I am not reaching a verdict. It is not a legal opinion. If I were on the jury I could not convict him on what I know so far.
However, in the realm of common sense, looking at everything I know about his past actions, and his hinky version of events, I believe he was responsible for her being missing.

Well, I think GG felt he was going to be held responsible for her being missing or why else would he have hired an attorney to handle a personal injury matter. He certainly felt that there was a possible threat by the family of a wrongful death suit when he tried to collect that insurance money. Tells you where GG's priorities were and it wasn't with RG's family. jmo

It does not help a victim if the police and/or media, create a scenario that solicits public opinion to have a blinkered approach and find a person guilty when there is no evidence to support this verdict.

<modsnip>

I am not on a jury regarding GG's innocence or guilt, I am not reaching any kind of verdict, so what I think or believe should not bother GG one iota.

I am forming my opinions in large part on the real live video of GG barely knicking the doors, in my opinion making no real attempt to alert anyone, tapping a door for 2 seconds and walking off, not even waiting for a response, minutes after RG's supposedly drowned and was washed out to sea. I am forming my thoughts on this case from what I actually saw in the several available videos. I can form whatever opinion I want, why would GG care what I think?

I am also forming my opinion on photos of the area, video of the water conditions and beach conditions and rocks in the area, and what GG said in the interviews with JB the minute he reached American soil. He did himself no favors in those interviews, and his attitude when he told the interviewer something along the lines of "I will interview myself here, I will ask the questions of myself," and what he said in those interviews, along with how he said it, i.e., the reason for the insurance, and also facts on his prior criminal background information and relationships with woman that has been written about in the press.

IMO, MOO, etc.

Likewise it does no good to infer that others who have sleuthed and looked at the evidence available to them have blinders on just because they come to a different conclusion.

Please feel free to make whatever points you want to make but respect the rights of others to disagree.

I ask you respectfully where did I direct my post at anyone here ?

I made absolutely no reference to any members of Websleuths.

I think what bothers me the most, too, is that the women who have complained about him in the past and have been stalked by him, threatened and some threatened with death or making them disappear so no one will ever find them are afraid to take him to court, terrified of him. He has given us no reason to trust anything he has said. When you threaten people and someone who is with you ends up dead there is a flag that goes up.

Some of the witnesses claim he had a scratch on his chin and neck. When questioned about it he became very defensive and said something to the effect that he would not kill her, she was his girlfriend. Isn't that an odd thing to say? The scratch really bother me a lot. Witnesses described it as looking as if someone scratched him with their fingernail. jmo

But you are making reference to posters of Websleuths. Otherwise you wouldn't post that particular comment here. JMO

Have a Happy New Year anyway, Lollipop! :seeya:

Sure, I can explain.

Read your original post again. It infers that people can't make their own intelligent decisions based on the evidence they are seeing with their own eyes; that they are being unduly influenced by LE and/or media. I had to remove your photo of people walking around with blinders on.

We all just need to respect the fact that others who view/study the exact same evidence may come to different conclusions. It should never be inferred that anyone has blinders on just because they have a different opinion.

Hope that helps. :)

:toastred: HAPPY NEW YEAR !

To all my fellow websleuthers, and to all the awesome mods here:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ! :fireworks:

However to level the playing fields, please also take note that after I was chastised, I have not specifically targeted any posters here, the same cannot be said for a number of posters here who infer continually by quoting my posts that I am supporting the suspect.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and yours a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year.

One of GG's male neighbor's seems to think the GG won't be bothering the two female neighbors anymore because of the national exposure he has gotten. I don't believe that is true. We can see in the GMA interview with Robin how he uses intimidation to control the conversation and get out what he wants to say. He has intimidated women in past relationships and some of his most current encounters with women he is using intimidation trying to control them (the mother and daughter). The trash thrown in the neighbor's yards, the dead animals, all are meant to terriorize them to get what he wants. He does not know how to put the breaks on. His past will definitely come back to haunt him one way or another. jmo

It sounds like several people feel misunderstood. :)

Please alert on any post that you feel targets you unfairly or violates WS policies.

Happy New Year everyone!

Some times people recognize behavior patterns in others they are all too familiar with. A person who forms a quick opinion may have had a significant experience with a person like GG and see the signs that others don't. People bring with them different values, ideas and experiences that help them judge a book by it's cover. Other's may not even have to see a snake to know that it is there because of their intuitive nature. Some of us are still waiting for that eureka moment before we decide one way or another whether we trust his story.

The only thing I am certain of at this point, is that I don't like him. I think he is arrogant and I would be inclined to believe all the complaints against him by these women. Not someone you would ever want in your life for sure. jmo

Criminal acts come with a price, accountability its name. Sometimes that price is not realized right at first. One can steal, lie, stalk, threaten, forge, and it's all fun and games until one's date turns up dead on one's watch.

Had GG been an upstanding citizen, loving husband, legitimate business man and a role model for his children, rather than an abuser of women, an exploiter his own children, and an arrogant thief, I might not have formed my "guilty" opinion from jump street.

You are so right, LC. Different experiences absolutely shape and affect how we perceive and understand the behaviors and personalities of others. I personally have had more than enough experiences with what I call "toxic" people, those like GG, that I can usually spot them a mile away. In fact, I almost hate to say that if anything I have become hyper vigilant in recognizing these type people.
So, like you, I totally distrust GG, and am more than inclined to believe that the claims against him are true and accurate. Besides, why would these women have reason to lie about it at this point? It would make no sense. JMO

Yes, it makes little sense to believe one person over a number of people with the same story who are not related to one another. jmo

My husband and I opened our Christmas present from our friends, who gave us some McLivet's Scotch. We had a few drinks after dinner, and my husband just went to take a 'nap.' It is only 8:30 pm here, but I am not sure he is going to be ringing in the NYear with me. LOL
