I do believe there is some truth to this program. I find it very convenient the results of the DNA come very close to the conclusion of the program. I would never suspect Dave of orchestrating this, I don't blame him for doing this at all. I would have done the same thing if it got me answers. I'm just not convinced all of the program is "real". Just as most reality shows are choreographed, I feel this too is happening to this program. I certainly hope we find out something tho!

I am just catching up on this thread so if this has been discussed I apologize. I have been sceptical of Gabriel all along, but I think I want to believe him so bad I am overlooking my gut feeling here. What struck me a s strange is when they returned from their night out in New Orleans and were talking in bed, neither one was drunk, high, with another woman, etc. This creep JL would have been so far gone in real life. Being in New Orleans with all the "stuff" that goes on down there....I was not buying that conversation as genuine.

And they were in bed at what time?? I cannot recall. Was it 10:45 pm? Two druggies, not doing drugs in their hotel room, not drinking while talking. Hell, even I at my age would be up muccccch later.

John know the laws, what he says cannot be held against him in Aruba. It's not the States. :moo:

I'm asking because I thought they were staying in the downtown New Orleans area, and were on foot during that time. The detective was following them and said they went inside that restaurant, then he lost them after they left out the back door. But I just checked the Bonefish Grill locations, the only one that shows up is in Metairie which is over 10 miles and a 20 minute drive away.

ETA: There is a Red Fish Grilll on Bourbon Street. Is it possible that the PI mispoke? Kind of strange for a PI to mistake one restaurant for another though. Seems to me like being precise regarding locations, etc., would be rather important, don't you think? JMO

The camera kept panning the Hotel Monteleone. It's on 214 Royal Street which is as you say over 10 miles away and a 20 minute drive. I'm not sure where they were staying or if they ever said. It doesn't seem right tho.

Thank you for the Hotel name, nannymo. So here's the link to the map from there to the Bonefish Grill. As you can see, it's no where near Bourbon street. And as we both seem to conclude, something doesn't seem quite right. The question is, was it just a mistake? Hard to believe considering they're doing a television series on it isn't it? Were they just that sloppy? I guess it's possible. But if not, then what? :thinking:

Just my thoughts on the restaurant name. I'm thinking PI misspoke and I hope a statement is issued to clarify. I'm thinking it was The Red Fish Grill.

I too think there is a mixture of facts vs lies. Hopefully the facts will reveal the truth. I'm not counting on Aruba will act any differently than they have from the beginning though.

I need to explain that I had not seen the 3rd episode when I posted about the times. I was talking about the second episode in the above posts. I went to Oxygen.com and watched the third episode last night and it is even worse about times.
Episode 3: John asks Gabriel if he wants to go eat at that market. It shows them outside and a clock on a building registers 7:30. At 8:30pm they are in their hotel room, in bed talking about the murder and the details. The timestamps on the video show them still talking at 9:18PM, 10:02pm, 11:19pm, 12:31pm and the last time stamp from the video is at 2:07AM! What 2 men go to New Orleans to gamble and party and are in bed by 8:31 and lay there talking until 2AM? I am not buying it! Something is not right here!

Do we know where Gabriel and John live? I was under the impression they all lived in Aruba, but that is not true I don't think.

Another thing that bothers me is Gabriel always complaining about not being able to work because he can't trust John in his house. And his wife doesn't like him there. How is Gabriel making a living? It appears to me he is complaining because he wants money from TJ. How does he support his family?

All very interesting.

Maybe a mistake is not the word I meant. I think it's being portrayed as something it's not. It's ok if it's a dramatization or whatever. I'm fine wth it. Just don't piss on my head and tell me it's rain.

I am very uncomfortable with this show. I understand it is being done to get Aruba to act, but I feel so much of it is staged. Even Dave.......gosh I hate to think that, let alone say it! The PI likes being on the camera too much. The ex FBI guy never says much of anything.

Every kind of tv show follows some type of direction of a script of what they want to capture filming.I never for a second didn't think Jon and Gabriel weren't doing drugs/drinking. I just figured it was edited out.
Regardless of how it came about, because they were filming this series something was found. If it turns out to be a match with DNA, then the agony this family has been in will end.

So you're saying the part we're seeing may have been edited.... i.e., all the time that was showing them not in the room because they were out partying. Which I suppose would be why we don't see them after they returned to the room and were surely totally buzzed. Which I suppose could then also provide an explanation as to why the timeline doesn't workout.
Hmmm.... I don't know what to think, but am considering that as a possibility.

I totally do not blame Dave and the PI for what they are doing. I am saying these 2 guys went to New Orleans for a party and they are in bed at 8:30! I don't believe that. Yes, it is scripted at times, but give me a break. The normal John Q Public is smart enough to know something is not right here. I truly hope this comes to fruition and charges can be brought against John and Joran VDS.
