FWIW, I would've been creeped out, just as you are, with the same questions. I find nothing out of the ordinary to have a sudden "icky" feeling when something like this comes to light and you realize you had a strange encounter with the perp, yourself.

Exactly. I was creeped out when I heard Wood Group, in the same office complex as Weststaff, b/c I was recently there with my children. I thought, what if he was there that day for whatever reason, what if we walked right past him? What if I made eye contact with him? Probably not...I would have to go back to check the date I was there. He could have been offshore. He may not ever go into that office anyway, since his work address is listed as the Gretna location, not the Lafayette location. But still, it just freaks me out. His previous residence (when he was convicted) is my hometown. That freaks me out too.

So many of you have posted that you think Charlie is still holding out hope that Mickey is still alive. I just now watched the Calling All Angels video that was posted on facebook at the time BSL was arrested yesterday, and it is very obvious that they now think she's an angel because of that song. I don't think they would have posted it if they thought she was still alive. If you are questioning, go watch it yourself. Also, Charlie's page went private, I don't think she would do that if she still thought we could help find Mickey. So I'm not sure where that confusion is coming from... but I believe the family is well aware as we all are.

one of the head volunteer ladies on the news said that she posted the angel video just minutes before they heard the news of the arrest. i think they were calling all angels to find her and bring her home. at that time, they still that she was alive.

lot's of cajun daddies don't care about class when it comes to stuff like this. if they had their way, people like this would be hung in town square. i'm not saying it's right, but South Louisiana is a special place for many reasons. the hard core cajuns are different

**BIG Legal Question I Have: Will this Press Conference coming up release and real detailed info, like where Mickey IS, or is it really true that these perps have more rights than they should? Because he's been charged, there is only so much detail they can release, yes?

Can ANYONE elaborate on what we can expect in terms of info today?

Which is exactly why I think he dumped the bike, and potentially the body, on his way to work offshore.

The time would be right. My boys leave around 2AM on their way out for their two week hitch.

It might be more of a thanks to the following agencies...we think we have a tight case...we can't release additional details at this time, but are confident that we have the right person in custody.....etc.

It has to be done, but won't say much, IMO.

LE will show enough probable cause to arrest him on the charges and everything else we are given is a bonus. I really don't expect too much info today.

I am still really confused about the murder charge being in Lafayette (city of Lafayette is in Lafayette Parish) rather than in St. Landry Parish where he lives. This has to mean they believe she was murdered in Lafayette...maybe in the desolate areas along her route after the Circle K (I can think of a few where it'd be very unlikely anything would be seen or heard at 2am, especially if it happened IN his truck and it was parked with its headlights off). It sickens me to think about it....

as for the presser? They never seem to provide much information, especially when we have all waited so long to hear anything of value from them. Going to be an optimist and hope it gives all some answers.

To get this straight in my brain- - The DWT on university with the bed liner is the truck.
The one in the Wood group parking lot with the bed liner is the same truck?
The truck in front of circle K that people thought had the bike under it in NOT the truck?
Did either truck at the circle K have bedliners or could it be seen?

Am I even close?

Just my personal opinion and realize not everyone shares it....

I think the two trucks in front of the Circle K are the same truck. Early on it was implied that LE thought the truck traveled on the same streets after she did and then ended up going in the opposite direction of Mickey after they both passed the Circle K. The link is on the media page.

There is a truck on the Wood Group lot in an undated satellite image that appears to be a similar truck as it appears to have a chrome has cover which I think we all know by now is a rare find.

I still think he hit her with the truck if even to disable her. I can't see her stopping easily for a stranger.

I realize I said some things that may sound a little mean about the immediate family, but this whole situation... to have met Mickey before, to be best friend with several of her friends, I was in her same general social circle... and these people and that house stood out to me 2 years ago and I have always been creeped out by that event. It was hands down the worst hour of my life as a car salesman driving them back home. And then when I saw the house again, the location, and the last name, it all came back to me.

The guy who was arrested for the Sierra Lamar case was charged with kidnapping and murder and they still haven't found her body.
I guess you don't have to have a body to accuse someone of murder.?

i think BSL confessed to police after the arrest or to the girlfriend beforehAnd maybe. he doesn't seem to be putting up much of a fight

IIRC, wasn't it said that the home on that lot is pretty new, his old one caught on fire and he used the neighbors phone to call the FD?

I've been in contact with Charlie and have a close connection w/her, as I lost my own little sister similarly, so I don't want to post anything without as much fact as possible, as a respect to Charlie and her family.

So sad...
So even whether or not they know Mickey's whereabouts info will be withheld? Damn.
