I have a thought about it being premeditated, like for someone who had only been on the island a few days, I think he knew the island very well.. Maybe he had studied it on google earth or something, maybe he knew the currents, which way they flowed..Maybe he wiped his HD clean before he went. All speculation of course, just looking from a different angle.:waitasec:

I actually do think this is a possibility. Just think about it, GG took Robyn on this vacation when he obviously couldn't afford to be vacationing because of his own financial woes. He went totally on the cheap, his hotel paid for with his Marriott points, even mixing their own drinks out of plastic cups.

This causes me to at least suspect he may have had a financial gain in mind otherwise there would have been no trip to Aruba.

And because he seemed to have such a fixation on the Natalee Holloway case, I also wonder if he wrote to Joran Van Der Sloot in prison. :twocents:

Only heard about it from a poster who said he'she saw it on TV
No major media seemed to pick that up , so we don't know very much about that

Don't you find it even a little bit strange her roommate declared her dead and was giving all her belongings to a battered women shelter so soon after she vanished?

It's hard to rule anything out. It appears Robyn was in several abusive relationships in the past and it wasn't just her companion who was at fault,so she was not the type to steer away from confrontation. He wasn't buying her drinks at the cafe he was mixing them up in his car and if you look at the pics at Moomba Beach again he was mixing up his own drinks there too. I don't think she was the type that liked cheap

Giordano was way over his head financially as you know from your research and it appears his scams/thefts got bigger and bigger over the years. His income reportedly was like 1/3 of what his bills were and his mother was paying his mortage..Total con man and thief who had the balls to steal computers in broad day light at target and forge docs and then try and sue for huge money over that recruitment job. Before Aruba in July he had some moon plot business and was trying to scam people on online jobs. Clearly this guy was desperate as hell as he was even trying to lower his child support payments. Judging from his past I don't believe he was afraid to pull a major con job. But murder?

Rf says that Robyn spent six nights a week at his place
I can only assume a lot of her things were there
GG said she drowned and he was in jail
LE said there were many inconsistencies in his statement
They also said (LE) that she was probably gone

Perhaps based on LE statements , she also believed that Robyn would not be coming back

What do you think he wanted?? He already had taken "beyond pornographic" pictures of Robyn "featuring" HIS body parts (pardon me, EEEEWWWWW!), that was a pretty good start for someone like him, don't you think?

I really can't figure out what happened, but I am inclined to believe it may have been an accident in the heat of the moment. I mean he has always been able to find some poor women to do what he wanted, why murder, why Robyn, why now?? I wouldn't think he would wait until he was 50 to start, right?

I am with those who find his 2 visits to the Rum Reef curious!

I can't imagine they revisited because of the food

I can certainly understand touring any location when visiting
I don't understand doing it twice at this particular location

It has unusual landscape , I rather liked it

The restaurant was closed the first visit, but I have wondered if it is always closed on Monday, or did it just close right before they arrived there. I wish I knew what the hours were, not that it would matter, lol.

I also wonder why they went into the dive shop, as it was reported that they didn't ask about good snorkeling spots nor did they rent any gear.

Sorry,I don't remember that at all..From what I recall it was open but I could be wrong. I think both of them were captured on video sometime around 3-4 that day.

3:09pm – Toyota RAV-4 drives by The Rum Reef Bar & Grill – seen on video.

3:41pm – GG & RG seen walking by the ‘closed’ restaurant gates –“ walking on beach” seen on video.

I think the last report we saw regarding the computer was that it could take months to try and figure out what was on his computer. `jmo

A surveillance video was released on Monday showing missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner on the beach in Aruba with prime suspect Gary Giordano the day before she disappeared, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The grainy footage was shot on August 1 and shows Gardner, 35, and Giordano,50, leaving the restaurant where they would have their final meal together the next day, reported ABCNews.com.

There are many chilling similarities between the two days, causing speculation that Giordano was doing a rehearsal of the murder and casing out the crime scene.

What we see in the video is a gated entrance/exit to what looks like a store room, or it could be a deliver area. Is it possible it is gated all the time and it just appears the restaurant is closed. The video on Monday was not from the main entrance of the restaurant so it could have been still open and RG and GG were just not interested in eating that day. Maybe the reporter who viewed the video assumed it was closed because of the gated exit where the camera caught them as they passed. It is possible this area is always gated. I'll put that on my "to do" list. lol

I did say in post 500 that he MAY have cleaned his HD before he left, and that it was just speculation on my part.lol.. I know the last time mine got wiped that was not the thing that i wanted..

The only mention of the hard drive being wiped clean was from Sunnyskies ( I may have misspelled that nic)
She said she heard it on a local news program

Several of us searched for confirmation and could find nothing

I am not saying it never happened, I am just saying we found nothing further about it
