It's impossible for people to do several things at once. I see.

If you think for one minute that I am going to walk away after 18 months on this; you're wrong.

I don't believe anyone is claiming that *I* personally brought him to justice. He hasn't been brought to justice; as he hasn't been judged. Im not quite sure what your issue is with me but I suggest you bury it, because I didnt jump in here guns blazing.

I suspect the bitterness towards AR activists in this case might have to do with the AR group that came forward, admitting that they created some YT accounts, pretending to be him, and claiming that these efforts led to his arrest (which is just ridiculous, and I am pretty sure you weren't part of this 'group' that ended up wasting time and energy).

One thing I am not sure about and wonder what you all think.

Will L.M.'s DNA be at the crime scene in a way that makes him incontrovertibly the killer I mean enough to survive the assaults of the most brilliant defense lawyer (not that I think he will get that good a lawyer).

Yeah; I can totally see that. I can say with 100% certainty that my group is totally against that and thought it morally reprehensible. We've stated so several times on their stupid facebook page.

That was REALLY stupid of them.

Im hoping for that. Im hoping for really good forensic evidence. I imagine that he washed the body in the bath, but honestly.. not being a forensics expert am not sure how much that gets rid of.

Edit: for those familiar with Canadian justice.. do they do pro-bono work there for high profile crimes like they do in the States? An up and coming hot shot lawyer type to get his name out there?

And that is the point I've been trying to make this evening.

Why this persistence, well after LRM has a warrant for his arrest for first-degree murder and several other charges involving committing indignities to a dead body and the harassment of a Prime Minister, do people persist in trying to nail him for killing kittens.

I understand the need for the animal activists to see what they believe is the end to their case, but surely there are thousands of other animals who need saving that need their energies now.

I just hope this isn't a case of them wanting to capitalize on the murder of Jun Lin, thinking that somehow their efforts helped bring LRM to justice.

Because it didn't go down that way. It simply didn't.

actually it was people who were familiar with LM through the Kitten tapes that told police it was LM who had made the kill vid ... and this was before they found JL

yea i believe thats alot of it.. the ones that went to the media claiming they had a role,a nd were a big help gave the whole AR crew a bad rap...

the torso was found outside the apt. they used sec cam footage to fig out wit was luka, which lead them to the apartment, putting out the warrant.. and lrm was picked up in germany by an regular tipster who saw the news.. and probably have loads of dna.. LE probably has enough to get a conviction without ever logging online

it doesn't ... there is no way you could remove/wash your DNA from a crime scene like that.

ever since the police bungled connecting Bernardos DNA in the 90s ... I am sure they have gotten better in the DNA business.

that is all you need to see ... same as you don't need to see him digest the part he appeared to eat

*WARNING...some discussion is graphic*

It's amazing to me how people's brains think they saw something that their brains simple piece together based on insinuation. For example, no one has seen LM actually eat anything in the video, yet there is much debate on the cannibalism and whether or not it is real and many news main stream media were quick to call him a cannibal. Sick, yes. Murderer, highly likely. Cannibal, not convinced (hopefully that 15 min vid sheds light on this, but based on what I've read, no LE has come out and said he actually ate body parts in the video.)

Next, there is the "private parts" discussion. Again, you do not see the private parts, yet there is suggestion on the vid that he used the victim's parts to masturbate. And the portion where he appears to mount the victim, there is nothing on the video that actually shows the definitive act of penitration, yet many just assume it happened. Really, I don't recall that you can even tell LM has an erection because you can see the little guy and I don't even recall any shots where LM is clothed and excited. Near the end, you see his skinny legs, and, once again, there is a lot of suggestion of what is going on with LM and the body parts, but it shows nothing definitive.

All of these acts or mimicked acts ironically fit in with LM's internet persona that he created; there's so much confusion about who he really is other than someone who lies a lot and murdered JL as well as several animals.

In an odd way, I think all this contraction that all of us have here about whether he did this or did not do that is exactly what will play out in court. And while not being familiar with Canadian law, the defense can easily place a lot of doubt in any jury's mind, and that's all they need to do.

I guess, in the end, all that matters is they prove that LM killed Jun Lin and it was premeditated. The rest is maybe important simply to understand the mind of someone that would play all this out in real life.

Does anyone know if they can actually test Jun Lin's blood for drugs...like Rohypnol, the date rape drug?

Also, so many seem to be convinced that LM met Jun Lin over craigslist. I'm not sure why though. I can rattle off three or four hook up sites where anyone can meet up and hook up very quickly. If you've heard of Grindr, it's an iPhone app that allows you to view a pic of someone else on it and then chat with them. It could have been as simple as that. LM chats up JL and 20 minutes later they are in LM's apartment. LM offers JL a drink, drugs it. The rest is what you see in the video.

OK my two cents.

Agreed; they would have found him either way, whomever reported it first.

@ Baudi Moovan
not sure where you are located, but any chance of you or anyone of your group will be able to make the trial...at least some of it?

the apartment is going to be FILLED with dna.. luka lived there for 4 months.. the trick is connecting the dna to the victim and TOD..

but you also have to remember, as little hints have suggested.. the apartment building seems to have atleast 1 camera.. this can easily put luka entering and leaving the apartment, aswell as Jun lin..

Not sure. It's doubtful. We do have one person who lives in Montreal, but I am not sure they want to go to the trial. I live very far away and it would be difficult to attend. Additionally; Im am not sure that I'd get a seat :)

No, it wasn't, unless you're saying the lawyer from Montana was part of the kitten tapes fiasco.

Are you prepared to say that publicly?

its come to light that many people contacted police in canada, but the guy in montana *****ed to the media first so he got all the attention

Wasnt it Bestgore that told the Police about the murder first? I have no knowledge of any AR groups reporting it first.

the cops never listened to the guy from Montana ...

I'm talking about people that saw the tape (yes BG) and informed the police it was LM on it.

No, it wasn't. It was a lawyer from Montana.

Nobody claimed any type of cultural superiority. Nobody said that there are no Canadians that go to great lengths to seek attention.
The clear implication of:

"At the risk of offending non-Canadian posters, I have to say that this is just something they need to understand. Will there be one or two people who go to the media for attention? Sure, we've already seen it happen. Is it the norm here? Thankfully, no."

... is that other countries (like... ummm... the US?) have more people seeking attention than Canada does. The clear implication is that attention-seeking behavior is "the norm" in certain countries other than Canada. I'm not going to comment on this any further, but I found that comment in insulting, and I stand by my previous comment. The latter part of your statement is ridiculous and will not get a response from me.

I could be wrong, but the guy from Montana did report the video, but did not know it was LM. He wasn't taken seriously. Somebody else, perhaps the "Kitten People" (teehee), I don't know who, identified him. The video first popped up on that abominable gore site.
