Message to women: Do not go to Aruba with an internet associate.
Addendum: Don't even go to lunch with an internet associate without properly vetting them, male or female. She knew full well who he was and capable of, Auburn. There is speculation locally that suggests that GVG paid for full dental veneers and cosmetic surgery for the woman. This was no random relationship turned sour. That does not, of course, suggest that she deserved any foul play, but foul play has yet to be proven.

You bring a good point.... All Maryland dockets are fully searchable by name for everything from traffic to murder.... What people forget is that the DC metro area at any given point is within 5 miles of Maryland, DC, and Virginia. I wonder how many if any complaints/charges were filed in DC/VA.... it's a simple matter to file a request for public information (same applies to ALL states), but it takes a fee and time...... And I'm a bit lazy. :) I just like to se complete disclosure and transparency. I don't like the boyfriend on TV acting like a grieving widow when he may have his own dirt. I don't like Robyn being portrayed as a schoolgirl. The whole matter stinks. As for Aruba law, they fall under Dutch rules. Even if you killed someone in front of authorities you don't get formally charged until trial. Hence the "keep GVG in custody as long as possible" routine.

GG is clear in D.C. from what I could tell just now. Virginia requires a log-in.

It will be interesting to see how long they will keep GG in custody. I almost get the idea they are thinking about framing him with this insurance thing, but I digress into too much speculation. There may well be something to it, I don't know.

I honestly don't think Maryland is all that slow. IMO
I had my car stolen last year. It took the PG county police 3 hours to come take a simple report. I was saying that in order for Montgomery County to reopen a claim of sex assault (which did not happen, BTW- it was a petition for order of protection that was dropped by the plaintiff for whatever reason), it would take months/years to sort out if GVG has an attorney worth his salt- and it appears he does given his past troubles. A fresh sexual assault on US soil? Any state will expedite such a criminal case. Maryland judiciary process? SLOW.

Not quite sure how to say this but....PG county? Oh yeah...SLOW. Because...well you know why. They have sooo much BS at all times. Unless it is a murder/rape/etc type case in PG, takes forever. I do believe Montgomery and others are a bit different. JMO

I took travel insurance out on my sister when she and I went to Belize. It's a dang American Express travelers check policy for 400 bucks that you pay and sign at the point of purchase when you get your checks... I'm just glad she didn't get eaten by a crocodile. I might still be there...........

Sorry to quote myself but I felt my post above wasn't clear. As an example: My cousin did something stupid in Charles county, went to a lawyer (my bro in law) and he immediately had it moved to PG. Why? He knew *there* it would be no big deal and he was right. She got off with barely a slap on the wrist. Elsewhere in MD she would have served time. Just saying.

Right, I went to the AMEX website and checked it out. The policy is null and void if the accidental death occurs while on any kind of substance. GG himself said she was on sleeping pills. He wouldn't have said that if he had planned this ahead of time.

I would give the guy the benefit of the doubt if he didn't profile so well as a sexual murderer. His anger towards women is a real threat. He can't control it and is a freak.

You're right. No Dolce/Gabbana shops here. Bethesda/Frederick/etc..... It's a whole different planet. Thankfully. It's like Mr. Rogers' imaginationland over there. But I digress. I'm breaking forum rules. :banghead:

Ha, actually you are not. You are letting people in on the REAL MD. heh
I'm *very* close to your location I think so no judgement here.

Agreed. And he'll spiral the same behavior if he's free, that's a given. However much I hate doing it, though.... I'm digging as hard as I can into everyone else around him. RG, RF, her 'best friend' CJ, his exes, etc. If we know everything there is to know about them, we can paint a picture of their lifestyles, habits, and patterns. I'm also not convinced that the insurance policy theory isn't credible. It would be a simple matter to sign off on a policy (though they aren't immediately payable.... usually 7 years or so?) and take a boat in the dusk to Bonaire of Cura. 20 US dollars will buy you a boat ride anywhere in the Caribbean as long as you don't mind the smell of fish.

After police discovered ” beyond pornographic" pictures of missing ROBYN GARDNER in the camera of suspect Gary Giordano, The ENQUIRER has learned of a startling link to the NATALEE HOLLOWAY case!
*Prime suspect, Gary Giordano – the last per*son to see pretty Robyn Gardner alive – appears to have sexually targeted blonde women who resembled Natalee.
*Sources say he offered at least one other a trip to Aruba for some hot and heavy fun in the sun.
*A source close to the investigation said Aruban authorities are working on developing a theory that Giordano, 50, of Gaithers*burg, Md., could have “murdered Robyn Gardner while acting out fantasies he had about Natalee Holloway -- AND the way he imag*ined she was killed.”

I agree with both of you but would not put it past ALE.

This woman and apparently the suspect are both from the town I live in. Shocking, as not much happens here. This is way too "close to home" for me. If someone told me someone from my town would go missing like Natalee H. in Aruba, I would have thought they were crazy.

I would agree. If we discard her story, there doesn't seem to be anything else connecting GVG to the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 industry. We know he filmed and photographed himself having sex with women, but unless the FBI or Aruban authorities make some electronic connections between GVG and selling 🤬🤬🤬🤬, I think for now it's safe to assume that he used his computer science degree to make money.

I don't know much about 🤬🤬🤬🤬 but the little bit I have seen is nice body males and females, not the likes of Gary G. I tend to think his surrupticious videos were for his own personal use, certainly not something he hoped to sell as a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 video. Maybe in the underground world of 🤬🤬🤬🤬, his being attractive or not was not important, who knows?
I think it was just an icky 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (showing 'organs')??? made by an icky man. JMO

It was the boyfriend that claimed Robyn would never get into the water, but who also claimed that she was a strong swimmer. Both can't be true. If she is indeed a strong swimmer, I'm sure her mother has cleared that up. If she's a strong swimmer, then I think it's more likely that she went snorkeling with him and it's also quite possible that they were unaware of the riptides in the area.

Her boyfriend said she was a strong swimmer BUT she would have not wanted to get in water because she had hair extensions and would not want to ruin her make-up.
She sounds very vain to me. IIRC her best friend, who has a hair salon in Frederick, said the same thing- she wouldn't have wanted to get her hair wet or ruin her make up..

:innocent:

Don't forget "paid assignments only", also.

Sounds to me like Aruba was the place she wanted to be..."on assignment" for photoshoot but once there finds her photographer wants more than just pics. Plus she was unemployed so maybe agreed to go to Aruba b/c she needed the money? She describes on her profile as having her pics taken by "an aspiring photographer"- was that Gary G.?

In Thread #1, we were discussing possible interpretations of the text message she supposedly sent: "the 16"

(wasn't this is response to her boyfriend's question: Where r u baby?)

Someone said that it was pretty much confirmed that it meant her return date. I mentioned I had thought of that; however, I did not think the trip was scheduled for that length of time.

In this article, GG and RG were scheduled to be there for for only 5 days.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/08/20/earlyshow/saturday/main20094961.shtml:

The two arrived on the island July 31 for a five-day getaway, after meeting online.
