I agree with your meaning of the word calculating, in his case
making sure not only that things go his way, but also that he
doesn't get caught. He might have meant this to happen but
I don't believe it happened that way for GG
The insurance policy alone raises questions.
If he was using the snorkling story he should have invesigated
her likes and dislikes with her. First thing I would have asked is do
you like to snorkel. Maybe then she would say no and reveal the
extentions. GG just presumed everything, so again I would not
refer to him as bright in the deep sense of the word, with all this at
stake.

a couple of comments have been made about the argument in the hotel that was on video
Yesterday i posted a news item where Angela said the police reviewed all videos and saw nothing

Has something come up since then?

Ann Angela, a spokeswoman for the Aruban public prosecutors office, said authorities are still trying to piece together what Giordano and Gardner were doing in the days before her disappearance, and how they were getting along. She said police have reviewed surveillance video from the hotel where they stayed, and examined images of Giordano and Gardner, but didn’t see anything unusual.

“We have the video and we don’t see anything,” Angela said.

wondering if his car was dirty - re driving on dirt roads... ??

I have read nothing about witnesses saying the car was dirty
It was returned to the rental company and cleaned before police inspected it
The rental company said there was nothing unusual about the car when cleaned

I guess I have wishful thinking. Out of the alternatives, I pray that she is still alive. If no one in the investigation chooses to "entertain" seemingly outlandish theories, oh well, then. Let's hope that the authorities are thorough and searching everywhere on and off of that island.

Sometimes, I wonder why me and other people care so much. OK, I can answer that, because some of us have been victimized by means of which some people deem discountable.

I appreciate and understand your wishful thinking
I too would love to see her found alive and well
I am sure LE looks at any and all leads

There is nothing wrong with caring, its wonderful to care
And i am very sorry if you have been victimized, I really am

He submitted two different signatures of the same person in 3 months to a major company that has high fraud controls in place, concerning 1.5 million dollars. Calculating is not a good word to describe him. Stupid works better.

Thats my opinion
thirty five is not old by any means, but i think in this case, human trafficking ,
I think it s getting up there

Agreed...Human Trafficing usually involves much younger victims. As far as the extensions...if these two had a sexual relationship...he would have known about the extensions...they are usually beaded in and can be felt...or the glued on kind cannot be pulled or they come out...either way he would have known. I think he is just not that bright.

But do you really believe that anyone (anyone who has owned his own business[es] for years and at one point qualified for a 1+ million dollar home loan to boot!) could be that stupid???

It's almost tooooo simple. And that is what, I believe, throws this case way way off of the norm.

And that brings RG up. At 35 could she be that naive? I think she
learned of his temper and other doings long before this trip.
Something doesn't fit with her either.
And, if she was a heavy drinker as some have reported, I think
she should have known how much she could take, or I think she would
I've never been in that position so I don't know if it begins slowly and then
to the point you don't know what's happening!

On another note, the boyfriend, RF, he spoke very matter of factly
on TV at all times, but yet her belongings were gone, if I heard correctly
before her disappearing but after her text to him. What's up with that?

Something just doesn't sit right moo

Does anyone here think Robyn's dress allegedly being on Roger's beach (close to the towells) an indication that whatever happened happened at that beach?

That could be but I could also lean towards a plant the way this
case is going.
Whatever the answer is, GG needed to place that dress somewhere
close to the time she disappeared in my opinion.

I believe there is a thin line between a "heavy" drinker and "alcoholic."
Either way she may have known her limit, but once she began drinking the "limit" never occurred to her. She would keep drinking until drunk, perhaps even blacking out so as to not even remember what she had done or said. She would be the "perfect" victim. That is what makes this so very sad and I would imagine that is exactly why GG kept a bottle of Vodka in their room as well as their car. It made her easy to handle.

Could you explain the RF paragraph, not sure what you were trying to say?TIA

Hi Micheline,

Do we know that dress was recovered? I am not sure there was confirmation on that fact.

I know some really smart people who are very stupid, in some regards. It seems clear he is a really dumb criminal.

Yes. He has such a narcissistic, sociopathic mind and believes he's so much smarter than everyone else, and why not, he's gotten away w/ his lies and manipulations all of his life. (Just listen to his pour, pathetic father actually trying to defend him. Talk about enabling.) Until, that is, his sense of entitlement and arrogance finally get the best of him, turning him into a stupid man who does stupid things which will eventually destroy him. Sadly, he takes a few down with him along the way.

I know, me too.

Yes, only because of his narcissism, it is typical due to their arrogance and delusions of grandeur. It blinds them to reality.

I guess I was thinking aloud lol I guess I meant he said everything
was okay with him and nothing mattered but getting Robin back etc.

But then to get all her stuff out of his place so soon, told me he
wasn't all he appeared to be concerning RG. He might just be
hiding anger along with hurt and jealousy very well!
I never could understand how his reaction was as such. MOO

HS, are you saying "both" signatures (May and July) were forgeries? Has the May signature been proven a forgery? I am not sure either one have been proven to have been forged--did I miss something?:waitasec:

I think it's understandable for him to be very hurt and angry in the beginning, but then when he finds out she's missing it goes beyond that and his worry and fear for Robyn take over.
