Thank you to the Mods for your unending patience and hard work. Thank you to Tricia for creating such an incredible home for us all.

What may feel like an ending to some of us is only the beginning for the Shunicks. God's Light, peace and strength be with them. There are no words. As hard as any of us may cry this night, it will pale in the Shunicks upcoming journey. Keep them in your prayers, wishes, thoughts and your heart.

Much Light to all,
CG

Oh, how I hope he will confess, lead LE to Mickey and spare this family a trial...and also provide them with only the details that they want to know.
